    I definitely love using things like this, things that you can wash and reuse instead of buying things over and over and throwing in trash to clutter and destroy our environment! These are perfect. I just happen to have some of this exact yarn and was wondering what to do with it, this is something Perfect to do. THANKS so much for reminding us things we all need to be doing and using~~xxx~~You are amazing~~Big Hugs~~Sindy. 🤗🧡💛💚💙💜

    Thought I would watch some of your tutorials to help with your hours. I have truly needed to make something like this. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I've been using socks and they don't fit very well. This will be so much better. I'm sitting here watching and listening while working on my very first shawl. I got tickled because in one of your giveaway videos you talked about watching another RUclipsr while crocheting. Multitasking!

    Hi Mama G 🤗 Thank you for this tutorial. Question: is cotton good for these? Or would an acrylic or polyester blend work? Thank you again!💜🤗

    • @mamaggear
      @mamaggear  Год назад +1

      I haven't made one in cotton so I'm not sure. My house has a lot of pet hair so the chenille works great for picking that up. But I don't see why cotton wouldn't be good as well.

    So how many rows did you crochet around after the initial 9 rows of the bottom?

    • @mamaggear
      @mamaggear  18 дней назад

      It's been a while since I've made one, but I'm guessing 3 rows. The 1st row is the sane amount of stitches, then the next row I decreased in the corners, and the last row was a loser stitch, so it was easier to weave in the elastic.

    I checked online and lion brand has discontinued this yarn. Do you know of any other yarn that would work the same?

    • @mamaggear
      @mamaggear  2 года назад

      Oh shoot, I didn't know that. Well any velvety type would work. Just stay with a 6 weight cuz I think 4 or less would be too thin. 🤔

    • @Vickiejo68
      @Vickiejo68 2 года назад

      @@mamaggear I found one in Premier called Parfait..its polyester, but its a 7 weight

    • @mamaggear
      @mamaggear  2 года назад +1

      I just saw some chenille yarn on lion brand for 50% off. Chenille was the word I meant to say instead of velvety 😆. 7 may work just use loose stitches.

    • @mamaggear
      @mamaggear  2 года назад

      Shoot the only chenille yarn lion brand has left is the DIY at 40% off with code CYC640 til 2pm est. I haven't checked other sites.
