I have watched many of your Super Fun Sunday's very informative I agree with your statement that hand drawn art should make
a comeback however due to lack of art appreciation and personality in art you don't see many art that has this impact. I could remember going to comic book shops and had to really save up just to buy comics because their were so many great comic artists and illustrators. The fact that Wrightson, Kaluta,Winsor-Smith and many others respected the artists that came before them is something not admired by many of the artists today. Now I go into a comic book store and I'm not moved too many artists are about likes and follows and not about the craftsmanship, I'm still a work in progress with my art you never stop learning. Would like to see a super Fun Sunday of Larry Stroman if possible.

Bernie was so good. My school library actually had a copy of Frankenstein. I kept it for so long the librarian told me I had to give other people a chance to check it out.

I actually inherited the first 3 of those binders from the FAS from my grandpa bank in 2014. They were mostly things that covered the fundamentals, but it was such a treat to read them.

Yes, there's a new printing of the Artist Edition out now. It's hard for me to rationalize buying so many of them, but the Frankenstein book is going to be mandatory; it's the sort of what the format was meant for. A good resource for black and white Wrightson is the Dark Horse collection of his work for Creepy and Eerie. His adaptation of the Black Cat is a masterwork.

Dark Horse has been killing it with their collections. I am so tight on cash. I have to just create this fantasy wishlist for a future date!!

I think I might love his paintings more than his Hatchings and I really love his hatchlings

Thank you for this feature. I love Wrightson's art. One painting of Wrightson's you don't see reproduced often is his cover painting for Meat Loaf's album 'Dead Ringer'. Probably due to copyright issues. One of my personal faves though.

David Finch was king of detail, especially on Top Cow's Ascension, until editors forced him to cur back to make deadlines. His attention to architecture and equipment had me floored. I still have the poster of Andromeda from the cover to issue #5.

Hi Rich! I might be the only who doesn't know how to do this but, how do you do that dripping ink effect on the lettering? It was near the beginning of the book. I'm loving this video! I didn't know Bernie drew like that! I've only seen a few of his pieces.
