I think their relationship ended in late 1987 after they finished touring. She had no money and left the group. By April 1989, Porche Martin replaced her, but it wasn't the same. Still Love AS!
Actually they were engaged. She and Wayne Lewis's brother David Lewis (who sung the duets with her) bumped heads out of jealousy and Barbara left the band
