3rd Strike is one kind of a game. Widely regarded as one of the greatest fighting game of all time.
Not only offering deep and fierce gameplay, but also top tier sprite animation. It still stands strong with active community even having been released for more than 20 years.
So...
Play 3rd Strike!!
All process done on Clip Studio Paint EX
Special special thanks to / yen_bm for personally taught me the basics of Clip Studio Paint on Discord.

Making Ken parry Chun-Li as the last frame we see was the biggest pop-off in an animation that had me hyped the entire way through. Thank you for this work of art.
The Daigo Parry 😆
Yeah that was. Hot 🔥

LETS GO JUSTIN!!!
As a Remy main, his intro with the hands just brought me back to all the times I was underestimated for playing him
This is fucking art
As a remy main i lost my shit after the finger snap, the detail, the fucking detail!
Remy main here, I found it cool that he was in here,
I saw most of the artwork in tumblr and was disappointed at first, and seeing him placed a smile on my face
As a French bishie Guile main, I agree with everything that was said here.
You in the US??? Cause you can get these hands!!! Fightcade and PSN 30th
Hello my fellow low tiers.
Amazing, nostalgia overload
nostalgia? you don't play this game everyday?
Hell yeah!
Indeed!

May I use this as a opener. I'll give you credit and if I become big ill bring ya with me.
Wish this would play every time I open up Third Strike 😭

This is incredible work, especially how well you convey everyone's personalities in only a few seconds, the stylized backgrounds, and of course the parry sequence at the end. You've clearly spent a lot of time with this game. I used to be a reviewer, and have played and written about literally hundreds of games. I've always loved fighting games the most, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is one of my all-time favorites. After all these years, it's one of the few that I regularly go back to. This video is a good reminder of why. Capcom should hire you for SFVI!
*I love how Capcom finally woke up and decided to continue the story from 3rd strike for SF 6* 👊
They brang back not a single character from sf3 bruh😭

I'm astonished, the fact that this game gets this kind of tribute 23 years after its release, just goes to show how amazing and special it is. Great job!
Its the best game, I still cant get away from it.
You don't probably get Alot of people appreciating your Hugo frames but thank you , You really nailed the big man's personality in that little time

This makes me realize how underrated the 3 cast is. I want to see fighters like Q and Remy again, they have so much potential!
mixing the charge mechanics of guile and the high/low mixups of sagat made remy the ultimate game of "guess what i'm gonna do" and i love it
@@n0rm4lly43 it's too bad remy was stuck in the wrong game basically
Hopefully they will never return😎
@grunchchristmas honestly I love Remy for his design the most, he looks very unique compared to other characters from the series and could really use an update
@@grunchchristmas #justiceforremy It's a shame, too. He sounds like he would fit right in with the cast despite his hatred for fighting.
the last moment being ken parrying chun's SA was exactly what i wanted. this is incredible
This make me want a Street Fighter III anime badly 😔

coming back to this animation now that third strike is 25... still a glorious, timeless animation and game
This is the freshest, yet most well-aged animation I've seen in recent memory. This could be an adult swim bumper for the game, months before it's release. I can almost feel CRT static oozing from this video. AND the Chun parry at the end? Absolutely top tier.
This animation is EVERYTHING!
I loved everything about SF3
The music, the characters, the stages. It really gives you some real street fighting vibes.
The narrator is a huge part of the experience too
lovED ?
the music was the worst part lol

@@BlackMageLozi nice bait bro
Everything here is just bizarre as I have no other way to describe this but awesome, just awesome! I was lucky enough to also grow up with arcade games that got me into the realm of fighting games as well. The Street fighter series as games and as a franchise of the story itself just gives me goosebumps of how cool, creative and chill back nature makes it very appealing to me.
I loved the Chun-li scene, and Ryu it's just awesome to see in the big screen of this video, especially if its based from the intro of SF III 3rd Strike but as FAN-MADE? I'm probably ranting at this point, but thank you for creating this piece of art, nostalgia. That hard work you put into clearly shows the passion right there, great job!
Even the chief recognizes sf as a beautiful creation
I literally cannot love this more. Makes me miss Dreamcast and 3rd Strike all over. I think it's my favorite fighter ever, or at least strongly competes with DOA2 and SC3 for the position. This had to have taken forever, and I greatly appreciate the time and effort to deliver this masterpiece.
Just jump for a friendly match on Steam :)
This is probably my favourite fan animation I’ve seen it looks so official with the detail of the characters
Yeah,looks so 90s
This is actually unbelievable - There's so much soul and love in this. This is the kind of thing that makes you nostalgic for an era you never knew.
You’ve never played 3rd Strike????
@@Jetanium she probably means the arcade era
@@marsship921 oh
I've played 3rd strike, but it was in the 30th anniversary collection. Wished I was born in the 90s to experience it in the arcades.
@@vergil8038 factsss bro
Gotta say. The shot with Sean is colored beautifully. Probably my favorite part of this short aside from Elena being cute as heck, and Ken parrying Chun-Li's kick.
Absolutely sick!!! 🔥 Incredible fan service and off-the-charts animation. 10/10
As soon as I heard it was 3rd strike's anniversary today, this animation immediately came to mind.
From moment 37 to the mystery behind Q, its safe to say this has to be my favorite game in the Street Fighter series for just how much fun you can get out of this one title alone and how much this game alone has done for the FGC as a whole.
Happy 25th to 3rd strike, as we all fight for the future, trapped in the world of Street Fighter 3!
Now if you need me, I'll be on Fightcade.
This is some top tier level of fan tribute,
Just like 3rd strike.
there is no words to describe how amazing this is, keep it up!
There is a reason why people call this game melee of street fighter series
@Ahmad Adnan yeah melee is really fast, buggy and broken and has a more toxic community than 3s
Amazing Animation :)
Esto es ARTE puro, maldita sea el final con el parry de Ken vs Chun Li.
Se me erizo la piel por completo.
Esto es bellísimo ❤️
why are animators so fcking underrated, i can just smell the blood and sweat that went into this, you did an incredible job on this bro cant wait to see whats next
The dedication of this animation is… very much alot, I’m surprised to how close this emulates the game’s art style, the animation is both great and smooth and visually… it’s extremely detailed and looks like it’s from the 1997s as well…. Basically:
Impressive! You just kick started your career with a bright future
You did this game service with this animation holy hell. There's no words I can describe to give you enough kudos for this. Musta took months to animate.
And coincidentally, I am learning sf3 on the single player fightcade emulator. And yes,
I'm gonna main the hell outta Sean once I learn enough Ryu.
Absolutely top tier animation. You really did the game justice. Everyone's got so much style and flair here! I love how much impact their is in Urien and Dudley's animations especially.
This animation captured every character perfectly without being corny or anything like that which is so hard to do. Hire this person! This is AMAZING ❤
Saw your post on twitter
This is actually mind-blowing for such a short display. You absolutely NAILED IT with showing off the tone of the game and the uniqueness of the roster's characters between each shot. It's stuff like this that makes me love animation as a whole and why I strive to want to make something like this one day. SF3 and Capcom vs. SNK 2 was always where I thought the series peaked aesthetically at and I'm glad you were able to show off that capcom coolness here.
Good luck with any future projects, and have fun animating!
Not just the pinnacle of Street Fighter, the pinnacle of fighting games.
0:10 when you smelt it but you didnt dealt it.
@0:09 This frame looks funny actually... Ken fist-bumping with an outstretched arm while Ryu has his fist at his hip level makes it look like he's way shorter than Ryu
As someone who’s never played 3rd strike (a fact I now hope to change) you managed to perfectly communicate every character’s personality through this animation. Stellar job.
What an amazing tribute and animation. You sir a legend for this!
Absolutely insanely good work. The thing that appealed to me the most about Street Fighter III is the incredible amount of style and flair it brought in just about everything; music, animation, aesthetics just completely on point. You basically captured everything that made me interested in this game in the first place and condensed it into less than 50 seconds. Spectacular work all around.
That's what I like most about the fighting games I enjoy
Glad you made Alex Parry Elena's kick. I play Alex and my buddy plays Elena so it hits UBER hard
The memories come flooding in. The arcade, the people I've met, those close matches I've won and lost, the sounds of buttons getting pressed, the friends I've made. It all comes back.
I miss the old arcade days. Playing with people in the arcade was so fun. People would give each other tips and pointers or just become pals and hangout. Playing online is just so cold and impersonal.
Yes the good memories!
It's borderline criminal that we never got a SF3 OVA.
So much nostalgia the memories of playing this with my cousin oh lord its just so incredible how we went from this to street fighter 6 its insane man thanks for the animation AND UPLOAD MORE
Is the music in this a custom made mix or did you pull it from somewhere? I love the breakdown at 0:20 and can't find it anywhere else
Incase you havent figured ut out. Its from the arranged OST. But this video has parts of it cut down to fit
Damn, this really hits me in the feels- I remember spending weekends a plenty just trying to learn all I could about the system mechanics in SF3, being the first traditional fighting game I had on a console. I didn't stick much with it since I kinda grew up in a "video games cause violence" family and I only had a demo on PS3 with only arcade and trials modes and like 3 playable characters lmao but it was thanks to that I would later be introduced to other games in the genre, 2 of my favorites being Guilty Gear & BlazBlue!
It's truly heartwarming how in an age where practically anyone can learn to code, we get community-projects like Fightcade which can immortalize these legacy titles and not only making it easier to find and connect with people thanks to rollback, but also allowing features like proper training modes and combo challenges to be added and help newcomers get into the scene as well. Definitely got to look into it at some point!
Some of street fighter 3's characters don't get alot of notice or love like necro , Q, and Hugo and this video does them justice. We need to see more of them in the next game !
The fact this has so little views is absolutely criminal. Stellar work.
If this was the legit opening of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike!
This was beautiful, and just makes me love Third Strike and Street Fighter more than I already do, and third strike was already my favorite fighting game
yo i love coming back to this one
S/O Kinu Nishimura
Your animation is stellar, I'll actually play 3rd Strike now lol
If you're planning on playing third strike Street fighter here's all the platforms it's available for

3. PlayStation 2
4. Xbox 360 digital
5. PlayStation 3 digital
6. PlayStation 4
7. Xbox One
8. Nintendo switch
,9. PC
This game was so animated for its time. Every character had a distinct personality to show you who they were, Q not withstanding (and even then he has some interesting quirks). This animation just takes that thought and goes all out with it. I loved every second I was trying to get good at competitive with Makoto, and seeing this kinda makes me wanna boot up Fightcade again for old times sake
Street Fighter II & Street Fighter IV got animated movies and not Street Fighter III we need that.
The Alpha games got an anime too. We need one for SF3.
I don't think thats gonna happen, since 3rd strike came out in 1999. 23 years ago
Right we never gotten a Street Fighter III movie we still should get one.
I thonk we need a animated trilogy of street fighter that covers sf5,sf3 and the recent sf6
@@vergil8038its notbtoblate to do one of sf3 when u got movies like sonic the hedge hog coming out, cspcom could still do it.

I went looking for this after seeing it in Matt McMuscles' SF3 episode of What Happened because I thought it was official and was wondering why I hadn't seen it before, but holy shit you've made an absolute little masterpiece right here 😍😍😍
I hope one day we get a street fighter games with this or arc system works art style in the future. This was such an amazing job recreating the intro and the animation is top notch!

Still the best
1999
THEY SHOULD'VE PUT THIS IN EVO YESTERDAY
I see such dedication in this animation. As a fan of this game that for me still the best Street Fighter, i absolutely love this!
My favorite thing about this is the speed lines. You used them so well in the Chun Vs Ken part at 0:29 and during Akuma's taunt.
I am getting goosebumps rewatching this thing over and over. The bounce and snap of the limps in some shots and the absolutely amazing interpretation of the art style.
This is the best fighting game fan content I've ever seen. I'm not joking when i say as a rewatch it i mimic the parries at the end over and over......please keep up the amazing work.
third strike was the first fighting game ive played and took the time to lear everything i could, 13 years later i can safely say i still have much to learn, but just as much to be thankful for this games existence. thank you for this, it made my day
Elena’s enthusiasm Sean’s basketball game and Oro proving he’s the strongest sf character
Honestly has to be one of the best tribute animations I've seen for the SF III! The way everything flows and pops out at you would make for one hell of a god tier OP if Third Strike got an anime.
This year's sf 3rd strike evo was crazy lit.
This is so beautiful 😍
Well done. If Street Fighter 3 Third Strike gets remastered, it needs to have this intro playing.
I really wished capcom made a 3rd strike movie. This looks incredible!

Holy fucking shit someone give this person a job at studio trigger
The amount of weight in all the animations and the musical timing is so good.
Why am I having FLCL vibes from this.
This is a masterpiece that should be known world-wide.
This is just amazing - can't stop watching.
This has so much passion and reflects the overall energy and aesthetic of SF3 perfectly, amazing animation!
BRO, THE LAST FRAME IS A EVO 2004 REFERENCE??!!
0:15 OUTTA MY WAY!
This is damn cool, I recently started playing sf3 again. Back in 2005 ish, my friend entered a tournament and one first place by winning with Dudley’s rose taunt as the last hit.
dudley's glowing eye for the cross counter after rose mixup, classic dudley gameplay.
It's actually so good though im fucking losing it
As if I didn't love street fighter 3rd strike already. I never played it before, and only got into it a year ago thanks to a friend. I'm in love with this game, and this animation is absolutely incredible
Can’t get over how dope twins look in this
This deserves every bit of love and praise it gets, as does Third Strike. May everyone continue to play and enjoy such a wonderful game!
You animated this? It's impressive
Funny, this actually made me start playing 3S.
I didn’t go very far, even with many FGs of knowledge, but it was fun as heck!
Ready to start playing more in 2022!
every frame in this video can be a new wallpaper for my pc
This is mind-blowingly good, I can't imagine how long it took to make this

If Street Fighter was made today, this would 100% be the opening
nah just forgettable CGI nowadays, or just a cheap FMV video of gameplay, or no opening at all lol
Amazing animation !! Great vid loved it !!
This hits right in the feels. Amazing.
I watch this shit everyday
This is incredible. You've got the style down so well, great dynamic poses, backgrounds, effects everything. I really hope this gains the traction it deserves; you clearly put a lot of effort into it.
This needs an Anime even till this day
I come back to this every once in a while, the way you managed to condense the essence of the entire cast and even mention Moment 37 in barely 40 seconds is an absolute work of art
