It feels personal because although he became a celebrity he still fit in a normal guy category relatively and not a "star". Someone who could be your next door neighbour.
I never watched any of his movies and not much of a fan. Still I have to agree that police carelessness blotched this case at some level. And it refuses to let anyone else cross check their investigation.
Normal people face the same situation so much that it's collective reaction at the incompetence and arrogance of police too. Then politicians jump in. Then someone like Rajdeep surdesai says that Sushant was not "important" enough to make so much noise. It hurts.
