I mean don't people like a character with sass 🤷
We know Kinger has been there the longest, but it seems like Jax has been there longer than the others. And he seems like the most grounded character who tries to keep the others sane, even if it’s in a seemingly passive aggressive way.
He knows Zooble will be fine while Gangle seems worried and he doesn’t hesitate to go down to the nest when the others seem confused about it’s safety. Like he’s done that quest before when the others haven’t (or in Kingers case, he just doesn’t remember).
He doesn’t worry the others about Kafma or seem worried about it himself. When Kafma finally shows up he minimizes the situation to keep Gangle calm.
When Zooble starts to get upset about Pomni not being there, he shushes her before she can get too angry.
He has keys to everyone’s room. He’s the one who seems to know the most about the world (outside of Kinger, who is more technical) and seems the least bothered in general. In fact he seems to be the only one who talks to Caine directly. He even steps on Gangles comedy mask which seems like him just being a jerk, but could also be him actively keeping her grounded to an extent.
I’m sure the crew at Glitch knew he’d be a fan favorite, but even him having merch at launch makes me feel like he’s going to play a much larger role in future episodes.
Wow, that’s a good theory. He may not be the first one but he seems to know a lot of things.

Please note Jax seems to be trying to make everyone hate HIM more than their situation. I think the biggest clue of that was just him claiming he's hungry, and playing along with the chaos despite clearly hating it. He lies, but his lies always distract people from things, the jerkiest thing he did was shove Gangle, but he legit questions himself for being polite before hand before over correcting. Like after everything calmed down, he almost defaulted to being polite, but remembered his personal goal. Heck, Gangle actually called him out as not doing anything, and not only did he not deny her, he claimed something that everyone already knows, himself included, is not true.
When Pomni was losing her mind realizing that their situation is 100% not a dream, he taps her face to bring her to reality instead of letting her go nuts.
You could argue him abandoning Pomni and Rag was him being a jerk, but to be frank running away was the best idea from the start, and its not his fault both Pomni and Rag stood there in shock and did nothing, especially when he ran away right in front of them, instead of doing something truly jerkish and backing away behind them and THEN running.

I mean he could’ve just closed and relocked the door but it’s important to get your adrenaline flowing to make sure it isn’t a dream especially for Pomni’s sake.
@@suddenlypineapples6936 Maybe his method of making people hate him had the opposite effect on Kauthmo, since everyone goes on about how they didn't laugh at his jokes, Jax method of making people hate him probably seriously irked Kauthmo in particular, and likely never apologized for not laughing, and even mocked his jokes.
But he couldn't change character for Kauthmo or others would realize what he's doing for them, and it wouldn't be as effective.

My original point was the scene where Jax opened the door and left it open in Kauthmo’s reveal just felt kinda off because he could’ve just closed the door and relocked it. This is why I left a intentionally sarcastic comment jabbing at Jax as if he did it on purpose.

Tbh Digital Circus is kinda like Helluva Boss. Jax is like Blitzø's attitude to Moxxie, Kinger is like Moxxie's cowardly side, Ragatha is like Millie's good side, Caine is kinda like Chaz and Striker combined but more positively goofy than spooky and creepy. Kinda creepy tho tbh.
Also, Zooble is like Loona. I don't know what to say about Caine and Gangle.
