The theme of this class was marrying acting with dancing, and specifically working on the skill of performing for a camera with choreographed camera movement.
🎥This is a very specialized skill that is not only difficult to execute, but difficult to train because it requires being on a set for a project where these skills are required of you. It is rare for dancers to be hired for jobs where they get to perform solo and interact with a camera, so this class was a way of creating the opportunity for them.

First couple: First love, sweet and naive, they met in high school
Second couple: Summer love vibes, girl sagitattarius and he's an acuarius
Third couple: two guys from different worlds are in love and they are invincible together
Fourth couple: They are going to build a family together
Fifth couple: They used to be best friends and now they are in a relationship, but will always be best friends by all means
Sixth couple: They met by accident, and for that they are gratefull
Seventh couple: They started as friends with benefits, and then they couldn't hide their feelings anymore.. Also at the end of the choreo THEY FUCK!!

What I loved about this choreography and acting was that it displays different types of love, or how people can love romantically in various ways shown through the expressions on the dancers faces. They probably didn’t realize they were doing it because they were simply showing affection in the way they knew/felt it. Sometimes that difference can cause divides in relationships, but honestly seeing it here just helps remind me that it’s actually a beautiful thing. Learning how your significant other shows love creates a deeper understanding in the relationship. ❤️

For me it feels a bit weird being watched in a dance class. Usually everyone is focused on themselves so you don't really feel watched but when there are outsiders sitting on the side watching it feels super uncomfortable and completely changes the mood of the class..
At the piano masterclasses I attended over the years there would always be a lower priced fee for people who wanted to watch but not participate directly. Observation is a good way to learn...

I can't get over the couples' chemistry, their uniqueness in portraying emotions, the rawness of it, it's almost believable they are in a relationship in real life. Each couple defined love differently, there is "happy", "passionate" and so much tension between the last one. Galen, you are amazing!

nope, if you saw her posts on Instagram, she explained that these were people who had just met. the best part about this dance course was when she mentioned that everyone could be paired with those of the same sex, everyone who were already paired up decided to split up and work with other people. It led them to be coupled with another person of the same sex... amazing right?

I don’t ever comment but this might be my favorite piece of work you’ve ever done. Galen you’re so amazing and your passion bleeds through every video and frame. This gave me all the feels, I definitely identified with the girl in the back at 3:12 lol But also the moments in 5:23, 7:00 and 9:46 were so good. Each couple adapted the movement and made it unique to them and I loved every minute ❤️ Also the couple at 7:51, melted my heart!!!!! I can’t wait to experience one of your classes one day.
