The quote “whoever brought me here will have to take me home” is a direct quote from 13th century Persian poet Rumi.
This isn’t the first time a member of the Strokes references Rumi’s poetry as Julian Casablancas (lead singer) opens his song Human Sadness with also a paraphrased quote “beyond ideals of right and wrong there is a field. I will be meeting you there”
Rumi’s poetry and teachings seems to be an influence in these guys’ phenomenal lyrical output and I’m excited to see if I can find more

it was my favorite. i still listen it when im depressed when i left by girl. it is still my best and will be my lovely album forever. but on the other hand it is accident bcs shitty people blame the band bcs of that album. i called it accident bcs it become sooo underrated. it makes me feel cringe when i saw shitty comments about that album. who cares. we got new album by Albert.
