I remember reading about a woman whose husband kept forgetting their wedding anniversary. One year she bought herself a romantic card and some diamond earrings. On the morning of their anniversary, she opened the card and thanked him because it was so lovely. Then she opened the little box, exclaimed enthusiastically about his generosity, and put the earrings on. IIRC, she called her friends and relatives to gush about her wonderful, thoughtful husband's gift. He never forgot their anniversary again.

    Fun random fact:
If you commit a crime like fraud, and the prosecuting attorney chooses not to prosecute, that doesn't mean you're safe from prosecution. In the US there is a thing called statute of limitations. Which means if you commit a crime the prosecuting attorney can still bring charges up to 5+ years after the crime. Even if they say they won't be pursuing charges at that time.

There is almost always more than one copy of an official will. The law office of the lawyer that helped draft it will always have a copy, too. Addtionally, the court system can STILL demand he pays, AND they can arrange to have "a reasonable amount" taken from his wages to make those payments. It's called "garnishing" and it's a real, genuine, legally allowable--and enforceable--thing.

That usually depends on the relationship status of the person. It's not at all unusual for a person to leave everything to their spouse.....with a provision for things to be divided between the children should the spouse die first.

I remember a woman was on a podcast my wife listens to. She has a brother…. Well their grandparents passed away and decided to put everything in a will. Money, their valuables, and a property in Montana. The brother never came to see his grandparents, never even bothered to see them in the hospital. When everyone discussed the will.
Brother: I want nothing, i don’t care about getting $10 for milk and eggs and a soda.
    Everyone: are you sure?
Brother: yes! I can’t wait until they are gone
Well when they passed away, the brother was rude at both funerals. His fiancé never saw that side of him.
Well he eventually found out his parents and sister got an inheritance of 6 figures. The sister got the property in Montana. A lot of land. There is a home on the property.
His father got a baseball card collection and Pokémon card collection. The mom got all sorts of valuable kitchenware. A huge Barbie doll collection and something else.
Brother went apeshit . He had the nerve to tell his parents to put his grandparents on the phone. His reaction when he was told they passed away and he was at both funerals was priceless from what the sister said.
All of sudden he is apologizing and now begging to get some sort of inheritance. Here’s the kicker!
His fiancé left him. Oh and as an extra dagger, she was in the will. She got a 5 figure inheritance as well as really nice clothes. When the brother found that out, All of sudden he wanted to visit the grandparents in the hospital. Yet again being reminded they passed away and he was at the funeral.
Now he regrets his actions and wishes he cared about them. Even apologizing to his parents that he regrets never visiting his grandparents.
Sometimes people notice who cares and who don’t. You say you want nothing. You got nothing. Why be upset for getting what you want.

Tip for anyone being forced to sign something against your will: Alter your signature. Make it different enough that even if you are videotapped signing it, you can explain to the court that you "signed under duress" because that's not how you ACTUALLY sign documents. (Btw, most celebrities have an autograph that is distinctly separate from how they sign checks, etc, so no one can forge one and try to cash in on it, so there is legal precedence!)

I wish I had remembered that the state will not allow my ex to skip his child support. I’m not sure about my alimony though.

She needs to just realize her & her son are not important to him @ all until it comes to cleaning & cooking & she’s so naive too for believing him & thinking he’s w his friends & not cheating 🤬🤬 she needs to tell him to flake off & clean yourself & it’s so irritating when those men think they’re the king of the house 🤬🤬

Bring the kid home THEN go fishing with your friends. I'll be packing my stuff. This is your last chance to make things right. We go out on a date or you go through life alone from now on.
