Your video was randomly recommended and I’m so glad I watched you. Subbed in the hope you have many more NZ historical crime stories and to see more of your beautiful South Island. You’re a natural Sir!
I had heard of this story before but, that was a good re-telling although, you seem to have got his rather spectacular name wrong. It was Arthur Robert Ramage Howard. I'm certain he was searching graves for a freshly buried body with an appropriate looking hand. Perhaps when he found one that looked suitable he was more careful about covering up the evidence of tampering than he was when he was just looking. It would be worth doing a part two as, before his release from prison, his wife eloped with a married butcher, taking her children with her. He apparently tracked her to America and then to Australia and some mystery surrounds the cause and place of his death. 😊
Yeah, you could even catch the tram it use to go all around the square in town. You'll be surprised of how they've suppressed and lied and many cover ups of our history here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Oh my God, Pete. That was some weird story, mate. Keep them coming, lol.
thanks will do
What a good story that was. Fascinating 😊
I'm glad you found the story fascinating! There's always more to explore, so stay tuned for more!
Wasn't expecting this but well done✌️

When are we getting CSI New Zealand with Pete as the main character... we all want it
No we don’t
CSI New Zealand? Sounds like an excellent opportunity for Pete to trade in his lab coat for a hiking backpack!
oh
Great story hands down...

Skim Scam the Shim Sham Man. Still alive and well to this day. I figure I meet him a couple times. Wanders the world taking money from us suckers.
Ah, the Shim Sham Man! I hear he has a frequent flyer membership for all the places he’s scammed. Just avoid eye contact and keep your wallet close!
