Imagine if this was your highschool gym teacher, instead of someone who mocked the kids who weren't athletes and played favoritism. THIS is a true educator. Knowledgeable, compassionate and wants you to succeed.
This is so true. I almost never had a good gym teacher. In my class it always was all about being athletic and cool. And they were bodyshaming the other kids, of course.
Yea my highschool gym teacher mocked me for not being able to do a push up but whenever I got mad he ran away once when he was teaching health class I got really angry while having a conversation with him and I got up to put something away during the conversation and he tripped on a desk while backing away from me when he was 10 feet away from me already. (Obviously I never put my hands on or threatened anyone).
@Kyle Gosal Or it's how you discourage them from continuing. Why shame people when you can educate and encourage? Sounds like some people just want a reason to be mean.
@Kyle Gosal See that's the fucking problem. You discourage people, and then they quit and you say "well they were weak all along" like wtf is that? Who in the world is already strong when they start working out? Thats some toxic sour-grapes bullshit. @@andrewzavala9633 you’re obviously a man bro u realize they’re called girl push-ups bc they’re easier than normal ones, for weaker people, the fact they’re called girl push-ups is indirectly saying women aren’t as strong as men. the reason why it’s called a girl push-up on the fitness test is bc of how women were perceived as weaker since forever bc of misogyny that’s been embedded into our society.
@@yuliuka6449 Genetically women lack the same amount of muscle mass as men. Doesn’t mean women can’t be strong and workout all it means is men are more often then not naturally stronger then women. Either way who the fuck cares if it’s called a girl push-up by a lot of people, when a term becomes generally used by the majority of society it looses a great deal of discriminatory nature, many of nicknames for things are based of stereotypes. Also just for the record there are no official fitness instructional manual or video that uses the term “girl push-up” scientifically.

“This is a great therapy exercise that we DONT NEED TO SHAME” Exactly! I hate that. Also “Pushups should NOT hurt” I guess I’ve been doing something wrong then, that really blew my mind
Doing a let of reps in a set that doesn’t garner immense pain is healthier and more consistent to fine tune your muscles, while doing hard/high weight exercises with low reps in a set is good for building chunks of muscle but it can be dangerous as a lot of people don’t know when too much hurt could lead them to a hospital. It isn’t always wrong to try for the more risky method, but this video is for beginners and a novice should always start with the safer and more consistent method.
