I cannot imagine the time and patience it took to build that, the details, weathering is on a whole different level, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND STUNNING!!!
Just WOW !, I'm in Australia watching a guy over here build this ship in this scale & am over the moon on the journey he has ahead of himself. The way you aged the ship & included the crew is incredible, you must be so proud, well done.
Fantastic job on this ship. Weathering is done very well. Ship looks very rough the way it should be. Also you did a great job with the crew figures. The perfect amount to convey the massive number of crew. Bravo! You have created an absolute masterpiece. Any museum would be proud to display it. Much respect to your work.
The most beautiful, and biggest, and proudest battleship ever. What a grandiose and imposing model my greatest respect for this great achievement it is unbelievable. Getting the figures alone is very difficult. Thank you for this great video I have the kit to build too and am looking forward to it. Is there a wooden deck for this model and metal tube?
Basically I used IJN gray .but also combine different gray colors to create more hue. After wash process you can add some Pastel and carbon powder to increasing metallic effect ~ Most of Yamato builder didn’t made the model like this,I just roughly did it ~ Thanks for comment and enjoy the video ~😅
i saw a black and white photo of the Yamato 40 years ago. it's nice to see a more impressive articulation of the real-thing, i.e. close-up, than a B & W photo of poor quality...i think the Japanese who sailed the Yamato, should've told their senior commander off, and sailed it to a neutral country, and sat out the war. then, at least there'd be a chance today, that the ship and crew survived...problem is, America would definitely send a submarine to sink it, while anchored...
@@davidmax70 thank you- point proven in a sense..but white uniforms were still mostly parade uniforms (aircraft carrier's mechanic and deck crews had white uniforms)...I doubt they wore white uniforms on yamato's last journey but the green ones because that armament configuration of yamato is from 1945 just fitted prior to it's last battle...even in the movie 'yamato' all the sailors wore green uniforms and I think japanese producers had good historic evidence and reference for that...
@@davidmax70 Thank your for your answer...all in all the question about uniform and it's colour doesn't change my mind when I say this is an EXCELLENT work and GREAT model in every respect and I truly mean it...everything else is of less importance...
please allow me some constructive critics at your build: you choosed the time of Yamato`s last mission toward Okinawa. Therefore there are some mistakes within your model: - the crane boom was removed at the last mission for a better field of fire of the aft main guns. The crane itself stayed with the ship though. - At no time there were Aichi Jakes stationed with Yamato, just Mitsubishi F1M Pete. Two of the Pete´s stayed with the ship at the begining of the last mission and were catapulted for anti submarine spotting after entering the open sea. These aircraft flew home after it - The ship´s names at the stern of IJN ships were removed after the beginning of WWII - IJN sailors changed their white service dresses to olive service dresses late in the war. - The forward deck of Yamato was painted in Zinc-Cromate anti corrosion color and should be a litte bit lighter then the main Kure arsenal color - the few pictures of the last battle, taken from US air observers show the wooden decks darkened. It is said the decks were toned down with black soot from the ships funnel exhausts for camouflage reason. Neverthelless a nice build you made and the crew adds life to it
Good options and suggestions ~ If I had chance boarding Yamato at 1945 I’m sure I could make it 100% correct ~ After all , I prefer being an modeler than Historian, even it’s wrong with deck hue of 1/10 Yamato model in Japan museum ~ True happiness is always model building itself 😊

Beautiful, pure artwork. 👍
Spectacular achievement. You must be so proud with the result of so so many hours of work. BRAVO
Awesome job on a beautiful ship. I love the way they stored planes in the hangar and the way the got brought up to the catapults.
Superb job! Incredibly realistic!

Awesome job! The crew really makes the massive ship come alive!
Something this good, should be on display at a museum 😀 1/350 i built was very large for a kit, this 1/200 must be incredible

My Favorite Battleship Yamato, but it so sad, she's a perfect ship ever built in Japan but in a Wrong War of Her Era🙂

EXCELLENT WORK...excellent...I just don't know why putting sailor figures in parade white uniforms...everyday work and battle uniforms were green...
