If they ever do a video game set in the future, I bet we will see chitose from hackers memory as a new tamer for this deck, since he had these mons in game.
Some great cards but it does feel like the sum of its parts is greater than the whole. The Patamon is something I really like. Mostly because I’m a weird person who saw the Mumukusmon cards in bt17 and went “no, I’ll try and make it work”. The MagnaAngemon is fire. Yeah, the Vikemon evo is something many still dislike to this day. Maybe that’s why Slashangemon also appears in this set:
Agreed! I don't foresee a lot of players going the Shakkoumon line route, mainly because it's original colors were blue and yellow but now you're swapping things up to black and yellow. While the Patamon element is still consistent, Armadillomon jumping back and forth feels bad :/ Definitely loved MagnaAngemon and Vikemon ACE when I was going over the cards.
@@DIGI-PANDA Yeah. Maybe if Armadillomon was black from the jump and/or Patamon had a good blue base, it would be better. The Dark Master players are hyped for Vikemon.
Tk, has the best scene from Digimon Adventures 02, but since the development of the series was chaotic and changed rights. tk went from incredible to dead weight
I actually think Shakkoumon is the best lv5 of the lot, bjt it suffers from the old Shakkoumon needing blue, not black. And it just... lacks a good wincon. Great control, Ive done digivolutions with the option to recover 3 before.
@@DIGI-PANDA I do need to revisit the deck post EX5 and see if the yellow ACE cards added in that set provide adequate top end as a wincon. Vikemon ACE is alright but it dosent have the offence to close things out.
@@raikaria3090 Definitely! I think Valkyrimon has the close out, but not the draw power/resource management. And Vikemon can get you the draw power/resource assuming you're controlling the board. But in terms of offensively closing out games, neither holds anything close to Imperialdramon.
I will find use for all of the new Armadillomon cards, maybe not good use but I digress. I plan on using the new Shakkoumon in my Chessmon meme deck. Vikemon is the worst evo for Shakkoumon. If they didn't want to give it a unique Mega, ClavisAngemon works way better (even if it leans more towards Pata's line than amradilo's). It's always annoyed me and I was hoping the TCG could fix Shakkoumon's mega, but I guess that was too much to ask. Hell, BigShakkoumon would have been better.
I would have loved to see some better armors in this deck for the other protagonists. I want Pegasusmon and Nefertimon getting Rapidmon and Magnamon levels of support!
I personally i dont mind the Shakkoumon being more passive. But i feel that pieces work better outside of Shakkoumon. (Patamon and Vikemon.) I dont know what happens with Bandai and 02 Kari but Kari gets the short end of stick. BT08 has Kari + Silphymon but not a single card of Gatomon. The closest thing is Rush Blackgatomon (who even has Gatomon on the cover) and Ophanimon Falldown Mode. (Who she would use on Tri as her dark evolution) BT09 has both Pegasusmon and Nerfetimon despise being Antibody and Tri theme support. with a bit of Ghost Game. My guess is that Bandai wouldnt want to have BT15 Angewomon Ace, Bt16 Angewomon Ace for Silphymon and Angel/Security Trash and EX6 Angewomon for Mastemon/Angel deck.
The passive isn't terrible perse, but if you're trying to keep it within the canon digivolution lines, you kind of can't at this point. That's the only unfortunate thing. BT8 is still kind of a weird set to me. Good but weird.
