I love how Mike will say something like "I don't know what I've done to my back" then drags a tank of argon across the property or bodily lifts a random hunk of steel without any forethought. Such a manly man, the sort so many of us can relate to haha.
"the children forced me to interact with this animal" suuuure mike sure
Mike, you're the best Disney princess yet.
Would watch a disney movie about a princess who just wants to build giant weapons.
@@Khobotov Disney Princess as written by Guillermo Del Toro
Whats the brown wissards name from the hobbit the one whit birds in his hair
@@phantomkoppers385 Radagast
Obviously, as he has no testicles
"WHATCHU DOING WHITCHA HAMMAR NOOOVAAAA!"
My man Michael acing this parenting thing
With the bird: he's slowly turning into Radagast
as his skin gets stained more and more by the muck from the vinegar bath, he's specifically turning into Radagast the Brown :P

Haha that’s exactly what I was thinking
yes.
@@Uzzgub And the 5th was Malal or Big-E, aka "THE CHAOS GOD OF UNBELIEVE"?
"Oh i wouldn't lick my elbow, I physically cant" had me laughing too much
All I can see now is Michael, 5 months into the project, going almost mad and murmuring to himself 'I must fulfill my slayer's oath'
Now I must re read all of the books. Except for Vampire Slayer, because that was a bad one.
Holy shit, he’s alive and has both of his legs still... well, mostly.
THATS GOIN IN THE BOOK!
@NI He stabbed his knee while filming the smashing part of the video in the past live stream
@NI you shoulda kept yourself unspoiled so the last part would be a fantastic surprise 😂. Terrible, but fantastic.
Wait what happened?
@@thomaschristopherwhite9043 Check his last stream. Its available on his channel. He posted a comment after the hospital visit with some epic pics.
54:05 When you've been watching Mike's videos for so long you still remember when Nova was a toddler and Christopher was a baby... I don't know whether to shed a tear for "They grow up so fast!" or "Fuck... I'm getting old..."...
Both 😂
This dude would be the person to create all the legendary “ancient” magical gear found in dungeons and stuff in fantasy anime 😁
Glad you’re back!
And with him being an irsih Iron Wizard, chance that the gear works as intended is pretty high
Pretty sure this is the Smith from demon souls!
He is that Wizard
“What do you Americans call it?”
Uhhh, a squeegee.
Yupp
Nooooooo Dem american chaps they be callin a squeegee, a squilgee. U know its propper good smart name.
Durn tootn
Squege
The real question is what did he think we called it? 🤣
Homie strapped a whole-ass fan to his back for cooling. Respect.
Birds living in his beard, that's some Lord of the Rings level shit right there.
must leave comment so RUclips algorithm thinks this video is worth sharing
@NI must engage with your comment to continue the process
I don't have anything clever to add...
...so how are you all doing?
great thanks for asking. um, this weather lately sure is weather?
Algorithm will kick it up again in 8 years time when a bad video averages 11 billion views and they will be like
“Dafuq?!?”
And I will be happy

Every time I go for 6 months forgetting that you exist then to remembering how truly amazing of a man you are.
You are everybody's favorite blacksmith/ metal worker/Disney princess / druid
lol "Is that my blood, or is it rust?" lol
That’s wasn’t the funny bit. It’s when he said “there’s so much of both I can’t tell” where I lost it
Yup, when they say you put "Blood, Sweat, and tears into your work" they aren't kidding.
I mean, I work in a kitchen and still have provided all three at work.
With the amount of metal this man has worked with, I'm surprised he doesn't bleed rust.
That moment with the bird was so adorable
Thank you for not dying
He is, but just slowly.. agonizingly, creeping towards the end.
You're now officially a Disney Princess.
Mike you madman, you wasn't kidding when you said that the video would be close to 6 hours long
7 months between major builds? I'm glad your ok, I was worried for your health.
Yet again old Mike has outed himself as a Druid
This man has three angle grinders. And that's just the small ones.
typical welder ;-)
A grudge has been fulfilled this day.
One down, several trillion to go.
That's a grudgin' ^^

I am amazed Zoran is here and yet it makes perfect sense
@@Uzzgub Underrated comment mate! 😁
The bird story is pure "awwww"
It took longer than I thought
_Cuts to mike getting loaded into an ambulance_
Never expected a crossover between michaelcthulhu and NewRetroWave but I'm glad it happened.
3:10 I, an american, call it a squeegee as well, not sure if there's another name or not.
New Zealander here... it's a squeezee here too!
The premium paid to watch a man document, blood, sweat and tears for his art, is not nearly what it should be!!!
If any weapon he made had to get him sent to the hospital, it had to be Gotrek's Axe.
Nay, it be the curse of Samson, and the cutting of his hair that did it.
As someone who works is in the fabrication trade and who loves to work with steel in his spare time , I admire and respect your work
I love the craftsmanship also the steampunk look of the respirator and ear muffs, great work
Thanks for your content, your metal working in welding videos have had such an effect on my life that I've actually gone down the avenue becoming a professional welder and fabricator I currently am a professional welder at a place that manufactures nuclear submarines
2021 just got a little bit better
You sir, are lots of fun! Rarely can I watch an entire video of this length. Thank you and I look forward to finding more of your creations!
spooky , giant exacto knife popped up in my recommended yesterday .. so i had to re-watch it & now new video , yay
"I wouldnt lick my elbow... i physically cant" has such doctor who vibes to it
It's scary how much work you put into your work. I just want you to know that it is highly appreciated. Great work!
Also, at the risk of being annoying, I just want to ask you to stay safe and take care of your back.
I loved every second of this, except the bit with the spider.
Cant wait for the other parts, gonna turn out amazing!
I remember that I was in the live for the photoshoot for this! It's wonderful seeing all the hard work behind it!
Oh, how I miss seeing this man on TV...
"what are you doing with your hammer Nova? Good! that's what it's for!" LMFAO.
I wonder what this man could accomplish with state of the art tools and machinery like laser cutters and cnc machines and water jet cutters and so on, building these beautiful creations with almost primitive tools and mostly just elbow grease and his genius. Peace to you my brother. Loving the content.
“Is that my blood or is that rust. I mean their’s a lot of both on everything in here” Mike keep doing what you do just so long as you don’t hurt yourself I’d rather not have a vid then you becoming incapacitated
Mike I feel bad commenting because I'll be comment number 667, but, I just wanted to tell you I remember YEARS ago, like 2014, when you would make comments about how hard it is to film weld and to see what its doing on camera, and I just wanted to commend you for how far you have improved in your filming. I'm at 27:55 and watching the material flow is just fascinating. I am glad you're safe, you're one of my favorite and longest viewed artists, and I look forward to the next parts of this series!
When you made the flattening gig and blew up that block of wood, I thought you were starting a new channel, the "Manual Press Channel".
I’m so happy you’re ok. And I’m so happy you’re still building crazy shit.
Loved the Gotrek & Felix series! Awesome to see the axe in real life. Appreciate your hard work!
Hey every time you upload I say hey I’m glad that person is still alive
Birds, back pain, boxes. Everything I could ask for in a youtube channel. Seriously upset I just found out about this guy!
As i watched Mike drag his 200lbs propane bottle, almost wearing none but his kilt, an image came to my mind....
Mike is real life Godo the Blacksmith from Berserk.....
Change my mind.
Well, the most important thing would be that he is not a blacksmith, he's a welder, there is a very big difference between the two.
@@aidankenealy2231 aaaawww come on......yes he builds a lot by welding, but then he carves, he engrave, he age metals ,he work wood and so on......he makes big sharp and humanly unweilding weapons.....would not a blacksmith uses all those skills together to create awesomeness??
Or we could settle for monsterswords-smith?
@@narusawa74 I know your comment is just for fun and you shouldn't take me too seriously berserk is my all time favourite manga and I love this channel, but I love being "that guy", he is still technically not a "Smith", yes he works with metal, yes he makes ridiculously heavy and impractical weapons, but they aren't actually "forged" by him, they are welded together and carved out of sheets of pre-forged steel. Even if I was to concede and we said that Michael was a blacksmith, in berserk godo doesn't regularly make weapons like the Dragonslayer, in fact that is the only ridiculously huge weapon he has made, most of the time he forges regular weapons that normal people can use and he even says he just keeps it around as a reminder to not make stupid swords again.
That's a Catfaced Spider! I have them where I live, and I throw grasshoppers and wasps in their webs all the time when I find them. :)
I had one live under my porch light all summer once. and she hatched her eggs in one of the buckets under the light. :P
3:10 We still call it a squeegee, most people spell it wrong though, myself included. Messed up about 23 times before I got right. Didn't know it had a 'u'.
I thought skweegee was a brand of squeegee
Cute birdy and Nice Orb Weaver. Hes harmless, he's keeping the baddies away.
Americans call it a squeegee as well, although I tend to call it A-Mirror-ican wiper.
Where has this channel been hiding???? This dude is a full blood legend.
It has been 3000 years..
Knowing Michael is a skilled welder make me feel better about my own welds, cause his tacs and quicky welds only look about 50% better
Thank you for existing, no one is taking 6 months anymore to do anything and there is no cheerful creative content anywhere since rona, i feel sorry for your back but having lost my eyesight working i know there is no way that gonna stop you, i'm happy to see you having fun on the Patreon content! ΔΔΔΩΩΩ Al Gore Rhythm
ah the eternal question of a fabricator. "Is that my blood or is it just rust"
I can second that!!🤦
Every zoom in I bit my fingers thinking “oh crap, here’s where the injury happens”, especially when he constructed that bending jig. I’m very glad he only tacked the bars so it didn’t completely explode on him.
I hate you youtube algorithm!
*Hopes for other parts soon*
I’ve been checking my subscribed list every other day for so long, it’s finally here!
15 minutes until bed time on a tougher than normal day... Oh man! A new Cthulhu video! Must. Watch. All. Of. It.
YOOOOOOOOO! HE BACK, EXCITE.
what a dream come true of a life man good for you things like this are so wholesome and uplifting, living off the land with your family in a nice remote area doing fun manly projects. You rock.
Mike is like the Cinderella of metalsmithing. All these woodland creatures just flocking to you lol
sees part 1 of 4 :(
sees length of video :) and i get why its in parts
Nice! I was missing you already and thinking about rewatching all your content.
comment for the almighty algorithm. Great work, as always. Bring home those rations for the family (kids, pets, and assorted kidpets included)
Just seeing this now. This is some of the most amazing metalwork I've seen!!
"What do Americans call the window wiper thing"
Me: squeegee...
Wait it has other names!??
wait... DOES it have other names?
Oh boy, I was sipping my morning coffee watching this, and almost spat it out laughing at the elbow part around 21 minutes.
"Eew... hee hee!"
I love this channel.
You are literally the most powerful man ive ever seen in my life
i've been waiting for this. for who knows how fucking long im so fucking excited
We have the Tufted Titmouse here in N.Florida. Some years ago in my backyard I was working on an art/drawing assignment and one lone Titmouse decided my hair would make great nesting material. He perched up on my head and began to tug and pull with VIGOR. It was all I could do not to laugh out loud as I didn't want to scare him off. Well he did not get any hair but soon found a ball of white cat fur on the ground and speed off with that.
Great hat. Glad you installed the red blinkey safety device on it....
Man, I love watching Santa work
Good to have you back Mike, I've missed your vids.
acid works better when it's heated and vinegar is acetic acid, so it's most likely the temperature
That big a spider and you haven't burnt down your house? You're a stronger man than I.
Touch ,touch , touch - "still way to hot to touch"
Mike's rules , rule # ? -its always good to check on things more than once before making decisions .
13:45 - too wholesome Mike ! We all have diabetus now ~~
I admire the dedication it would take to do this. I couldn't do it. I'd have heated the whole thing and poured molten brass on it and hoped for the best after grinding. Either that would work, or I'd just give up.
Glad you're still doing well
26:50 This is why I love watching your videos.
Holy fuck, I literally just started reading the Felix & Gotrek books and this shows up in my feed. LET"S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO, MANLINGS!
Best day! After watching the live stream and hearing you say, "Hospital!" I think we were all a bit worried. Keep up the great work Mike, we all love it. Good luck with that knee. Maybe build yourself a back/leg brace. You need power armor!
SO glad to have you back bud!
Mike went into the warp and lost his mind to bring us this axe...
Aaarrr my back (lifts something heavy)
Fffssst my back (sits bent over brazing)
Oooww my back (clean drags gas bottle)
Eee my back (lifts something hot plus heavy)
Sets the tone really lol love it hopefully your back is better now
Michael's reaction to working with regular steel over HardOx is great. As someone whose dealt with grinding hardened steel, that shit s u c k s.
My favorite weapon from Warhammer!!! Looking good so far.
Box, bird, & cat. You are a funny sweet man. I'm glad you didn"t hack your knee off. See you next time and take care.
The most British thing ever at 3:18 - 4:50... not drinking a sip of a freshly made brew 😂
At 33:50 you can see a wild druid Gandalf that is making a fashion statement!
I was just thinking about this channel and wondering why I hadn't seen any new videos. Now I have my answer.
