I seriously enjoy this guys videos. He gets so excited about his work and his equipment. Just seeing him being so excited and hyped makes me wanna be excited and hyped.
Thank you so much for sharing all these! I'm an aspiring wedding photographer and just the thought of having to buy ALL THE GEAR is daunting because of how much they'd cost! I thought I'd have to buy all the faster and older versions of the lenses but seeing you, a super established and talented wedding photographer, say that you use the fujicrons (apart from the 56 f1.2) for all your weddings!? Man, I'm sure you saved a lot of photogs a LOT of money! I'm slowly building up my wedding kit - I bought the 56 today and cannot wait to buy the the 35 f2, 23 f2, and 16 f2.8 soon!!
I just got an X-S10, 23 f2 and 56 1.2. Have to say the 23 f2 seems soft wide open and I’m probably going to exchange in the hopes I just got a bad copy. Have you experienced this at all?
Thanks a bunch. And thanks for watching. I actually just purchased the 16 f/2.8. I like it a lot. It's great for video. Super sharp. It doesn't let in a lot of light so you have to be ready for that but other than that it's awesome.
John Branch IV Photography I ordered one few days ago but didn’t received it yet. Raising iso a little bit would not be a big deal with the xt3. I’m pleased to see you are happy with it. Thanks a lot.
What's up John just gotta let you know how much I appreciate your videos . Did my first wedding this past weekend. I have fun on all my shoots because I just love photography. This wedding was super fun but , I can't lie the pressure is HIGH OMG 😂 I watch all your videos and literally I witnessed everything you've said . The pre wedding stuff all went super smooth . When.the actual ceremony started it was so fast paced 😂 but , I maintained and survived the storm . I was solo with my wife helping video . To handle that as a solo shooter I know you would appreciate the fact I came through in the clutch . The reception was Lit 😂 My main focus next time would be having some help and I could get better specifically with the sparkler exit to witch they exited to a horse and carriage . I got good shots but , that's where I would say I struggled creating The GREAT SHOTS . Definitely appreciate you tho . You helped tremendously .
@@jbivphotography It's almost like cheating. It's really hard to put down once you start shooting with it. If you think shooting with the XT3 is addicting....the 50r takes things to a whole nother level...lol.
Yeah totally. What type of stuff do you end up still having to use your laptop for? I'd love to hopefully include some specific examples for people as well.
I actually haven't even tried any of the Fuji zoom lenses yet. I've been shooting primes only for a good 3-4 years now. I might have to pick it up and give it a try.
I actually have a video that takes about the majority of the workflow I use with my iPad. You can check it out here. ruclips.net/video/cKIdBWspmBA/видео.html
Interesting to see your gear! I'm also a Fuji Shooter and love this camera system! interested in seeing what made you upgrade to the XT3, as I'm considering making the jump for the improvements in autofocus alone. In regards to your lenses, I own both the 35F2 and 35 1.4, 56 F1.2 & 23 F 1.4. Keep producing fire content man!
I haven't had a chance to use the 23 f/1.4 but I really want to give it a try. I have a love hate relationship with the 23 f/2 because I've noticed on multiple occasions that it seems like it misses the focus just a tad. I've heard the 23 f/1.4 is much better. Also, that extra bit of light is probably awesome.
I don’t exclusively edit on my iPad. I’m currently using it as a bridge for my home CPU. I go over my workflow here in this video iPad Pro 2018 Pro Photographer Editing Workflow ruclips.net/video/cKIdBWspmBA/видео.html. I’m actually out of town as I’m responding to this and using this workflow currently. So I can edit photos while I’m away from my computer and when I get back home I can do the final stages of exporting. You can do a lot with an iPad only but if you’re looking to edit full out sessions or larger amounts of photos I wouldn’t suggest it.
I just love the sharpness of the primes. Also, when I upgrade some of my lenses I'll be able to use the 1.4 versions to let in more light. Even the f/2's let it a good bit more than the 2.8s
Nice video man. From a humble Venezuelan with a X-T10 and kit lens I hope your channel gets better and bigger, you do really nice content. You should come sometime, there are lots of stuff to shoot here.
That's what I've heard as well. I ended up going with the f/2 because I was ok with loosing that extra bokeh. The f/2 is so sharp and fast and I love using it for video since the focusing is so quite.
Oh yeah either the T2 or T3 is great and buying them second hand is just fine. Also with the X-T4 out I’m sure there’s a bunch of great quality used X-T cameras floating around.
Nice vid man!! Had my first Fuji wedding yesterday since switching from Nikon last year. The X-t3’s are amazing. Purchased an X-H1 as backup. Terrible AF compared. Interesting that you use the 23 F2 over the 1.4. Any reason?? Love the bag. Does it have a shoulder loop or do you have ti carry it? Also the Holdfast bag you wear all day how do you find that?? Im looking for extra storage during the day. Put that looks a bit cumbersome. Ill watch your vid on it now. Keep up the good work man.
Added you on switch. Yeah we need another video on your iPad workflow and your maybe soon purchase of the Gnarbox(apps powered by PhotoMechanic) that will help with your mobile editing. Also what are your thoughts on the XF16mm F2.8 that is much smaller than the 14mm, will you switch to have 3 super tiny power house lenses. Heck what do you think of the 8-16mm F2.8. That is a beautiful lens.
I’ve been eyeing the 16mm. I might pick it up. I love my 14mm but I HATE the way it focuses. In continuous focus it’s SOOO loud. And it hunts a lot it seems like.
curious what's your workflow using the iPad Pro, from memory card import through storing on device and editing in LR and exporting? Thanks in advance for your help
