The irony behind most of my old OMORI memes is the fact that they are not meant to be funny but annoying. Still, it's an obvious consequence of the lack of OMORI content to meme on. Boo
cause of these memes i feel like kel’s trauma isn’t taken seriously, they all play him up to be a funny guy with no trauma or is never sad without taking into consideration that he is the exact same as the others, trying to cope. kel tries to cope by making new friends and attempting to look happy. as you can see when you look at a grave, kel says “i tried to talk to hero, but he just yelled at me. my parents came into the room and comforted him instead” (simplified version) you can see the favoritism a bit. he is just such a sad character who isn’t taken that way. more people need to see him in that light. yes all the memes are dumb as shit too.
btw, you should try to at least credit the artists you use in your thumbnails because i look on your channel and i see art that is not from the game or show you are talking about. i don’t want you to get into trouble with them, and as an artist i would like this if someone’s using my art while they are getting money. My problem with Omori memes is how stuck in time they feel. 3 years later, we’re still posting the Kel Burgers meme, usually just with minor variations, like for different characters. 3 years later, and Omori memes still feel like they’re all the same TikTok videos with the plushies or memes that feel like they’re from 2016. There’s a lot more you can make memes out of in Omori I feel, like Mr Jawsum for example, but it just feels like people aren’t taking advantage of it or trying to put spins on old memes, just posting those memes unchanged or with minor edits. Undertale memes have evolved more in 3 years than anything in the Omori community, and that community is much smaller right now compared to the Omori community. I just have to wonder what’ll become of our memes in 2 years.
I MAY BE STUPID... But I agree with boss, like some of the memes (Especially Fede AG's ones) are really funny, because they are just so dumb, that it makes me laugh, but mostly they are just regular videos and pictures maybe with a little bit of fun in it, but not really much. I think so too, and I guess it is not so good for the game and community, because the game is about tragedy, trauma, it is serious after all, and all these guys are just making the stairs memes for eternity now and are thinking that is fun... I really wish omori community to become more serious and curious about the game, the game lore, what we did not explore inside the game, about the secrets and easter eggs, about the backstory, I want omori community to start digging into personalities of Kel, Sunny, Hero, Aubrey and Basil and even Mari deeper, figure out what the hell is wrong with Sunny's dreams and stuff. Please, guys, let's become the best community we all wish us to be. I know sometimes we all laugh on some dumb things about OMORI, but most of us really do wish the community to become much, much more calm, serious and just more similar to what the person who played the game imagines us to be. Thank you for your attention, let's make ourselves seem better to one another!

Idk going into this video, but a big reason for the dumb memes is that Mari's death is a little ridiculous to the point that it could've been a plot point of sunny feeling guilt of giving his sister the most benign, mundane, silly death that she didn't deserve. And the contrast to how serious and grim her hanging by the tree is. Likr people can die from falling down stairs, but people can also die from having a vending machine fall on them, it's a bit ridiculous amplified by her being fictional. If there is a thing I'd want to be added to omori it's sunny feeling guilty for causing his sister die in an anti climatic, goofy, pointless way that she didn't deserve.
I'm a little more neutral on omori memes but some of them are pretty disappointing tbh. I don't like the fact that Kel specifically gets memed on the most when he has some trauma as the rest of the omori cast do. He just doesn't show it, because he's trying to cover up his true feelings by pretending to be this ball of happiness all the time. Which obviously isn't a good thing! In my own opinion, "every kel meme is canon" gets overused and really isn't that funny anymore.
I tought you were going to talk about Rule34 or those kind of things. I honestly think that there are some good Omori memes, like the "Hero tagged Sanny" one, the "Aubrey tagged Basil" one and.......and.......actually, those are the only funny ones in my opinion (that I remember, at least)💀
I think people who WANT to make Omori memes have looked at the numbers the videos do, and decide to copy the same thing generally. In turn getting them views, and then the next person who wants to make omori memes come along..
You know, I just finished Omori and started looking at some memes. Only a few so far, but the ones at the top of the feed, n I don't really see any of the memes your describing. Almost all the ones I saw were individually animated and actually referenced the story without going "haha dark" or "haha jumpscare"
I thought the omori fandom crashed into the pit with FNAF, and MLP for a second.. but this was refreshing, im aware that the fandom doesn't make memes that are amazing but people needed a break from how serious the game is. So the memes are just brainrot Also i saw someone say something about not taking Kel's trauma seriously. most people are aware that hes also like the rest of his friends, but it seems the joyful personality type makes people ingore everything else. And fused with the fandom wanting a break from the horrifying mentality game, they took the opportunity and ran with it. Thats also probably why we see alot of memes of headspace, because nothing has to make sense there, its all a dream after all. TLDR; Everyone who makes memes like this are trying to distract/disconnect people from the true nature of something, in this case being the game 🎉

"Omori memes aren't funny." Hearing this coming from the most monotone voice imaginable is both hilarious and makes you sound like you don't find anything funny. That being said, you could say that about modern memes in general, mostly due to the fact that people beat any new meme into the ground in a matter of days, if even that.
The video made me chuckle slightly because I remember Adventure Time so fondly. The audio and show it’s from is funny, not the actual Omori part of it. The fact that it’s Basil and Sunny talking adds nothing. That’s the problem to me at least
Personally some Omori memes are quite funny to me but I see your point some of them are either repetitive or are straight up bad like Mari falling down the stairs is a meme
It doesnt really matters if you like that sort of media from the game or not. Games are just a way to express something, just like art. Enjoy the game itself and thats it, i honestly never watch game memes because i dont feel necessary to do so, even so, its good to recognize the flaws of the community. But, a community normally never changes the game mechanics, or the fun itself behind that game. And if people blur your perspective towards the game, you can always watch a review to see if you like it or not..
In my opinion a lot of just image memes are a lot more enjoyable than video/gif memes. I have found very few video memes funny when it comes to Omori. Definitely a lot of just "loud=funny" jokes like you said but also an obnoxious amount of "character falling with my time playing" jokes, stairs jokes, hanging jokes, watermelon jokes, etc. it's all repetitive and boring and feels kinda insulting to a game that has so much thought put into it 😭
Basically a summary: the reason why this fandom is the most chaotic and unfunny and so un mature, is simply the fact that all everyone does is make jokes. The entire game of omori is mainly about depression, death, sewer side, and trauma. And yet, it’s Al just jokes jokes jokes. But what makes it worse is that, it’s not so much that people should not be making memes, I’m going to be honest, some make me chuckle but, then there’s the low quality as memes that most of the time aren’t even funny. I get that every fandom has to have there flaws, trollers, memers, and especially shipers. But please yall, for gods sake, if your going to make an omori meme,at least try to make it funny
Thank you, I thought I was the only one with that statement, and so I just stopped watching the memes, without saying anything, there is a few ones that made me laugh, but the most (99%) part of it just isn't funny, so thank you
I don't really like the type of memes mentioned in the video (TikTok videos, some edits, etc.), but I do find some to be pretty funny (mostly animations/animatics and some images).
Personally, I find them silly. Maybe not funny, but silly. I will agree though that people just... need to step their game up. Looking back, the memes that are in the community are just nonsensical or dark. We need some clever ones, not more about stairs.
Agreed, I've been in this community for about 2 1/2 years now and sure the memes were funny at first but it's just the same stuff over and over. Honestly, I've pretty much withdrawn from the whole omori memes scene because they are just so unfunny.
Yeah, a lot of omori memes are overused. Sure i still laugh at them because my humor is crap, but its getting to the point where i honestly think people who would like omori get would uninterested due to the memes
Cherry picking much, yes some suck but thats legit for everything its the gen z they what think a piece of toast falling over is funny also depressed/traumatized so 😂
@@francyisanid1ot106undertale memes are pretty decently funny and some of them get me dead on the floor, unlike omori WHICH does get me dead on the floor... because of how cringe it is
I think some actual funny ones arent proper "means", im pretty sure r/omori's top post of all time is a good example of this. Just funny artwork fits the game way more.
I finished Omori only last week, not only that, but I only finished one ending, and even I was surprised of how unfunny the memes on youtube are. I only found like 2 youtubers who make memes I actually enjoy.
Alright... based on the majority of the comment section, we acknowledge and understand the staleness of OMORI memes. Onto the next step, how can we fix them? Not to be mean, but if people are going to be complaining this badly, they could at least give some advice-or else nothing'll change and those burgers will always be fondling with our minds.
Okay u have to admit a few of the memes are funny (not the burger, stairs, watermelon etc) but i agree it doesnt really feel like a psycological horror game with all of the memes. I feel like it could be more but most of the fandom just makes a bunch of overused memes. It’s kinda hard to accept because i love omori and the fandom, but yeah it’s true that the memes are unfunny, like when watching meme comps i only really laugh at like 3 memes. though i really like the omori Pinterest community.
i feel like the meme compilations tend to get old quick whereas the meme clips tend to be funnier so maybe its just a matter of not overconsuming the same jokes but coming back to them when youve forgotten about them
Probably one of the only Omori memes that has made me laugh: Hero: "Sorry I'm late. I was doing something." Mari: "I'm something." Hero: "MARI NO!" Mari: **Is literally Something**
(Just a personal feeling, I might be reaching) I think most of our memes feel very juvenile. The type of stuff I'd have found funny when I was 11-13 or during my Undertale phase back in 2017 Our fandom is pretty equal in the distribution of ages, with some parts of it favoring one age group over the other. Discussion and fanart tends to be mostly people over 16 and memes(and group chats on discord), I believe, skew more towards the younger side. So I don't really judge it cuz I assume the people making them are mostly young teens or older kids I believe(hope) as the years ago by our humor will get more refined, like Undertale memes got due to the fandom growing up and maturing their taste :P
I have a potential joke, hopefully someone finds it funny Omori takes his first well earned check and goes to a local meat shop (Shook) Sunny: "Geez the stakes are high" Sunny face palms "I hate inflation jokes"
THANKS! I thought my humor is just dead, but hearing the same jokes is so depressing to me. Animations, art memes or memes that may be extremely random but don't have the same jokes (or directly don't lead to said joke) are my favorites now. I also wasn't a fan of the plushie ones tbh.
Ngl this is why I never tried to get into omori till maybe now, people don't know how to move on with jokes that dont feel forced and unfunny. That's all I have to say atm
@@bossdoor oh my bad when I meant "trauma" I meant it like, satirical but yeahhh...although, when I do see something omori related on my feed I get flashbacks lol

"i know he's the only one to cope but that is just straight up weird." i wouldnt say this, everyone copes, and its not like kels coping is really healthy either, he copes by pretending that he is happy and its pretty clear in certain scenes... which while healthier than the rest is still pretty unhealthy

In my opinion, what makes those dumb memes funny is not that they're funny themselves. It's the fact that they're made for a game that's about a boy who murdered his sister fighting his trauma.

In my opinion a lot of just image memes are a lot more enjoyable than video/gif memes. I have found very few video memes funny when it comes to Omori. Definitely a lot of just "loud=funny" jokes like you said but also an obnoxious amount of "character falling with my time playing" jokes, stairs jokes, hanging jokes, watermelon jokes, etc. it's all repetitive and boring and feels kinda insulting to a game that has so much thought put into it 😭
The only thing that annoys me and hate the most is My time community.
Bro don't insult my content! >:(
i bet your brain is smaller than a rice grain.
Its just hard not to cringe when seeing most of them
I mean not every omori memes aren't funny some of them are actually kinda entertaning to me but those tenor gifs fucking annoys me sometimes 💀
Cherry picking much, yes some suck but thats legit for everything its the gen z they what think a piece of toast falling over is funny also depressed/traumatized so 😂
Bro you are so right, but if it is an actually well made meme it can be funny, in my opinion.
I feel like this is a failure of almost every community, not just Omori's community.
Not talking about fnaf and Undertale memes most of them are just not funny and i'm an og fan of both games
@@francyisanid1ot106 undertale memes have gotten way more funny over the years
@@NOLIFEGAMERNUMBER yeah but those memes in 2015-2017 💀
@@francyisanid1ot106undertale memes are pretty decently funny and some of them get me dead on the floor, unlike omori WHICH does get me dead on the floor... because of how cringe it is
@@Sil2iconDreams some omori memes are decent the only part of memes that I think they suck are those tenor gifs
I think some actual funny ones arent proper "means", im pretty sure r/omori's top post of all time is a good example of this. Just funny artwork fits the game way more.
I finished Omori only last week, not only that, but I only finished one ending, and even I was surprised of how unfunny the memes on youtube are.
I only found like 2 youtubers who make memes I actually enjoy.
finally someone with a brain
FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT
thats true.
Good vid lol
Omori isnt a game that should have memes. It should be left alone please.
Alright... based on the majority of the comment section, we acknowledge and understand the staleness of OMORI memes.
Onto the next step, how can we fix them? Not to be mean, but if people are going to be complaining this badly, they could at least give some advice-or else nothing'll change and those burgers will always be fondling with our minds.
Fondling is wild
Extreme cringe, rp, and a lack of new content is why the community is so stagnant some people can’t just enjoy the game normally
THANK YOU.
this is such a laughable issue. its not that serious.
Some Omori memes I actually like are probably the ones that meffols makes
Okay u have to admit a few of the memes are funny (not the burger, stairs, watermelon etc) but i agree it doesnt really feel like a psycological horror game with all of the memes. I feel like it could be more but most of the fandom just makes a bunch of overused memes. It’s kinda hard to accept because i love omori and the fandom, but yeah it’s true that the memes are unfunny, like when watching meme comps i only really laugh at like 3 memes. though i really like the omori Pinterest community.
my friend got spoiled because of teehee funny omori meme
i feel like the meme compilations tend to get old quick whereas the meme clips tend to be funnier so maybe its just a matter of not overconsuming the same jokes but coming back to them when youve forgotten about them
THE OMORI MEME COMPS ARE SO UNFUNNY IM CRYING but the Pinterest community is dope :3
Tbh the only community im in is Pinterest.. so i dont reallly understand if theres something wrong with the community
i honestly still like the plush memes and the kel burger memes even tho their old
pls dont berate me for my unfunny humor
Probably one of the only Omori memes that has made me laugh:
Hero: "Sorry I'm late. I was doing something."
Mari: "I'm something."
Hero: "MARI NO!"
Mari: **Is literally Something**
Yipeeeeee
Bro really just said proshippers out loud mad corny bro💀🙏
(Just a personal feeling, I might be reaching)
I think most of our memes feel very juvenile. The type of stuff I'd have found funny when I was 11-13 or during my Undertale phase back in 2017
Our fandom is pretty equal in the distribution of ages, with some parts of it favoring one age group over the other. Discussion and fanart tends to be mostly people over 16 and memes(and group chats on discord), I believe, skew more towards the younger side. So I don't really judge it cuz I assume the people making them are mostly young teens or older kids
I believe(hope) as the years ago by our humor will get more refined, like Undertale memes got due to the fandom growing up and maturing their taste :P
Yeo
I have a potential joke, hopefully someone finds it funny
Omori takes his first well earned check and goes to a local meat shop
(Shook) Sunny: "Geez the stakes are high"
Sunny face palms
"I hate inflation jokes"
i’m new with the game(i played it in genuary) and i thought they were pretty mid and overused
Ngl............... I agree, welcome to the club! :3
This is why I have trauma with the community and dipped
Cause of bad memes?
@@bossdoor well yes and my phase in general was pretty cringe
@@macncard.9673 sorry to hear. Hope you're feeling better
@@bossdoor oh my bad when I meant "trauma" I meant it like, satirical but yeahhh...although, when I do see something omori related on my feed I get flashbacks lol
Id say the only omori vid that made me smile is a video when mari was freaking out over making mistakes when playing piano and sunny was slowly backing away
some of them are funny some are not imo, i like omori memes like omori murdering everyone with a gun and these stuff, but most omori memes kinda suck
Even that i actually like the memes, i agree with you, some aren't funny because they act like kel (in the mari's death day) was like: "Oh damn... hey do we have orange joe?" and doesn't have even a little bit of trauma. like?? i know he's the only one to cope but that is just straight up weird.
Same
"i know he's the only one to cope but that is just straight up weird." i wouldnt say this, everyone copes, and its not like kels coping is really healthy either, he copes by pretending that he is happy and its pretty clear in certain scenes... which while healthier than the rest is still pretty unhealthy
Some of these memes are dumb but tho ones i watch are actually good
I mean it’s kind of the same with breaking bad and bcs.
hi man
when i first saw you, it was on a sunny day at the beach. You were in a bikini that day and i couldnt take my eyes off of you. I tried to walk up to you, but instead you tried to do weird actions that seemed kind of fetish like, i ran away instantly scared for my life.
@@darkbat8000 you cant run fast enough
@@foreverlikethestarss you never caught me
oh?
FINALLY someone said it thank you 🙏
ok, but
REAL🗣📢📢📢📢📢
bro rip my notifications almost every other comment on my most popular vids are just "stairs" 💀ngl serious vids are way more fulfilling to make, they just take waaaay longer
never found the memes funny, garbage content.
In my opinion, what makes those dumb memes funny is not that they're funny themselves. It's the fact that they're made for a game that's about a boy who murdered his sister fighting his trauma.
We deserve better memes
Truly agree with this one
Holy shit.....he's right
A
leave bacon alone lil Bro!
Yeah i agree with a lot of this but i DID find some funny just not the ones that are the common omori “meme” format. I HATE the burgers on my mind thing
Anyone know where I could find the original audio played at 1:01?
I’ve been looking everywhere for it lol
