I never get tired of hearing you play this song. I always liked the lyrics but Wil, your arrangement is surely the finest I’ve ever heard!! Beautiful!!!
I think that you would be perfect for Austin City Limits. You two are so very talented and gifted. You don't know how much America needs to hear these songs and sounds now. To me this is a true reflection on the pioneering spirit. God Bless.
I wrote this on another post of this video but since you are looking at the comments to this one I thought I would share again. WOW doesn't do this justice... That was so beautiful I can't imagine why that wasn't how it was intended in the first place. Great arrangement. 5 *****
No, I use an open G tuning, kind of like a banjo, but capoed up to the 4th fret (B). Some fiddle players hate that, but Robert gets around in B pretty well! I don't use a pick here, just fingers.
It's easy to be overshadowed by robert's guitar playing, but you are quite a player yourself, Wil. What a lovely song and arrangement. I hope I can see you both perform in NC some time. Unfortunately, I can never make to Merlefest! Where is your schedule posted?
Wil, Aonther beautifully played song by the two of you. I love the accoustics and down home country feeling in these songs. Do you have a website to order CD's? Aspenglow Always, TB
hi there, It's a D-21 that I am playing, and I have it in open G, but capoed up to B so I can sing it. Glad you like the sound of it- I like woody old beatup guitars.

Great woody tone on the D21...What strings do you use--brand/type and gauge?
