there's actually a pin in the bottem of the SCAR-L's orange tip holding it in, not sure if you damaged anything. i havent taken mine off yet; just got it today
scars are a bit picky with mags. Mine wont even fit my evike bamf mags. to be fair though, I dont even know what brand my scar is. Its older than dirt, has zero trades, and zero branding anywhere on or in.
I'm interested in it as well. I think it's basically the exact same gearbox as my Cyma Platinum MP5 v2 gearbox just without a Mosfet. So it should be very decent. My only questions are about the HU unit.
I have the same exact SCAR. The bolt catch locks back to adjust the hop up. You just have to press the bolt catch to lock it back Edit: where did you get that eotech? I was looking for one in black. Last edit: the Specna Arms midcaps work best in the scar imo. I have the stanag and the other mags they offer, they are pretty good

i got a double bell one and it was full metal
those magazines have feeding issues. and they are thicker than most mags

Amazon, it's knock off for about $140-$160. No reason to put a real $1000 sight on it for airsoft.
