I’ve always said philodendron MA-MAY. Its the only pronunciation that sounds pleasant to me.
Also, I love ficus ruby. I wanted a variegated rubber plant since I started collecting 4 years ago but it’s always been low on my wishlist and just never made its way into my collection. Finally bought a little one a couple weeks ago and I love it!

Love plant shopping!!! It is so hard to resist buying plants. I am really trying to be very deliberate in what I buy because I am very prone to impulse buys at the nursery. I thought the prices were decent. I always think of New York as having prices on the higher end. Thanks for letting me live through you! I am sure you have brought happiness to your Grandpa. Best wishes for his improved health.

QUESTION ; What would be the best variety of Hoya to get started with them ??? I have lots of houseplants but no Hoyas yet.
Any carnosa variety!! I personally love krimson queen and princess! They were my first Hoya as well 😊
Oh my goodnss Jaclynn, this garden center has so many gorgeous plants, there were several I would have wanted to buy if the price wasn't too high, but for how beautiful they were I would have gotten them just because I love a pretty plant, and those would have been that gorgeous Begonia, that Batik Syngonium, I have a Confetti Syngonium that I really love she is in a 6 inch pot and is doing really great so many new leaves popping out. I also loved that Hoya Australis Lisa, I had a small one in a 4 inch pot that I got for 9.99 and she died and I will be looking for another one. Someday I hope to get a Philodendron Pink Princess soon, our Costco had some for 19.99 I just didn't have the money to grab one or I would have. I also love the variegated string of hearts. I have the string of turtles that I got at Walmart and she is doing so good. Oh thanks so much Jaclynn for the plant shopping tour I really love when you take us to places that have really beautiful plants.
