    *Corrections:*
    1. Early game do not put points into heavy armor until you are ready to make and wear it. This influences chance to drop armor books and I have no idea if the chance stacks. It looks like it may. Just putting points into any main category so for example Strength will increase chance of finding armor books.
    2. *Do not* put a point into Advanced Engineering put it into *lockpicking* instead. Advanced Engineering also gives a chance to find trap, electric and build tool magazines and lockpicking only adds Great Heist and Workstations. So it is a better option.
    3. The boots. Looks like these are not important. I misinterpreted what I was reading. Looks like they only give stamina regen only when running. So with maxed out miner 69'er and the ergonomic grip you will regen stamina faster than you can spend it mining. So use whatever boots you want.
    -----
    These are the only discrepancies people have pointed out so far that are actually factual. I am verifying claims by looking at the actual XML files. I am very sorry for these mistakes. I do my best but I'm not perfect. Thank you to the people who caught them.

      I just did some simple testing and found that even though there's a negative xp modifier on the mother lode skill and other items, you still get more xp over all.
      Results: With 5 in mother lode, xp per coal boulder was 597 instead of 502 with 0.
      Breakdown: 0 points- 502
      1 point- 540
      2 points-562
      3 points- 584
      4 points- 594
      5 points- 597
      5 points w/ rock buster- 614
      Also wearing the nerd goggles with the XP mod increased per block xp to 683 but does reduce the ore gathered by 15 per block.
      Also, the amount of coal gathered went from 64 per rock to 125.
      Another note, having the full mining set further reduces degradation of mining tools by 35%
      Note: the book that increases ore by 10% when buzzing from coffee actually dropped how much ore I got, reducing the xp gains. However, reading all 7 art of mining books increases ore drop rates by 20%. This increased my xp to 706 per block.
      In all, with 5 points in miner 69'er, 5 points mother lode, all 7 art of mining books, nerd goggles with xp mod, the rest of mining set with 3 customized fittings mods, grandpa's learnin' elixir, and rock busters, you get 706 xp per block or 38,830 per minute of continuous mining.
      At any rate, great video. I wouldn't have thought to check these possibilities without your work and I can understand it took you a lot of time testing and making the video. Again great video. 👍🏼

    should be titled, how to get fast xp when you really don't "need" it any more. get a nail gun and upgrade your base blocks with an elixir. going from frame to to concrete is a lot. doing it over night is sweet.
    EDIT: still some sweet info worth the watch.

  • @eircK

    My best leveling way but needs a higher level setup are horde nights and I usually set them more frequent like every 3 days and max the zombie settings. My best setup has been a room with blade traps on floors and ceilings and wire from the sides as I sit behind and shoot the zombies. With learning elixirs, nerd head, xp mod, 75% trap xp from electrical perk etc this gave me roughly one level per in game hour after the 180k xp cap so it's usually 6 levels per horde night after roughly 1k zombie kills. I get that upping the hn time for farming xp can be thought of as cheesy but it's fun to me so I do it.

  • @evilspyke5760
    @evilspyke5760 2 месяца назад +7

    better way to get exp early game? screamers. build a cheese base and then screamers. mining is good for late game but also add the screamers. also scavenging is good exp, and its good for screamers. go to a poi and take everything apart, and get screamers. you know, you can also just stand and stare at the sun and screamers.

  • @streblo5756
    @streblo5756 2 месяца назад +7

    Also Mother Lode does increase your experience gain. Base experience gain is 420 per, 466 if you drink coffee with Art of Mining Vol 3, and 502 if you drink a Learning Elixir while it caps at 575 for both. But with Mother Lode you get 450 as your base and Coffee makes you loose experience, and Learning Elixir gives you 614 per block mined. So I don't quite understand why you tell them not to take Mother Lode as that +30 xp, and +100% additional materials without a learning elixir or +94 xp and still +100% additional materials is huge.

    • @streblo5756
      @streblo5756 2 месяца назад +1

      I only tested Rock Busters after I added mother lode points so I don't know if it helps or hinders prior to mother lode, nor did I care as you're just hindering yourself not taking mother lode but Rock Busters does make you loose xp for maximum buff foods you just stick to learning elixir.

    and they need to boost kill XP, mining has always been the fastest way to level and thasts stupid, i would go out clearing multiple tier 5 POIs come home to a friend double my level from just minding a bloody tunnel with no risk challenge and barely any effort.

    While this is true, I wouldnt recommend grinding out xp as fast as you can. The size of the horde is based heavily on your gamestage and lvl. So if you just grind xp, youre gonna have a high lvl horde with a mediocre base, weapons and ammo. So if youre gaining xp, make it worth it.
    That really only applies if you're playing solo though. This is great if you're playing with a group, because you can rely on others to get the books, weapons and ammo!

    Its so weird having played this game for years and all the sudden seeing a ton of RUclipsrs that rarely or never cover it start releasing videos for it.
    If any new players are reading this, you're going to ruin the game for yourself if you worry about XP all the time. XP is not a huge deal in this game, just invest early skill points in combat skills and you'll be fine. 7days is more about the journey than anything else, if you go and farm XP until your eyes bleed you'll miss out on a lot and you'll go do a few of the tougher POI's and then you'll get bored. Unless you're on a pvp server I would just take it easy, experience as many POI's as you can, and as long as you're frequently fighting zombies the XP will come quickly enough. But like I said, pvp is a different story 😂

    • @Firespark81
      @Firespark81  3 месяца назад +2

      I think guides like this are not so much for grinding straight to 300 but more for getting those few levels you need fast to finish your build or what have you.

    The gathering buffs, like from Rock Busters and Motherlode do give a mining penalty. Until you want to increase your harvest do not bother with motherlode. You will get more ore by breaking blocks faster with just Miner 69er then is worth the xp penalty. It's been this way since I started playing back in a19. I would put a point into Lockpicking instead of advanced engineering. It adds Forge ahead to the loot table until you get to 15 books. Advanced Engineering adds wiring and traps books to the table too so it clutters up the loot table for a while.

    Armor - 128
    Armor - 108

    Average = 107 / 53.5% of the bundles gave me armor books.

    Don't put a point in advanced engineering you end up increasing the chances for 2 or 3 book types (workstations, electrical, traps). Instead put that point into lock picking. So your day 73 with end game tier 6 gear and now talking about how to level fastest possible? Best and easiest way other than game editing in stacks of diamonds and selling them which is the fastest. but doing it normally the best and easiest way from game onset is to make as much cobble stone as possible and build any base, and simply upgrade, from plain wood, to harden wood and then cobblestone. once you have concrete churning out, upgrading from the beginning again all way to concrete burns thru exp...the more levels you upgrade thru the more the exp stacks. This can be done from the moment you spawn into game.

Just to level faster and then realize there is no endgame yet. Then you level superfast, but have no skillbooks to craft weapons that match the enemies. I mean that´s a challenge on it´s own. The only thing i did not understand when you have no points on mother load, just simply using miner helmet or nerd helmet then yes, miner helmet gives u more exp, but as soon as u have points on mother load, it turns around, and nerd helmet gives u more exp.
