Thank you so much for sharing this great information!! I am thinking of venturing out next season with a small streetside stand and have gotten some great info from your channel !
I am a newbie cut flower grower and I love your videos. I live in Alberta, Canada, which is a Zone 3 and this poses a lot of challenges, more than I can share on this platform. I was very curious as to how to set up a booth at the farmers market and your simple way of dealing with this situation totally inspires me! Thank you so much!
Do you have a video of how you pack your bouquets to bring to market? I always worry that they are going to get crushed and the Kraft paper will get wet.
About an 1/8 of an acre. Not everything in the garden is yet producing but I am easily making 25-30 bouquets a week. Soon I’ll have sunflowers, zinnias and dahlias to add to that
I've been watching your videos for some now and they are very helpful and informative. Your display and flower bouquets are very beautiful and colorful. I'm beginning a market garden and the advise you give, especially on making bouquets and about farmers' markets is a great help. You mentioned something about Venmo devices. I've seen these things but don't know a lot about them. Perhaps in another video you could elaborate on them. Where to get them? Their costs? How to use them? Thank you very much.
Hi Christina, I watched your video the other day and clicked the canopy link provided. I ordered what I thought was the canopy and also sandbags separately. The delivery just came and the link takes you to a side wall for a canopy, not the actual canopy. I will go back and order the canopy from Amazon but I just wanted to let you know that the link takes you just to the sidewall not to the full canopy. Also, the sandbags are included when you order the full canopy. Love watching your videos, keep them coming!🌸
I pick the day before the market and arrange that night and leave in my air conditioned house. Don't stress to refrigerate if you are picking day before because they'll look fine. Just put in your air conditioned house.
Hi Christina! Do you only accept cash and Venmo at the farmers market? I’m just starting out growing cut flowers and I want to start selling at the local market and wondered what forms of payment I should accept. Thanks 🙏🏻
I sell too and only use cash and venmo. At bigger markets the market managers may have a token system where customers can get market tokens that are used like dollars that I can exchange at the end of the market. Generally people will be able to use either.
Such a beautiful presentation! Thanks!
Thank you sooooo much! You explained your setup so beautifully. Sending you sooooooooooo much love from South Africa.
Thanks for watching!!
Thank you for sharing this information.
Thank you Christina. 🌸💚🙃
We are going to do some local markets this coming year, this was such an informative video, thank you! :)
Glad it was helpful!

@@SunshineFlora And I absolutely love your mini bouquet idea that I plan to use myself. The highest form of flattery is to imitate! You rock!

I’ll include that in my next bouquet making video!
Lots of good info. Thanks !

I'm curious of your total square footage that you're now growing in, and how many bouquets..market, csa, etc that you get from that space each week

@@SunshineFlora wonderful! 🌸

I have a square reader for cards - linked in description - Venmo is an app you download on your phone for free and no other devices are needed!

Oh no!!! So sorry!! I will have to double check that
Sandbags did not come with my canopy - lucky!!
Thank you 😊
Such a simple and cute set up!
Thank you!! 😊
Are you able to refrigerate all you grow for cut flowers? Zinnias and basil I understand do not like to be put in the cooler.
I also don’t put yarrow in the fridge

Do you put ice in the buckets to keep flowers cool or would that harm them?
I do not - My setup is in the shade so they do ok

Both of those. I also have a square reader just in case someone brings a card but most everyone brings cash. Vendor events I use Venmo a lot
@@SunshineFlora Thanks! That helps! 😀

Is the cloth on your tent UV rated? That would be nice.
UPF 50+. The link to the tent is in the video description so you can read all about it.
@@SunshineFlora Great, Thank you.
