He has received numerous accolades for his trailblazing work covering drug policy, cannabis business and culture, and continues to columnize and host podcasts for a number of top publications. Mr. Baca was named Marketer of the Year by AdCann in 2019.
    Mr. Baca personally assembled Grasslands’ Content Team, which has more than four decades of top-level journalism experience at outlets including The Denver Post, Chicago Sun-Times, Wonkette, Men’s Health, Women’s Health and elsewhere. I'm 70 and I've been ingesting cannabis for about 55 years now and this is the answer to "what about the kids"? When the kids are little you put them to bed and about a half hour later mom and dad get high at the kitchen table. When they get older you either go outside in the summer or take a walk to the park. Raised three kids and none of them ever knew we smoked. To me, cannabis is a sacred herbal plant that should be treated with respect and reverence.

    Got my first migraine when I was 13 (1985). After 30 years of mildly effective prescriptions (Caffergot, Sumatriptan Succinate Injections, buckets of Excedrin-Acetaminophen) I was gifted a tiny bud of weed in 2016. I woke to a migraine aura growing in my eye, remembered the bud, took 2 puffs of a bb sized amount. Those 2 puffs ZEROED ALL SYMPTOMS. Zero eye strain in bright light, zero nausea, zero head movement pain, zero tension, zero all pain. Anyone who says weed has no medical benefits are lying or mistaken.

    • @eminemilly
      @eminemilly 4 года назад +2

      It stops helping my migraines after a while plus I am prone to addictive behavior and find it hard to stop.

    • @lordcrunk4790
      @lordcrunk4790 4 года назад +3

      @@eminemilly Sorry, not fun. I'd suggest buying the minimal amount and definitely don't burn/smoke it. Buy a portable vape that only brings the bud to about 390˚F. You'll go through a very small amount that way and it should be much more effective. Also keep a complete log of everything you eat and track your headaches accordingly. Many of my headaches were kicked off by certain foods. Aged cheeses, wine, too much caffeine, food additives. Another natural product is called SunusPlumber headache nasal spray, it burns for a second but then provides some relief. And, also, don't sleep near a window where the sun shines on your face, that screwed with my eyes and set off headaches. Best of luck.

    • @clay25420
      @clay25420 4 года назад +2

      @Frank L Doubt it... I have the same issue with headaches and many prescriptions. It helps immensely in prevention, and if used at onset of headache, can stop it all together..
      It works better than the several prescription drugs I have tried including most of those listed above.
      It doesn't always work 100%, but is as effective for me and sometimes more than taking ibuprofen and Acetiminophen at the same time (which is what one doctor told me to do, but can't be good for stomach or liver over years of use!)

    It’s sad that we even have to have a TED talk about legalizing cannabis. It shouldn’t have to become “legal”, there just shouldn’t be any legislation whatsoever because it’s a plant. There shouldn’t be a limit on personal possession, flowering plants at home, etc. the only thing that laws should apply to is sales, in which you sell cannabis to whoever and you record the sale and file a 1099 at the end of the tax year. Marijuana has been “legal” for the vast majority of history and its illicit status in modern times is a historical anomaly

    Who cares if it's bad for you or not? We are talking about the govermnent forbidding it to you. On this basis anything bad should be illegal, like alcohol, sugar, sleeping less than 7 hours, skateboarding, etc... If you couldn't possibly make a bad decision on your life what would it even mean?
