I was more than a little sceptical that the story would be good. To my surprise and delight it was much better than I could have hope for. Bravo!!! ❤ 🎉
I remember growing up hearing these stories on the radio!these kids would never appreciate the simplicity of life bk then🎉🎉love these stories they bring bk child hood memories ❤
I agree it's way different to listen to a story being told than watching one because each person listening has to make the pictures up in their own minds so each person will have a different picture in their heads absolutely brilliant.
Imagining Lord Moffat & Lady Gatiss in those costumes IS a hillarious interpretation of that classic yarn. Still, grudges remain, as the toe of Twice Daily is not forgotten yet. 🤣
Moffatt does a great neo-Rathbone performance👏👏👏👏👏👏…a wonderful idea….like Superman vs Batman😲…these two great legendary fictional figures..as adversaries….excluding perhaps Moriarty…only Dracula 🧛🏻could be a match….for the great mind of Sherlock Holmes! Thank you for the gems of the BBC 😊👍👍
I still like these radio plays. Our favorites while sitting around the big radio. We didnt sound a peep during the whole story. Along with the creaking door and other spooky plays.
This title has caused me to swipe past this one, since finding you awhile back. So glad, out of desperation for something I haven't heard repeatedly, that I stopped & read the cast list. ✔👏👍
So clearly who else besides Moriarty could stand a chance against the great Sherlock Holmes?!?! Great stuff ty so much get the upload I am on cloud 9 in total bliss❤
I had my doubts about this one. Holmes and Vampires (Dracula) did not seem the right format. I was wrong. It was tastefully done with due deference given to the original "Dracula" story.
I have an acre of land on top of a hill overlooking the main channel of the largest lake in the state….I’m on a mission to cover the entire property with Japanese Maples!!!
Not big on having Holmes deal with the supernatural. Nonetheless great story and production. Imagination Theater does a Sherlock Holmes episode that deals in a Vampire theme but with no supernatural. Give it a listen.....Children of The Night. .five part series.
Poor ending. Bit all over the place. Excellent production though. And two greats in the lead roles worth listening to just for that. Story 2/10 Acting with average script 8/10

Me too before we had TV. We would sit on the floor in front of the big Philco radio. Or was it an RCA , I forget now.
The radio with stereo? My parents had one of those 😃
Forget television! This is far better - Hammer horror meets a cosy might in by the fireside with a wonderful book. What could be better?
Omg...I thought only I just thought listening to these were way better than watching it! I mean these stories just transfix me❤

Watching Jeremy Brett playing Holmes is as good,Brett was the apex of the character whether watched or listened to
Everything is wonderful
Thank you so much!!!🙏🏻🇺🇸

Deliciously impossible and improbable….great fun!
I have been a fan of Sherlock Holmes about 70 years. I love audio books.

I found myself in such an emotion lot. Finally laughing out loud at the conclusion. Most excellent!

Great story.....and how it was woven in the story of Dracula.
Superb production, performed immaculately. Nailed the Rathbone sound. The best Holmes.
As a longtime S.H. fan, I say: " 9 thumbs up"
I especially enjoy the parts that are faithful to Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Brilliant stuff. BBC are world class radio story tellers.
Yesss I love anything Sherlock Holmes ❤ I mean I literally can listen to his stories over end over again!
Great story.
moffat sound very like Rathbone very well done, very very well done
Brilliant

I too scrolled past this one a few times but not that I'm into the first 5mins I'm like ok I like it... Lol
Me too. I always re listen to all my favourite radio dramas at sleepy time. I passed this one by until tonight and I’m pleasantly surprised.
One of the most atmospheric Sherlock Holmes dramas. Great story, set on a wintry Dartmoor. Although not written by Conan Doyle.
Oh wow I don't know this wasn't Conan Doyle's work.... albeit very good story...
Watson ;- "then you agree with my conclusion?". Holmes ;- "no, you are totally wrong".
So like Holmes! Straight to it lol
Just the ticket. Thank you.
💯 agree!

Why is the sound garbled?
