And even b4 that there was Sasuke vs Orochimaru in the chunin exams and b4 that the last episode in the Zabuza arc

10:48 he went in for close combat and made contact with Hidan so that his shadow was touching Hidan's shadow. So instead of trying to chase him down with his shadow, he brought himself to Hidan for a guaranteed shadow to shadow contact.
Ok Baris redeemed himself when he told the truth about ino and choji being weak links here..they are way out of there league against these two..hell Ino flat out clearly states that she isnt a fighter which is true, her whole jutsu is dependent on another being there ( shikamaru) to hold her opponent...moreover, if Kakashi hadnt come with team 10, they would have gotten completely destroyed even with Shikamaru bc he would have been overwhelmed with trying to keep his team alive, to say nothing of defeating Kakuza and Hidan...the fact is ino and choji are one trick ponies and you need vast versatility to have any chance vs these two which lucky for team 10 they had with Kakashi.

He lets people calling him fat get under his skin. Choji's weak minded, and at this moment, he isn't fit to be a shinobi through shinobi creed alone. With that said, he definitely becomes a badass later and well deserving of being a shinobi.
My favorite was Deidara and Sasori. Sasori was such a great character and his banter with Deidara was funny . Pain is my favorite but Kisame is a close second

Shikamaru couldnt have known that he has to consume blood for the jutsu to work so he wouldve never known how to plan for hidan. watch asuma fight again hidan back was turned the whole time to shikamaru. how could he have seen him lick the blood? and asuma cast a large smoke fire attack he was covered by the smoke so there is no way shikamaru wouldve have notice that he consumed blood for the jutsu.

I always thought that story was bullshit. Hashirama could absolutely obliterate Kakuzu if he wanted to. Either he got the floor mopped with him and pretended to be dead or it was some large scale battle in which both participated.
Young Kakuzu was tasked to assassinate Hashirama during the 1st shinobi war and Kakuzu lost against a secret jutsu from Hashirama. He escaped barely alive tho... with 1 life at that time !
