Bring a trashcan. Literally none of the colleges I’ve toured come with a trash can in the dorm.

The student services building at MSU allows you to print up 25 pages for free a week. Printers in dorms are very unnecessary.
I agree with the cups. I drink tons of tea, so when I moved out I brought two mugs with me and used them for hot and cold drinks

the clothing part made me laugh bc while i was visiting my boyfriend in michigan last month, it was 63 degrees out and i was fricking freezing?? and i looked at ow hot it was back home in new orleans and it was 93 LOL but im so excited for the weather omg we dont get yellow/orange/red trees and snow so thatll be new
sis i live on an island (palau) where it's never even below 85 f so im excited too :') going to university of michigan

I never needed one! But if you want one for when friends spend the night, it could be valuable!
OMG i said the same thing!! large furniture like futons are so unnecessary! and it takes up space
