Imo some of your valuations are way off, not sure what version of ebay you are looking at haha. Lantern is approx £20. Paperweight £10-£15. Binoculars £10-15. Still some cracking pick ups though. Halo one best of the day, i would list for £100 or best offer and take offers of £75-£80. Video camera another very good pick up, assuming it works. Good vid as always 👍
Chris, the lamp, will be after 1949, as prior to that Germany was under Allied occupation from 1945/1948, and before that was still the third Reich 1933/1945.and only then became West Germany in 1949, a lot of items manufactured in West Germany in the 1950s, came over here to the U.K. bought over by British soldiers during their National Service

But at least your in France!! To be honest I wouldn’t bother taking a load of batteries, you’d have to take all eventualities, plus the time it takes, and most of the time the prices are pretty low. You just need to pick up the items and move to the next seller or you miss out. No sales in France that are similar? Flea markets maybe.
We live in the Dordogne/ Aquitaine (S.W.) area of France! There are some village flea markets (Vide Grenier) around, but nothing like the size of the car boots in the U.K.! I do miss the thrill of walking round fields with mud up to your armpits picking up crap! There's none of that here! But the Sun! It do shine!!! Take care you guys, and keep the vid's coming!

I don't know about getting pen off boxes. Even if you can get the top pen off, there a good chance it will have marked through and caused an indent. Might be best just to ditch the box or will it affect value too much? Wonder if you can part out the picture mate and get more for your buck? Having said that, 20p to £10 is a good enough mark up!!!! Edited to add that both John and Jemily have sold those lamps. Maybe have a word with John about posting if it goes international? One of his got smashed up unfortunately.

I think the model in this one hopefully makes it worth a bit more.
Isopropyl alcohol dissolves pen ink in seconds without damaging print. If you don't have any, try alcohol hand sanitiser.
