Excellent video! wonderful moose footage... beautiful creatures looking very haelthy. when you switched to Kraken camera around 9 minutes to the end I heard lots of background noises... coyotes??
@thefront40alaska Hey, I couldn't find a way to PM you because I think that's kinda personal, but I wanted to know, is it your piece of property or 'public land'? I am amazed by the moose herd that keeps coming back every year, and the low amount of bear in the area. Do you hunt bear to keep a healthy moose population? Or do you just enjoy wildlife? I think that's awesome! Next step would be to find a beaver lodge, I was thinking of finding one and plant a camera myself, they're crazy common out east here in the north woods!
This is our own private property. Little over 40 acres and definitely not public! I’m always amazed with the lack of bears on the property. This is bear country and you just go a mile or two from here and see bears almost at will. I think the many sled dog kennels near me keeps the bears away. I have no complaints on this. Bears can be a nuisance and don’t want them around the house. I do not hunt them. Admit they would make great video for the channel. Our area moose population has actually dropped due to The State opening up the area to hunting to reduce moose vehicle collisions…… not a fan….Used to have a lot more moose hanging around on the property. Like the bears we have lots of beaver in the area but I don’t have a favorable water source for them so I don’t see them on our property.
Fall is very late this year. About 3 weeks late. Been really strange. Our Fireweed that usually produces fields of beautiful purple colors in August never bloomed. This part of Alaska doesn’t have deer so I can’t answer how well they interact. Deer is only found in SE Alaska and most of the islands off the Southern coast.
I love your videos.
Thank You! They’re very fun to produce.
Really enjoy your beautiful property and wildlife! So relaxing ty
Thank you!!
You have a very curious moose! 🫎 📷 🎬
I love it when they interact with the cams.

Those sounds are from the neighboring sled dog kennels

Maybe a stupid question but why doesn't she have a calf with her? I thought they had one or two every year
Not all cows have calves with them. I do have one cow frequenting the 40 that has a couple calves with her still. She’s been in the recent videos.
Hi there i see some signs off fall there. Do moose and deer get along? Thank you.
