    Thankyou for testing this model. As a long draw guy, there are VERY FEW reviews of bows in this DL

    Yes, us LD guys appreciate this. Haven’t shot it yet but likely my next bow to replace my Hoyt and Bowtch

    As a 28”’draw guy I’ve been waiting to see this review for zero reasons other than that thing is just a beast of a bow. Thanks Josh

    Just got a lift xd. Took it home and set it up and thought maybe i screwed up, since my draw length is 31 1/2 ish. I said the hell with it, put mod E on it and checked it on the draw board. Saw nothing alarming.Shot about 60 arrows through it with 0 issues. Not sure if its the bigger cams but bow definitely feels smoother and quieter than then my lift 33
    I am very happy.

      Im 31.5 also. I was wondering if you could get 31.5 with the LD. I'm glad to hear that you can!

    • @keithharbaugh1
      @keithharbaugh1 День назад

      Yes, i have no problems using mod e to get it to 31.5. i believe they dont recommend using them primarily because the mods wont be at the advertised specs, but i could care less if mod says 70# and im getting 66 or something. I just know the bows shoots smooth and awesome. So, no issues.

    32” here. Been using a V3X 33 with modified strings. I was waiting on a new Atlas with all the current features or as it now seems - a Lift XD. 🎉🥳👌. Only had to wait for 2025.

    Interesting to argue “over priced” when the Mathews sits in the middle at cost…and a +2k Hoyt isn’t over priced?!
    I shot Hoyts, and actually shot for Hoyt in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Loved them! Hoyt lost my business when I bought the Traverse, and even though I keep trying Hoyts, I find myself choosing a Mathews. I have the luxury of buying whatever bow I want every year, even bought a BowTech SS34 as a backup a couple years ago (which was also a fine bow). The Lift is a game changer. If all you are going to do is hate, that’s your loss…

      You can’t compare a carbon bow to an aluminum bow. That’s extremely disingenuous

    •  16 дней назад

      @ really? Even when they weigh the same or in some cases the carbon bows weigh more, with similar speeds?! I beg to differ!

    Brace high at full draw, holding waight and handle width are 3 parameters that affects bow forgiveness (torquing).
    There are other parameters like axel to axel, weight.... but this doesnt affect torquing.
    Largeer brace high at full draw and higher holding weight makes bow harder to torque, wide and thick (blocky square) handle makes it easier to torque.
    Brace hight (one that you are measuring) directly ads to brace hight at full draw so it does help forgivness but hurts bow speed.
    Reflex-deflex tell su (more-less) how the cams will muve during limb compression.
    If you have paralel or past parallel limbs cams will muve mostly in vertical direction which will not contribute to brace hight at full draw and it will not contribute forgivness but the bow will create less hand shock (recoil), probably less noise and wibration.
    Longer and less paralel limbs will aneble cams to travel more in horisontal direction which will increase brace hight at full draw, increase forgivness (torquing ) but bow will jump forward durin shooting and probably make more noise.
    Also i don't agree with mesuring axel to axel and calling it honestly. Yo can easley adjust it buy adding or removing twists on string and cables.
    It is the same as draw weight. If you have 70 bls bow but it measure 71+ you can call it dishonesty but it is manufacturing inperfection.
    Bow speed, bow fisical (not draw) weight and brace hight (after adjusting axel to axel and adjust cam timing) shud be parameters that affect dishonesty.

    I think you should give them the 13 for speed. They are specifically selling this bow as a 32-33 inch draw bow. It was designed for those people and gives them the opportunity to have a bow that fits them. I think you should give the bow the opportunity to have a higher number but maybe with an asterisk stating why. The rs is for short draw and only goes to 29 inch yet it has ridiculous speed. My point is, if the manufacturer goes out of their way to provide bows for specific draw lengths I dont think they shouldnt be penalized for doing so.

    "What a Mathews shill" - a Hoyt shooter that pays more for less features.
    I am very excited to finally have an upgrade to my Atlas. What arrow are you shooting to be at 355 grains at 32"? My Rip TKO's (250 spine) are ~475 gr with stock insert and 100 gr field point.

    • @MikeHoncho504
      @MikeHoncho504 18 дней назад

      if I had to guess, it would be some variation of a rip xv. to get something long enough to shoot out of that bow at 32in its probably a 350 spine(6.4gpi)

    Don’t think you are an idiot, awesome review. But I do think it’s unfair to take points of for speed when a bow is Within 5 fps of advertised speed and isn’t ment to shoot 30” I think your original 13 was the right call.
    Either way can’t wait to shoot this bow as I have a 33-34 inch draw length.

    So, as a potential new bow owner, and yes, I want to buy a bow that I'll have for a few years. Why is the cam technology so amazing if your local shop does this on your bow out the door?

    • @xJiFFy04
      @xJiFFy04 18 дней назад

      Because most avid archers prefer to do their own tuning and maintain their own equipment. The new tech just makes it easier to do so.
      That being said, you can easily get numerous years out of any new bow you buy. I just upgraded to a Lift X 33 from a bowtech prodigy that i bought brand new 10 years ago. Still a nice bow, but i want an upgrade. So i put a new string on and set it up to give to my dad.

    It has been said that the honey badger doesn’t give a shit. However, I feel it’s also safe to say that Josh Jones doesn’t give a shit either. As a matter of fact, “MFJJ doesn’t give a shit” sounds like a good tag line 🤔 Haha great review just like all the others - doesn’t matter the manufacturer. Appreciate Josh’s candid honesty.

    Fanboy review again. Strangely, how Mathews always get top reviews. People can claim it's honest but the better the review the more top end bows you sell. Mathews have always been overpriced. And overrated. The grip has sucked for decades.
