- Amber Heard today said it was "incredibly painful" to relieve the "traumatic" details of her split with Johnny Depp at the end of the explosive three-week trial.
The Aquaman star, 34, read a statement outside the High Court where she has accused Depp, 57, of attacking her 14 times over three years.
Wearing a black skirt and top, Heard said she just "wanted to move on with my life" and described her pain at the "traumatic and intimate details" of her life being "broadcast to the entire world".
The actress also said she stands by her testimony as she thanked her legal team, police and the "outpouring" of support from around the world.
It comes after Depp earlier gave out handwritten notes thanking fans for supporting him during the high-profile case.
The brown envelopes contained a black and white bandana similar to the one he has been sporting during the case.

I agree, she’s evil. But there is part of the story that has been under-reported: Though she technically filed for divorce, he’s the one who ended the relationship. And though their relationship was highly volatile, she’s the one who wanted to stick with it and try and make it work. I don’t think he was a “wife beater,” but, perhaps if he would have tried to be a good partner with her, this wouldn’t have happened.

OK I’m going to address something. I know there are a lot of important things going on in the world that need to be addressed. But I worked with people who endured domestic violence and sexual violence for 11 years. I went to court with them. When we pulled up we would be escorted in by the police per the victims request. They would be terrified of having to run into their abuser or be in the same room as their abuser. They would not look at their abuser. They would request the abuser be kept in the court room until they were able to get a head start to their safe place. Also it has taken years to educate the public, police department, the schools, even hospitals, etc., about domestic violence and sexual assault.
So when somebody falsely accuses a person of domestic and sexual violence it diminishes a lot of the hard work that’s been put into educating everyone in the community.. It also destroys the person who has been falsely accused. It destroys their integrity and character. Even when found innocent it follows them for the rest of their life.
On the flip side addiction and mental health, again, needs to be addressed.
Just my take on things. Serious food for thought.
