👍👍👍 .. nice 😊. Yes, the Fancy Feast is lighter, much cheaper .. and will accommodate smaller diameter pots and mugs. My only issue with these types of stoves is their 'on / off' operation .. all or nothing and thus more challenging when one wants to actually 'cook'. Possible and have done, but .. That said, they work well for quick 'cuppa's', soups, 'boil in bags' 'warm-ups' of already-prepared meals (stir, stir, stir to prevent burning), etc. Thanks for sharing .. take care ..
True. If you want to cook the Trangia with the simmer ring is still the best option, that is considering size and weight. Some of the classic alcohol stoves will simmer but by today's standards they are heavy and bulky.
Thanks for your views on this stove; it is one of my favorite alcohol stove as it is very efficient and is easy to reclaim unused fuel from. I call it my Moon Lander.
I just tested, it will fit in the original's pot but not with a cup in the pot. Its a little to high for the lid to fit. The stove only goes about half way into the cup. Its the same with the new cook set. Both pots fit nicely on the stove's pot supports. I'll try and put out a video today on the subject.

Moon Lander, perfect name. 😄
I've considered one of these, but how does a Stanley cup fit? They have that tapered bottom, which makes it a little harder to fit on some pot stands
Yes, smaller diameter pots won't do on this stove .. unfortunately.
