A few weeks later after she passed away I received her yarn (because I was the only one in the family that crochets) and the smell of my grandma was covered all over that yarn. I had a roommate, a bike marathoner, went across the USA twice on it... killed herself right above me in her apartment. Her mother said at the service that it was OK.. .her daughter was FINALLY Out of her misery and depression, that she had suffered her whole life with it, and was finally free. The quite killer( anxiety and being canceled ). Many people feel hopeless right now. I talk to my daughter once a week about any emotions she may have the is causing her pain. We have kept a very open relationship without judgment. I let pick what she wanted to become out of life and support her efforts. But my condolences go out to the family.

I use to be a top athlete at my college also , I thought I had it all . My life was going the way it was supposed to , my parents were proud of me , coaches , friends , people I didn’t know , etc . but deep down I was still wasn’t happy or proud of myself . You'll only know you're purpose by excepting Jesus at your personal Saviour. Asking Him to forgive you of all your sins. And you repent and know HE died on the cross for you. Then you'll be in the book of life. In time HE would guide you so you know you're purpose.

I think alot of the blame lies in the college for tormenting her. They kept sending her letters about a incident where she was said to have stood up for a friend. And that there would be a trial, that said to be what broke the camels back per her parents. Also she recently had knee surgery, from a sports injury I assume, was probably in pain. And I think she had anxiety, which would torment the hell out of me. If the school would have not dragged their feet and maybe just given her a warning I think she would still be alive. What a waste, so sorry for her family

Based on what other sources said, Katie was facing disciplinary actions from a potential trial for helping a friend, likely an “honor” court which is ran by wannabe leader students. I experienced this myself and it was not fair at all. I hope the “court” gets held accountable for their actions. Praying for Katie :(
I’ve been depressed and suicidal before but it was due to extreme circumstances. I’m confused how someone who had it all felt life wasn’t worth living .
One might seem to "have it all," but in reality lack what they really need. To be pretty, to go to a prestigious university, and to be smart does nothing if you lack support, love, a healthy lifestyle, etc. Perhaps she was under too much pressure. Furthermore, if you severe from mental illnesses daily, everything seems to be an extreme and overwhelming.
Mental health is a trip. She probably broke up with a boyfriend or something even small to someone else was big to her and maybe affected her. We don’t know.

I lost my brother on 5-27-21 to suicide, he was battling mental illness, I blame myself everyday I should’ve saved him.

Seeing things like this makes me grateful I survived all of my suicide attempts. I’m so sorry her parents have to go through this and that she lost her battle to depression.

When the mom said she could smell her daughter's scent on her sweater, that just broke my heart. I wish i could go back in time and save her. My heart goes out to the family. Nothing anyone can say can take away the pain, just know you loved her and I'm sure she knew that. I'm so sorry. May God uphold your spirits and know one day you'll see your baby again .

I had a roommate, a bike marathoner, went across the USA twice on it... killed herself right above me in her apartment. Her mother said at the service that it was OK.. .her daughter was FINALLY Out of her misery and depression, that she had suffered her whole life with it, and was finally free. I can only hope for healing and acceptance for the parents, God Bless you Both.
Pressures of school, pressure to perform on the soccer field, pressure to make her parents proud. So many thing contribute to depression.

The quite killer( anxiety and being canceled ). Many people feel hopeless right now. I talk to my daughter once a week about any emotions she may have the is causing her pain. We have kept a very open relationship without judgment. I let pick what she wanted to become out of life and support her efforts. But my condolences go out to the family.

I use to be a top athlete at my college also , I thought I had it all . My life was going the way it was supposed to , my parents were proud of me , coaches , friends , people I didn’t know , etc . but deep down I was still wasn’t happy or proud of myself . I attempted suicide also but thankfully my room mate made it on time to save me ! I’m blessed to still be here and I’m still trying to find my purpose condolences to the family ❤️

You'll only know you're purpose by excepting Jesus at your personal Saviour. Asking Him to forgive you of all your sins. And you repent and know HE died on the cross for you. Then you'll be in the book of life. In time HE would guide you so you know you're purpose.

And as a believer suicide isnt something to be taken lightly, the soul is precious and we should take care of it, no matter how much hardships you go through during this life they wont even be equal to an atom compared to the hardships of the afterlife, and the most tried & afflicted person to ever exist in this life if they were to be admitted in Paradise just for a fraction of a second they will forget all the pain & suffering they went throught on earth.

I think alot of the blame lies in the college for tormenting her. They kept sending her letters about a incident where she was said to have stood up for a friend. And that there would be a trial, that said to be what broke the camels back per her parents. Also she recently had knee surgery, from a sports injury I assume, was probably in pain. And I think she had anxiety, which would torment the hell out of me. If the school would have not dragged their feet and maybe just given her a warning I think she would still be alive. What a waste, so sorry for her family

This story is bizarre how she seemed so happy and all of the sudden take her life I wonder if she left a note, suicide is very sad for the loved left behind they often do not get answers, I saw on CNN that it might have had something to do with an email from the school some bad news but whatever it was too bad she could not talk to her parents about it. Based on what other sources said, Katie was facing disciplinary actions from a potential trial for helping a friend, likely an “honor” court which is ran by wannabe leader students. I experienced this myself and it was not fair at all. I hope the “court” gets held accountable for their actions. Praying for Katie :(

I’ve been depressed and suicidal before but it was due to extreme circumstances. I’m confused how someone who had it all felt life wasn’t worth living .
One might seem to "have it all," but in reality lack what they really need. To be pretty, to go to a prestigious university, and to be smart does nothing if you lack support, love, a healthy lifestyle, etc. Perhaps she was under too much pressure. Furthermore, if you severe from mental illnesses daily, everything seems to be an extreme and overwhelming.
Mental health is a trip. She probably broke up with a boyfriend or something even small to someone else was big to her and maybe affected her. We don’t know.
