The meg forcing gens and unhooks while injured, literally running off the record, (an amazing anti-tunneling perk) and losing it tapping gens, and complaining about tunneling has to be peak dbd player mentality

I can understand if the Meg was in fact tunneled being upset over that. No one like feeling like they don't get to play the game besides be chased out, it's not fun. But, when you choose to stand in the open and not throw pallets or do anything besides attempt to double back to the gen you were working on, you aren't tunneled, you are advertising where you are. The killer is not obligated not to tunnel you if you play like crap. There are times where I have accidentally tunneled because I had a match where all survivors played Claudette in her base outfit, so it was hard for me to track who I hooked already and it ended up that three hooks in a row was the same Claudette. I felt bad because I do not like having to tunnel, because I do not like being tunneled. I do not like being slugged, so I try not to slug. But, sometimes these things are unavoidable.

The fact he had significantly long chases with other survivors to get the hooks on those survivors is what did it. You can also have 3 hooks in a row on the same person and didn't tunnel as well. It is more about focus than hooks.
the feng was non existent to you the entire game, the yun jin threw herself in your arms like 3 times ,the meg was greedy and dropped 1 pallet and didnt even loop you good enough and got down in empty spaces, mikeala was the only decent one to loop and save her teamates. i get tunneling is annoying, but some survivors throw themselves at you and expect you to ignore them and all location info.
If what he did in this video is the measure for "Tunneling"; tunneling is a meaningless term. A killer is not required to hook all survivors once and then all survivors twice. He wasn't even really focused on the Meg at any point. Meg just played bad by sticking to that one generator. Like you could argue he tunneled Mikaela at the end and maybe the Yun-jin, but those are also explained, they basically 3 genned themselves.

in almost every single pvp game there is 100% rules that arent rules. camping in corners for example has always been frowned upon in cod. this is nothing new. its unfun to not get to play the game. spooky did not do that here. but its completely understable to want to play the game you bought. and camping and tunneling denies that. unless theres a god pallet 10 seconds away from the hook.@@liandre9035

People honestly cannot handle losing in this game, I once got downed and the killer just proceeded to bleed me out for some reason and I didn't get mad at him I was more just confused and than was like damn if only I ran unbreakable or another perk I could had been fine, but some people can't do that
I'm 34. Been playing video games since I was a child. Grew up in halo and cod lobbies but DbD "losers" are like nothing I've ever seen before. There are alot of amazing people that play this game but it's almost like a lot of people take a loss or death personally.
If you tunneled the Meg in this game, I never had a match where I wasn't tunneled by the killer. While you can't necessarily argue that tunneling requires 3 back-to-back hooks, you had literally got to the OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP and chased and hooked the Mikaela before hooking Meg again. You chased and hooked Yun-Jin before getting Meg out. Yeah, you could argue that you tunneled both Yun-Jin and Mikaela at the end; but that Feng was playing well. But at that point, both Mikaela and Yun-Jin had been hooked. You aren't required to find Feng before hooking them again. They both had run in front of you. So, at most you had weak tunneling at the end. Seriously, if you wanted to tunnel the Meg out, she would have been out way earlier than she was.
What I love is that the Meg you 'tunnelled' can have a bnp and after every unhook, expose herself to danger to play as efficiently as possible and hop on gens and save in your face while injured and/or dead on hook, but if you go and kill her (even after already having chased someone else...) then you're sweaty? Like don't get me wrong, I'm all for being corteous and upholding some 'standards' to make the game more enjoyable for others, but probably the main reason many killers don't like to do that is because of players like this. They will expect you should not touch them even if they blast gens without even healing because you're supposed to be either a saint or their personal clown who is only there to entertain them and give THEM a fun experience. But why even be kind if it just results in being taken advantage of and worsening your own experience at the expense of a stranger's fun? They should go touch grass or play BG3...
Honestly, as someone who tunnels, camps, genrushes and sluggs all the time if it isnt counter-productive i would probably even do it when DBD had the most wholesome community ever. I used to be tournament player in another game back in my school times, nowdays im a casual or at least average player but i still dont see why i would have my opponent gain ground if i can aswell win. Only times where i hold back is when they are clearly throwing and giving up because of x reason, i have no use my MMR being bloated by easy wins because the survivors didnt do anything, so i try to farm with them and mostly it works well, i get a good amount of BP, my sense of winning is still around and my MMR isnt fucked.
@@liandre9035 Well, yes you're right but what I'm saying is that as a casual player, i don't mind going the extra mile, or at least not go out of my way to tunnel (meaning that if the unhooker takes chase, I'll go for them instead of the person off hook and such) but it does really feel bad when survivors instead of realizing your efforts and being grateful or at least just respectful about it, they take it for granted you should do that at all times while they don't care if them blasting gens will worsen YOUR experience. If the community would be nice and it would go both ways I wouldn't mind even setrimenting myself a bit.

My favorite part about DBD is when I come across a team of subtle cheaters tryharding to win and I still get 2-4 kills on them. If you're gonna cheat at DBD and you don't get 4 survivors out it's equal to losing at the game imo.
The logic behind it usually boils down to how bad it feels to have underhanded tactics used against you, which tunneling is relatively regarded as. Personally I find true tunneling distasteful, but I also find true gen rushing distasteful (bringing hefty toolboxes and perks to support them and allowing teammates to progress hook states while you continue to work gens). I wish we could have a world where neither were a part of this game as it would improve the health of the game substantially.
@@NewSirenSong I mean tunneling can be countered by looping like for example when meg goes down the second time, spooksnjukes said that she had multiple pallets to run to. Tunneling really only works on bad players otherwise you are just restarting a long chase if you’re going against a good survivor but I see what you mean
@@OrangutanKingBabyEater that doesn't really apply for certain killers or is far less effective against them, a nurse that wants to tunnel you isn't going to be stopped by a pallet, same goes for blight, spirit, and many others. Tunneling at its core is problematic as if people can't play a game consistently they'll stop altogether. The same goes for the killer side where limited attempts to chase and hook will push them out of the pool of continuous players. While I do somewhat agree with your sentiment it also doesn't apply if you've been hooked in a dead zone where limited resources will be available and potentially won't be your fault, say if you have the average meg main on your team.

IVE HAD THIS SAME EXACT THING HAPPEN! I was playing as Dredge and was testing a new build on Deathslingers map, forgot the name. Saw a gen pop in the corner behind the nooses so I teleported to a locker nearby. Saw two survivors running from the gen so I began a chase. Hooked one and went in the general direction the other went. Hooked them and left to find the other two, you know normal killer stuff. Well, the other two didnt go for the save and those two survivors were taken by the entity. Next thing I know I get message spammed and party invite spammed. At the end of the game I let one leave because they played well and joined the other two’s party. Mainly joined to say ggs and good luck next game… dang the two children in that party started whining and complaining that I was playing the game wrong and that I was supposed to let them leave. I kid yall not I wish I had a recording of it because it was hilarious
I tried to get adept chucky yesterday. I managed to down two survivor at shack with basement since one was hiding in a locker which I accidentally opened while trying to pick up the survivor on the floor lol. So I had two down in basement. I leave shack to do some patrolling and see a survivor rushing to unhook, so I injure them. While doing so, the other survivor rushes in front of me and I injure them too but instead of going for the unhook for an exchange, they both turn around and flee. I see that as an opportunity to get my adept and down them both in short succession. They made a mistake and I punished them for it... The things they said to me during endgame chat straight up made me stop playing yesterday :( ruined my whole evening. All over a video game. It was so sad how easily people forget that they are talking to human beings....

TBH it's why I mostly wandered away from PvP games. LoL did a number on my mental when it came to competitive video games, so I wandered back into the genre's that I loved.
Indeed DBD is anxiety inducing when you a new player, I remember being scared shitless every game, I was terrible At even doing gens, but when I started playing killer to see how it was I understood how harder it was lmao then I played survivor and had much more success with the games and learning

Around the time when pig released i played her on the game and got flame for no real reaso and then like 3 years later i was playing ark with a friend who found 2 others and he was waiting in vc for me but i couldnt join cuz one of em had me blocked for some reason. There is a reason I personally never say GG when I win because I don't know how the other side is going to feel. And that Wraith is exactly the reason why I don't because it comes across that way. I will initiate a GG if I lost and felt the game was fair. But, I had a survivor go GG EZ while he and his teammates ran meta builds and I had 3 perks going for the adept achievement. I told him in more colorful language to grow up. I bet you can't guess who on the survivors had earned the least blood points either. /sarcasm
I went against Chucky for the first time and he pretty much BMed me. This cause psychological and emotional turmoil that I did everything I could to get that person canceled. In the end, I realized it's just a game and moved on. I still have depression.
I get tilted a lot while playing this game too, but calling another person bad after you lost to them is something I will never understand. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever

Crazy people logic.
The logic behind it usually boils down to how bad it feels to have underhanded tactics used against you, which tunneling is relatively regarded as. Personally I find true tunneling distasteful, but I also find true gen rushing distasteful (bringing hefty toolboxes and perks to support them and allowing teammates to progress hook states while you continue to work gens). I wish we could have a world where neither were a part of this game as it would improve the health of the game substantially.
@@NewSirenSong I mean tunneling can be countered by looping like for example when meg goes down the second time, spooksnjukes said that she had multiple pallets to run to. Tunneling really only works on bad players otherwise you are just restarting a long chase if you’re going against a good survivor but I see what you mean
@@OrangutanKingBabyEater that doesn't really apply for certain killers or is far less effective against them, a nurse that wants to tunnel you isn't going to be stopped by a pallet, same goes for blight, spirit, and many others. Tunneling at its core is problematic as if people can't play a game consistently they'll stop altogether. The same goes for the killer side where limited attempts to chase and hook will push them out of the pool of continuous players. While I do somewhat agree with your sentiment it also doesn't apply if you've been hooked in a dead zone where limited resources will be available and potentially won't be your fault, say if you have the average meg main on your team.
@@NewSirenSong yeah that’s true, deadzones and the big 3 can really make it hard for a survivor to not get tunneled. Really the only thing you can do there is bring off the record I guess. I believe that they should make some changes to the big 3 because they have little to no downsides

IVE HAD THIS SAME EXACT THING HAPPEN! I was playing as Dredge and was testing a new build on Deathslingers map, forgot the name. Saw a gen pop in the corner behind the nooses so I teleported to a locker nearby. Saw two survivors running from the gen so I began a chase. Hooked one and went in the general direction the other went. Hooked them and left to find the other two, you know normal killer stuff. Well, the other two didnt go for the save and those two survivors were taken by the entity. Next thing I know I get message spammed and party invite spammed. At the end of the game I let one leave because they played well and joined the other two’s party. Mainly joined to say ggs and good luck next game… dang the two children in that party started whining and complaining that I was playing the game wrong and that I was supposed to let them leave. I kid yall not I wish I had a recording of it because it was hilarious

Feng should have baited out your call out, finished the gen while you were at Mikaela's hook, and then booked it around for the unhook or the escape.

I tried to get adept chucky yesterday. I managed to down two survivor at shack with basement since one was hiding in a locker which I accidentally opened while trying to pick up the survivor on the floor lol. So I had two down in basement. I leave shack to do some patrolling and see a survivor rushing to unhook, so I injure them. While doing so, the other survivor rushes in front of me and I injure them too but instead of going for the unhook for an exchange, they both turn around and flee. I see that as an opportunity to get my adept and down them both in short succession. They made a mistake and I punished them for it... The things they said to me during endgame chat straight up made me stop playing yesterday :( ruined my whole evening. All over a video game. It was so sad how easily people forget that they are talking to human beings....
If random strangers on the internet that you'll never see again saying mean things to you "ruins your whole evening" you are still mentally a child, and honestly it's extremely pathetic. Either grow up and get some thicker skin or disable chat and stop reading it.

People who get this mad at multiplayer PvP games need to just play single player games. They can be just as fun without the stress and anger.
TBH it's why I mostly wandered away from PvP games. LoL did a number on my mental when it came to competitive video games, so I wandered back into the genre's that I loved.

Same in reverse, I went against a Wraith but I escaped through hatch. He got 3 and still called us noobs and ez game. I simply answered "Grow up".
There is a reason I personally never say GG when I win because I don't know how the other side is going to feel. And that Wraith is exactly the reason why I don't because it comes across that way. I will initiate a GG if I lost and felt the game was fair.
But, I had a survivor go GG EZ while he and his teammates ran meta builds and I had 3 perks going for the adept achievement. I told him in more colorful language to grow up. I bet you can't guess who on the survivors had earned the least blood points either. /sarcasm
