  • Well, I thought it was cool anyways. These soft formations must be rather fleeting once the cap crumbles.

      Nearby. To my mind, this (and Dinosaur) is all part of the vague upland/divide between the White River and the Yampa River that kind of bridges the gap from the Southern Rockies (CO) to the Central Rockies (UT) and forms the northeastern boundary of the Colorado Plateau region. This particular spot is in the Gray Hills.
