thank you for an amazing/beautiful seance of tapping into the genius that is Youth 1/4th of one of thee most important/influential bands in modern rock history (as of since the '60's) and for me on a very personal level, this was ALSO for me a way to deal with the grievance of the tragic loss of The Gunvor; Kevin "Geordie" Walker
Enjoyed this very much, love Killing Joke and many of the bands and artists mentioned, also nice to see Joel, used to pester him a bit on the old Myspace with my KJ obsession.
Fantastic interview. Interesting information regarding the precision bass that youth used to own. It belonged to Algy ward, then bass player of The damned 79/80. The bass in question features in the smash it up video.
Hi man. I'm loving your interview with Youth. Killing Joke are such a unique powerhouse of a band, so influential, so unprecedented. Thanks for that. The reason I'm mailing... you just mentioned Tony Barber. We got to spend a lot of time around Tony and Buzzcocks early/mid 00's, via my friend Nigel. Nige was a good buddy of Tony's but lost contact with him a few years ago. If you would, could you mention Brummie Nige/Taxi Nige to Tony. I know it would rouse a smile. And, if he'd like to get back in-touch with Nige, maybe we could arrange some kind of contact point here. No pressure though. Thanks a lot, Drew. I really appreciate podcasts and your open-minded approach to interviewing your guests. Great stuff. Cheers.
Thanks a lot Drew. They were buddies for quite a while when Tony was playing for Buzzcocks but lost contact along the way. Nige would be stoked to hear from him again. Thanks again and I'll look forward to more great podcasts soon. Cheers.@@stonefilmsnyc
Very good interview. In the late 70s early 80s, an old mate took me round Youth's Earl's Court flat to meet him. He was out.
Thanx Joe.

Killing Joke was never punk. They created their own genre of sonic earth vomiting.
