Yes, Dimentio admitted to Luigi after the latter beat him that he had always intended to betray the count. Even after beating Dimentio for the first time he says he must "ensure the heroes' victory over the count."

Bowser Jr. shouldn't be as high as he is IMO. His entire point seems to be that he's ignorant and assumes he's doing the right thing, that he's the hero and Mario is the villain. Ever since Super Mario Sunshine, he believed Mario was a bully who intentionally tries to ruin his dad's day. Just because he realized Peach isn't his mama at the end of Super Mario Sunshine doesn't mean he realized he is evil. In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, he doesn't realize that he and the Koopalings are villains when the Best Fitness Friends point it out. Plus, he helps find the cure for Blorbs. If not for Bowser Jr., the side plot of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story wouldn't have been solved, the Toads and the Goombas would've still been blorbed up. Bowser Jr. has done some malicious things, but he does so as a result of being misled as opposed to being truly evil. The Koopalings are more evil than Bowser Jr. is, because they actually acknowledge that they're villains in that scene, but don't want to break the bad news to Bowser Jr., knowing his belief that he's the hero.

I feel like Antasma should've been higher because technically, if his plan was successful, he could've forced the entire universe into permanent sleep and given everyone nightmares forever, and then he would only get stronger with every nightmare. Basically, infinite torture. That's pretty messed up stuff. Also, Fawful definitely had one of if not the best plans out of the entire Mario series.
Dimentio should be number 1 most evil, he literally tried to end all life itself for no reason other than the fact that he just wanted to. Yet you didn't even mention it? The Count lied and sort of manipulated some of the members to join him by promising something they'll never get. He can't be redeemed so easily just by joining Team Mario's side to stop Dimentio when he discovered his girlfriend actually isn't dead. And the first Mario VS Donkey Kong game has nothing to do with Pauline. DK just wanted to get his hands on some Mini Mario toys but they were sold out.
Yeah, Smithy, the guy who wanted replaces all wishes in the world with his living weapons and didn't care what destruction that brought.... Considering most mario antagonist are pretty tame, he would have made it pretty high on the list.
Considering Bowser wanted the entire UNIVERSE, he obviously does want the world. He’s probably just starting with the Mushroom Kingdom under the belief that he should start small and work his way up.

Dimentio actually just transported them so they were able to reunite with eachother and obtain the Pure Heart of that world he sent them to. Obviously, he did this for his own gain. However he was quite sadistic with Luigi where it seemed as if he trapped himself and Luigi to die commiting murder-suicide. There is also the part where Dimentio teased that he was going to torture Count Bleck after he was done erasing all worlds.

In a boss fight against Dimentio earlier in the story, Dimentio uses that exact same attack, and if the player character fails to dodge the attack and instead gets trapped in one of the boxes, it is an instant Game Over. Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser, are referred to as having their games ended to due Dimentio's actions. Mario, Luigi, and Bowser, were "transported" to the Under-where, which resembles the Underworld from Greek Mythology in many obvious way down to the name. The Underworld is to Greek mythology as Hell is to Christianity. Princess Peach was transported to the Over-there, which is not only above the Under-where, but it also is a place above the clouds and is populated by angel-like creatures. Therefore, Mario, Luigi, and Bowser were "transported" to the game's version of Hell/the Underworld, and Princess Peach was "transported" to the game's version of Heaven, all by same means that if done to the player character, would give the player a Game Over instantly. The inhabitants of the Under-where say that no one arrives there more than once and says that people go there when they don't have any extra lives. Take a hint.

He’s just one sociopath, the Shroobs are an entire species of sociopaths who on top of that are literally incapable of happiness. Also, the Shroobs were way more openly malicious than him. Dimentio didn’t have a beef with anyone in particular, he just wanted to erase all worlds for his own selfish gain. Dimentio would have committed genocide because he didn’t care, the Shroobs on the other hand would have committed genocide because they cared in the worst possible way. They literally wanted to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom and its inhabitants simply because people were happy there. Also, they turned Toads into fuel and experimented on Yoshis. That’s a special kind of evil right there. What I don’t understand is why he put King Boo above him. In the original Luigi‘s Mansion, King Boo acts in self-defense for the most part(he only became aggressive after E.Gadd captured Boolossus, though the kidnapping thing was still uncalled for) and wants to protect his Boo underlings. Sure, he’s evil, but not more evil than Dimentio. Honestly, the Shroobs and maybe the Shadow Queen are the only villains I‘d put above Dimentio in terms of evilness, simply because they intended to break the world and leave it to bleed out and suffer whereas Dimentio would have put a quick end to everything.
The Shroobs had a far higher kill count and you had more time to see the effects of their actions on-screen. As someone who has played all of the Mario RPGs, the Shroobs were far more disturbing than Dimentio

A bit of clarification with Dimentio and King Boo’s plan in LM3: -Dimentio’s plan to rule all worlds was to continue Bleck’s plan to end all worlds, but recreate them in his own image afterwards. If I had to guess, his original plan was to escape to Dimension D while all the other worlds collapsed, then snatch the Chaos Heart after Bleck died. -King Boo didn’t have much of a plan in LM3. He just sort of went along with Hellen Gravely’s plan to stop Luigi by using some of the ghosts E. Gadd had captured in the past through hiding them in the hotel. Gravely is a fan of King Boo, so he definitely isn’t manipulating her.
I don't think his original plan was to wait and escape, otherwise he probably wouldn't have wanted Mario and co. to defeat the Count. I'm guessing the Chaos Heart would've been destroyed by the Void in the same way the Pure Hearts would, so he might have needed to steal it before the destruction. Then he could've placed it in Dimension D and waited.
I definitely think King Boo was using Hellen Gravely all this time. Hellen was such a fan that she had set up a plan to help him esacpe out of E Gadd's archives by inviting E Gadd to the hotel, and invite Luigi and co. in the process so King Boo can have his revenge. Hellen Gravely, after releasing King Boo, bowed down to her idol and bascially listened to everything he says. Honestly, King Boo doesnt do much in LM3; he orders Hellen and her servants to kill/capture Luigi while he tries saving his friends that King Boo had trapped. After all of Hellen's failures to kill/capture Luigi, King Boo basically goes "fine I'll do it myself" and fails as well, being captured for a third time. But LM3 doesnt make King Boo a bad villain; LM1 and Dark Moon (especially Dark Moon) made him a much better villain

Count Bleck is actually a sympathetic villain. He treats his employees like actual people even when they lose, he even has a sad conversation. He is also not even an actual villain
Princess shrob is one evil person. Like really that got dark really quickly and she should have gotten a worst punishment for her crimes. The yoshi one was just horrible.

Also if you have played the game then you know that she also tried to make petey piranha eat the bros since she knew they would chase after it if it swallowed peach (which the shroobs then somehow got out of petey b4 the bros came) they then gave peach the "parasite" which wasn't a parasite since it was all a disguise for princess shroob to infiltrate peach's castle without alerting any toads. Also elder princess shroob talks as the star sprite on star hill where it has a calm voice as if it is actually trying to help them, while it helps them find the crystal star shards that are left, in the end it turns out to be... elder princess shroob (which btw has an epic freaking theme) the final boss. Which after you think you beat it she then shows it was only the start of the fight... after that she activates her crown? Idk something something release purple gas makes peach unconcious starts the epic theme and the final fight begins... Ty if you read all of this :)

Yes I agree she was evil. But a lot of people are actually somewhat sympathetic of the Shroobs as a whole. Their civilization was in danger. Personally, I don't really show any sympathy, as they did destroy (or kill) their planet, and they could of just came in peace... But no, they caused absolute mayhem, abducting civilians, destroying and looting towns.

I think the Best Fitness Friends deserved their own spot in this video. -- *SPOILERS* of Bowser Jr.'s Journey -- They work for Fawful at the beginning, but plan to betray him later. They used Bowser's army to help them create the Malatone Formula:X, which they use to turn Bowser's minions to violent slaves at their service. So they plan to create an army of Malatone infused minions, then to betray Fawful in order to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom. Once the Malatone is ready, they try to literally kill Bowser Jr., with the help of one of his former minion, now under the Malatone influence, Morton. (And once they're about to be defeated, they also take Malatone in order to win, and when that's not enough, they fuse and take even more Malatone, becoming a violent and mindless beast, just to win. That's quite twisted.)
I think Wart could be a literal "King Of Dreams". My theory is that he appears in other's dreams to help solve or fufill a role within their Dreams so they can wake up. He appears in Links dream to help him defeat the wind fish, because as you said, he is required to beat the game. In Mario's dream, he serves as the antagonist, not because he's necesarilly evil, byt because Mario didnt really have a face to put on a king of a distant land. Sure, Bowser could work, but most enemies in Mario USA are completely foreign to the Mushroom kingdom, even in modern entrees, and dont tend to serve under Bowser directly. It'd make sense for Wart to appear and fill that role.

Even with his final breath, he left a shadow of his power behind so that it would all still be destroyed even with him dead, forcing Lumiere and Timpani to sacrifice themselves. That’s how dedicated Dimentio was to the death of all worlds (also, it’s implied that the afterlives [Underwhere and Overthere] would’ve been destroyed too, meaning nobody would have an afterlife, they’d just be gone).
Honestly, Dimentio should've been higher. As he wanted to end all worlds and then create new ones from the ashes, like a new god. And King Boo isn't too bad. He may do horrible things, but just like Bowser, he'll still play go-karts and baseball with the bros.
Gvon64 I mean it didn’t appear in games like Super Mario Sunshine or Super Princess Peach, in both of which he is an antagonist. I honestly just think he uses the jewel in his much larger schemes (aka the Luigi’s Mansion games) because it makes him stronger, and he needs to be at his best for his best plans.

Okay, wart headcanon time, i think wart plays the role of whatever someone wants. Like mario after the adventures of the original and lost levels he wanted more adventure and wart turned into a bad guy, and link wanted a helping hand so wart became the owner of a magic song

He was *probably* bluffing, given that his big plan was to sacrifice Peach to serve as a host for the Shadow Queen (and Peach probably needed to be alive for that, given how much Grodus focuses making sure Peach is unharmed up until the sacrifice). Of course, sacrificing a human against her will to serve as body for an ancient demon is still pretty damn evil for a Mario game villain.

I don't think King Boo deserves a spot in the top 5. Although he is powerful and evil, pretty much all of his evil-doing is concentrated on the small group of minor characters. His actions never have wide-reaching implications for the rest of the mushroom kingdom. Instead, I'd give his spot to Dimentio, who did quite a bit more than this video implies. He manged to trick our gang of hero's into believing they were dead when he sent them to The Underwhere (on in Peach's case, The Overthere). He manipulated events behind Count Bleck's back right from the very start to ensure everything went the way he planed it to. He even had the power to create his own Dimension. He was a crafty, intelligent and talented trickster. Dimentio was powerful, and had an agenda. this makes him much more dangerous than King Boo, who only scares a few people for the fun of it. Dimentio wanted to outright kill every living person.
You forgot the Dark Star itself, that "thing" was a character and incarnation of evil itself, Altough even i'd still argue about its placement I would have still putten it in and at least in the Top 3.
I think either Dementio or Shadow Queen should have been 1st. Dementio wanted to end existence itself, and the Shadow Queen is literally a 1000 year old Demon that was magically sealed away for “throwing the world into the depths of terror.”
Well, I would ask where Smithy and the Smithy Gang are here, but hey, you explained it at the end. Either way, I suspect they'll rank pretty high on a future list, since they were pretty damn evil in Super Mario RPG. Depends a bit on the members in question though, the likes of Mack or the Axem Rangers are arguably a bit less evil/more comical than someone like Yaridovich or Smithy himself. But I also think you should have included the following two villains/villain groups on the list too: 1. The Megabug from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. It possesses Bowser, and it's hard to tell how much of a personality it has, but it's technically an independent Mario villain none the less. 2. The Best Fitness Friends from Bowser Jr's Journey. They start out as mercenaries working for Fawful, but eventually betray him and act as independent villains in their own right, brainwashing the kingdom's population with Malatone Formula X and attempting to take over the kingdom in the process. So I think those two would make sense as separate entries on a list like this (or a future one).
Tatanga was revealed in SML2 to be Warios minion, with his invading of Sarasa land being a distraction so Wario could take Mario's castle. Tatanga is the boss of the space world.

I would have outright replaced King Boo with Smithy from Super Mario RPG. That guy was so much worse. Not saying King Boo isn’t evil but he’s more of a cruel joker by comparison.Smithy was so bad that Bowser had to team up with Mario to beat him.
I can see why Wart is on that Zelda game because there’s this Mario game called Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions that has some Zelda stuff in it and there’s probably more Mario games that has Zelda stuff or something
Actually, I am pretty sure why Wart appeared in Link’s Awakening is because it was a dream, so it would make sense to put him in, it’s not because there was Zelda references in M&LSS as that came after LA.

The broodals are WEDDING PLANNERS that Bowser hires. Thats why they go around and help Bowser steal all of the items from the kingdoms, and try to stop mario- because mario is trying to prevent the wedding that they were hired to plan. Not a theory, fact
He somewhat downplayed Antasma by saying that he didn't directly murder anybody but he still caused somewhat genocide to the Pi'illos right before he was about to be vaporized away into Dream's Deep. All the Pi'illos were imprisoned where they weren't able to move, speak, or even think because of the nightmare chunks.
I disagree. The broodals are definitely evil, but the koopalings are worse. The broodals are trying to plan a wedding, and try to kill Mario to get him out of their way, but the koopalings are attacking Mario just for the reason of “the boss doesn’t like him.”

Count bleck actually had a reason, and while it wasnt a good reason, he still had one, Dimentio really didnt And when Lumiere was defeated and found out that Timpani didnt die, he redeemed himself and teamed up with the heroes to stop Dimentio once and for all, also, Dimentio, even when he was defeated, still didnt give up and still wanted to cause destruction Bleck was also quite loyal to his allies, including Dimentio, but Dimentio still wanted to kill everyone and everything and even his allies His new perfect worlds wouldnt be that perfect, infact, they would be a complete opposite, judging by Dimentios personality Bleck just wanted to stay the universe destroyed cuz he didnt get to see Timpani after he got seperated by his abusive father, not the best reason, but Dimentio wanted to do it for fun and power
Bonus villain: King Olly (Spoiler alert!) He basically wants nothing more than all Toads becoming scrap paper using the 1000 crane technique. He's a bit of a madman, I know, his motive being the desire of Toad extinction through origami for the actions of his creator, a Toad (The Origami Craftsman himself to be specific). That'd put his rank a little lower than the rest, but, what he lacks in directive, he excels in hiring deadly henchmen like the Legion of Stationery (A bunch of tools that King Olly (Except for the Stapler) sent to guard all 5 streamers). Why? Because one of them stands out from the world that his boss & creator (And probably his sensei 'cuz I see him as a swordsman who plays ninja in said world) brought him into. That, my friend, is none other than *THE* Scissors himself. He also excels in strategy by being productive (fulfilling his goal whilst mastering the vast properties of paper in his spare time before Mario & Olivia break into his castle). My Ranking of Top 10 Evil Mario Villains 10. Bowser Jr and the Koopalings- Follows Bowser's orders and can be tougher than they appear. 9. Bowser- Can be cruel when he wants to be, Paper Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy are examples of that, but in general is usually not very intimating. 8. Cackletta- an evil witch that wanted to rule the world with her beans. 7. Antasma- an evil bat that wanted to rule dreamworld. 6. The black paint from Color Splash- Corrupted lots of things in the game like Toads, and specifically Bowser. The black paint caused Bowser's personality to be just cruel, with no sympathy of others. 5. Fawful- Also wanted to rule the world with beans. 4. Grodus- Is a dick that wanted to rule the world with his team of x-nauts. 3. Princess Shroom- Harmed lots of toads and other creatures with her shrooms, wanted world power with her alien race. 2. Dimentio- Wanted to destroy all worlds and recreate them in his desire. 1. The Shadow Queen- She's literally a 1000 year demon that wanted to enslave everyone, and rule as a cruel dictator, and killed/tortured anyone that defined her.

Okay, you're hyping him up a bit too much. Antasma never had control of any sort of enemies. Antasma only was able to summon portals to the nightmare worlds. All the other things you said doesn't make him evil but rather powerful.
He didn't really do much for himself though. He did help Bowser with getting thr dream stone, he seemed to think of him as an equal. When Bowser got all the use he needed out of Antasma, he literally threw him away.

Bowser Jr. shouldn't be as high as he is IMO. His entire point seems to be that he's ignorant and assumes he's doing the right thing, that he's the hero and Mario is the villain. Ever since Super Mario Sunshine, he believed Mario was a bully who intentionally tries to ruin his dad's day. Just because he realized Peach isn't his mama at the end of Super Mario Sunshine doesn't mean he realized he is evil. In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, he doesn't realize that he and the Koopalings are villains when the Best Fitness Friends point it out. Plus, he helps find the cure for Blorbs. If not for Bowser Jr., the side plot of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story wouldn't have been solved, the Toads and the Goombas would've still been blorbed up. Bowser Jr. has done some malicious things, but he does so as a result of being misled as opposed to being truly evil. The Koopalings are more evil than Bowser Jr. is, because they actually acknowledge that they're villains in that scene, but don't want to break the bad news to Bowser Jr., knowing his belief that he's the hero.

I feel like Antasma should've been higher because technically, if his plan was successful, he could've forced the entire universe into permanent sleep and given everyone nightmares forever, and then he would only get stronger with every nightmare. Basically, infinite torture. That's pretty messed up stuff.

Dimentio actually just transported them so they were able to reunite with eachother and obtain the Pure Heart of that world he sent them to. Obviously, he did this for his own gain. However he was quite sadistic with Luigi where it seemed as if he trapped himself and Luigi to die commiting murder-suicide.
There is also the part where Dimentio teased that he was going to torture Count Bleck after he was done erasing all worlds.

Therefore, Mario, Luigi, and Bowser were "transported" to the game's version of Hell/the Underworld, and Princess Peach was "transported" to the game's version of Heaven, all by same means that if done to the player character, would give the player a Game Over instantly. The inhabitants of the Under-where say that no one arrives there more than once and says that people go there when they don't have any extra lives. Take a hint.

Just because his plan would have had the largest impact doesn’t mean the Shroobs aren’t more evil than him though. He’s just one sociopath, the Shroobs are an entire species of sociopaths who on top of that are literally incapable of happiness. Also, the Shroobs were way more openly malicious than him. Dimentio didn’t have a beef with anyone in particular, he just wanted to erase all worlds for his own selfish gain. Dimentio would have committed genocide because he didn’t care, the Shroobs on the other hand would have committed genocide because they cared in the worst possible way. They literally wanted to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom and its inhabitants simply because people were happy there. Also, they turned Toads into fuel and experimented on Yoshis. That’s a special kind of evil right there.
What I don’t understand is why he put King Boo above him. In the original Luigi‘s Mansion, King Boo acts in self-defense for the most part(he only became aggressive after E.Gadd captured Boolossus, though the kidnapping thing was still uncalled for) and wants to protect his Boo underlings. Sure, he’s evil, but not more evil than Dimentio. Honestly, the Shroobs and maybe the Shadow Queen are the only villains I‘d put above Dimentio in terms of evilness, simply because they intended to break the world and leave it to bleed out and suffer whereas Dimentio would have put a quick end to everything.
The Shroobs had a far higher kill count and you had more time to see the effects of their actions on-screen. As someone who has played all of the Mario RPGs, the Shroobs were far more disturbing than Dimentio

A bit of clarification with Dimentio and King Boo’s plan in LM3:
-Dimentio’s plan to rule all worlds was to continue Bleck’s plan to end all worlds, but recreate them in his own image afterwards. If I had to guess, his original plan was to escape to Dimension D while all the other worlds collapsed, then snatch the Chaos Heart after Bleck died.
-King Boo didn’t have much of a plan in LM3. He just sort of went along with Hellen Gravely’s plan to stop Luigi by using some of the ghosts E. Gadd had captured in the past through hiding them in the hotel. Gravely is a fan of King Boo, so he definitely isn’t manipulating her.
I don't think his original plan was to wait and escape, otherwise he probably wouldn't have wanted Mario and co. to defeat the Count. I'm guessing the Chaos Heart would've been destroyed by the Void in the same way the Pure Hearts would, so he might have needed to steal it before the destruction. Then he could've placed it in Dimension D and waited.
I definitely think King Boo was using Hellen Gravely all this time. Hellen was such a fan that she had set up a plan to help him esacpe out of E Gadd's archives by inviting E Gadd to the hotel, and invite Luigi and co. in the process so King Boo can have his revenge. Hellen Gravely, after releasing King Boo, bowed down to her idol and bascially listened to everything he says. Honestly, King Boo doesnt do much in LM3; he orders Hellen and her servants to kill/capture Luigi while he tries saving his friends that King Boo had trapped. After all of Hellen's failures to kill/capture Luigi, King Boo basically goes "fine I'll do it myself" and fails as well, being captured for a third time.
But LM3 doesnt make King Boo a bad villain; LM1 and Dark Moon (especially Dark Moon) made him a much better villain

Also if you have played the game then you know that she also tried to make petey piranha eat the bros since she knew they would chase after it if it swallowed peach (which the shroobs then somehow got out of petey b4 the bros came) they then gave peach the "parasite" which wasn't a parasite since it was all a disguise for princess shroob to infiltrate peach's castle without alerting any toads.
Also elder princess shroob talks as the star sprite on star hill where it has a calm voice as if it is actually trying to help them, while it helps them find the crystal star shards that are left, in the end it turns out to be... elder princess shroob (which btw has an epic freaking theme) the final boss. Which after you think you beat it she then shows it was only the start of the fight... after that she activates her crown? Idk something something release purple gas makes peach unconcious starts the epic theme and the final fight begins...

Nope, they’re both alive. In BIS DX, you can clearly see both of them in the ice during the secret Shroob boss battle. They were likely intended to return in a future game, but since AlphaDream went bankrupt, we won’t be getting that game.

They work for Fawful at the beginning, but plan to betray him later.
They used Bowser's army to help them create the Malatone Formula:X, which they use to turn Bowser's minions to violent slaves at their service.
So they plan to create an army of Malatone infused minions, then to betray Fawful in order to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom.
Once the Malatone is ready, they try to literally kill Bowser Jr., with the help of one of his former minion, now under the Malatone influence, Morton.
(And once they're about to be defeated, they also take Malatone in order to win, and when that's not enough, they fuse and take even more Malatone, becoming a violent and mindless beast, just to win. That's quite twisted.)
I think Wart could be a literal "King Of Dreams". My theory is that he appears in other's dreams to help solve or fufill a role within their Dreams so they can wake up. He appears in Links dream to help him defeat the wind fish, because as you said, he is required to beat the game. In Mario's dream, he serves as the antagonist, not because he's necesarilly evil, byt because Mario didnt really have a face to put on a king of a distant land. Sure, Bowser could work, but most enemies in Mario USA are completely foreign to the Mushroom kingdom, even in modern entrees, and dont tend to serve under Bowser directly. It'd make sense for Wart to appear and fill that role.

He was *probably* bluffing, given that his big plan was to sacrifice Peach to serve as a host for the Shadow Queen (and Peach probably needed to be alive for that, given how much Grodus focuses making sure Peach is unharmed up until the sacrifice).
Of course, sacrificing a human against her will to serve as body for an ancient demon is still pretty damn evil for a Mario game villain.

Best thing about Grodus is how meticulous he was. Whereas he orders his units to treat Peach with care and supervision so that she could have a false sense of comfortability even while knowing herself as the main host for a huge malicious project.

I don't think King Boo deserves a spot in the top 5. Although he is powerful and evil, pretty much all of his evil-doing is concentrated on the small group of minor characters. His actions never have wide-reaching implications for the rest of the mushroom kingdom.
Instead, I'd give his spot to Dimentio, who did quite a bit more than this video implies. He manged to trick our gang of hero's into believing they were dead when he sent them to The Underwhere (on in Peach's case, The Overthere). He manipulated events behind Count Bleck's back right from the very start to ensure everything went the way he planed it to. He even had the power to create his own Dimension. He was a crafty, intelligent and talented trickster. Dimentio was powerful, and had an agenda. this makes him much more dangerous than King Boo, who only scares a few people for the fun of it. Dimentio wanted to outright kill every living person.
Interesting… wanna hear my theory about Dimentio’s origins? It should add another crime to his list.

I think either Dementio or Shadow Queen should have been 1st. Dementio wanted to end existence itself, and the Shadow Queen is literally a 1000 year old Demon that was magically sealed away for “throwing the world into the depths of terror.”
Well, I would ask where Smithy and the Smithy Gang are here, but hey, you explained it at the end. Either way, I suspect they'll rank pretty high on a future list, since they were pretty damn evil in Super Mario RPG. Depends a bit on the members in question though, the likes of Mack or the Axem Rangers are arguably a bit less evil/more comical than someone like Yaridovich or Smithy himself.
But I also think you should have included the following two villains/villain groups on the list too:
1. The Megabug from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. It possesses Bowser, and it's hard to tell how much of a personality it has, but it's technically an independent Mario villain none the less.
2. The Best Fitness Friends from Bowser Jr's Journey. They start out as mercenaries working for Fawful, but eventually betray him and act as independent villains in their own right, brainwashing the kingdom's population with Malatone Formula X and attempting to take over the kingdom in the process.
So I think those two would make sense as separate entries on a list like this (or a future one).

Tatanga was revealed in SML2 to be Warios minion, with his invading of Sarasa land being a distraction so Wario could take Mario's castle. Tatanga is the boss of the space world.

He somewhat downplayed Antasma by saying that he didn't directly murder anybody but he still caused somewhat genocide to the Pi'illos right before he was about to be vaporized away into Dream's Deep. All the Pi'illos were imprisoned where they weren't able to move, speak, or even think because of the nightmare chunks.
I dont really know if this should be considered as Antasma or Bowser's crime,problably both.

I would personally say that the shroobs are some of the least evil if you see it from their perspectives
count bleck and dimentio should definitely be higher. they threatened the existence of the entire universe, which is much more than any other mario villain can say. the fact that dimentio has no motive at all and is just purely psycho should have put him at number 1.
Count bleck actually had a reason, and while it wasnt a good reason, he still had one, Dimentio really didnt
And when Lumiere was defeated and found out that Timpani didnt die, he redeemed himself and teamed up with the heroes to stop Dimentio once and for all, also, Dimentio, even when he was defeated, still didnt give up and still wanted to cause destruction
Bleck was also quite loyal to his allies, including Dimentio, but Dimentio still wanted to kill everyone and everything and even his allies
His new perfect worlds wouldnt be that perfect, infact, they would be a complete opposite, judging by Dimentios personality
Bleck just wanted to stay the universe destroyed cuz he didnt get to see Timpani after he got seperated by his abusive father, not the best reason, but Dimentio wanted to do it for fun and power

He basically wants nothing more than all Toads becoming scrap paper using the 1000 crane technique. He's a bit of a madman, I know, his motive being the desire of Toad extinction through origami for the actions of his creator, a Toad (The Origami Craftsman himself to be specific). That'd put his rank a little lower than the rest, but, what he lacks in directive, he excels in hiring deadly henchmen like the Legion of Stationery (A bunch of tools that King Olly (Except for the Stapler) sent to guard all 5 streamers). Why? Because one of them stands out from the world that his boss & creator (And probably his sensei 'cuz I see him as a swordsman who plays ninja in said world) brought him into. That, my friend, is none other than *THE* Scissors himself. He also excels in strategy by being productive (fulfilling his goal whilst mastering the vast properties of paper in his spare time before Mario & Olivia break into his castle). I'd like to put him in the "redeemed" category (If it even exists).

10. Bowser Jr and the Koopalings- Follows Bowser's orders and can be tougher than they appear.
9. Bowser- Can be cruel when he wants to be, Paper Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy are examples of that, but in general is usually not very intimating.
8. Cackletta- an evil witch that wanted to rule the world with her beans.
7. Antasma- an evil bat that wanted to rule dreamworld.
6. The black paint from Color Splash- Corrupted lots of things in the game like Toads, and specifically Bowser. The black paint caused Bowser's personality to be just cruel, with no sympathy of others.
5. Fawful- Also wanted to rule the world with beans.
4. Grodus- Is a dick that wanted to rule the world with his team of x-nauts.
3. Princess Shroom- Harmed lots of toads and other creatures with her shrooms, wanted world power with her alien race.
2. Dimentio- Wanted to destroy all worlds and recreate them in his desire.
1. The Shadow Queen- She's literally a 1000 year demon that wanted to enslave everyone, and rule as a cruel dictator, and killed/tortured anyone that defined her.

Okay, you're hyping him up a bit too much. Antasma never had control of any sort of enemies. Antasma only was able to summon portals to the nightmare worlds. All the other things you said doesn't make him evil but rather powerful.
He didn't really do much for himself though. He did help Bowser with getting thr dream stone, he seemed to think of him as an equal. When Bowser got all the use he needed out of Antasma, he literally threw him away.

Something happened to Galacta Knight. Shown in Super Kirby Clash he was one of the heroes who sealed Void Termina and notice how he has different phases. You fight Galacta Knight (Light) and you fight him again as (Dark) So something must've taken him over.
The villain who wants to commit total omnicide and lies to his cohorts about making the universe a utopia is only halfway through the list... To be fair, he does it out of anguish, not malice.
