Before RD era, shankar jaikishan were emperors in hindi film music. They remained king from 1949 to 1970. Then jaikishan expired untimely and their magic too. SD burman and madan mohan were also the greatest music directors in various aspects. Madan mohan was a genius but unfortunately he did not have got his dues when he, was alive. But, now he is supposed to be one of the finest music directors of all time due to his amazing and exceptionally well created tunes.

He composed over 2000 songs in Hindi & Bengali, he gave music in 311 Hindi films and was well versed in classical music besides he had knowledge of jazz, Mozart, Beethoven, Arabian, Latin American music patterns.
That"s why he is still relevant today and most researched music director by many foundations and music lovers.
