- I watch the dance video
- I love it
- I believe that if those kids can do it, I can too
- So, I look for the tutorial
- I try the first steps
- I fail
- I try again
- I fail, again
- I get stressed
- I try to do it one more time
- Then I get frustrated
- I try but without any energy or enthusiasm
- I give up
- And finally, I eat some ice cream to feel better with myself
At first, I think I can, because, I LOOVE HIP HOP. There isn't other type of dance I like. I try with all my illusion those moves and then I fail. Why??

3)Tried again and learnt the first step.
4) Tried second step couldn't do it gave up then tried second step again then gave up and the last time I did it.. and tried not to give up.. :)

Benedita Vicente LokiCraZe ***** dancing is in the first line about having fun with it. If you like and enjoy it, no matter how bad you might look in the beginning to others, you're on the right path. I started off dancing a few years back and would literally fall over trying to do half a semi-turn (not even a whole one!). And look at me now, i'm actually teaching others to dance! Wanna know my secret? Plain out loving it and continuing, no matter how stupid i might have looked sometimes (and still sometimes do trying to do new stuff). With practice, you'll be just as good as you want to be!

Benedita Vicente You are not a bad dancer, it's just you're own style. Never let someone tell you are dancing wrong, because everyone has their own style.

This is so embarrassing I've been trying to learn the dance for weeks and while I know the moves without music, I'm struggling when the music on and picking up the pace. Any tips for a complete beginner?
I have just found this video, never begun dance before, I am motivated and shall support my fellow beginners, I'll continue to learn, you have got a head start but if you don't keep trying I'll eventually surpass you. Stay motivated and make it your dance, that's what all the pros say ;)

when your doing the dance without the music try thinking of the song in you head as your doing it
+CUT3FRI3NDLY Do each steps that suppose for each part of the song. Pause, repeat the steps for the part of the song till u improved it. Go to next part. So u can work each part seperately to the dance.
We did it during my hip hop classes when i was much more younger then what i am now. c:
Then if u are sure you remembered everything on each seperately part of the song to the dance. Then play the whole song and do all the parts together.
+CUT3FRI3NDLY make sure you know EVERY single move 100% then when you know every move slowly start doing them faster and faster little by little. then put it all together and you will be at a good pace with the song. believe it or not this is absolutly one of his easiest dances EVER
Thank you so much for the dance tutorial. Though it look hard to do at first but after practicing a lot, i'm sure i'll do better.. 😊 Don't lose hope guys. it's just the beginning. This all steps are hard to learn in one day but Practice by separating steps by steps and it'll go easy.. I did the same and i'm almost at the end of this tutorial.. Hope this helps you all.
And remember, Dance is all about fun, it's not something you should be perfect. Enjoy all of the steps rather than getting depressed and hopeless 😉 you'll find it way enjoyable! 💖

Never danced a day in my life...trying to learn this tutorial is living hell rn....... but its a great routine!
I may have some dancing history (very limited, mind you) and may not be naturally skilled or endowed, but a week and a half in (four times going along with the video), I'm already starting to get these dance moves and the whole routine down. Provided I have a lot of kinks to fix, but I'm impressed! So for those of you that think this is hard, keep at it. It'll get easier the more you practice at it. I'm loving this, as its a fun exercise that works the whole body but doesn't injure my shoulders or back!
I usually hate dance tutorials because the person is facing you so you do it on the wrong step but you were facing the mirror I LOVE THIS DANCE thank you so much!!!!!
I learnt this dance without the music but when i played it with the music, I was all over the place hahaha
I understand that some people are findin this too hard, like me, so if you want to learn hip hop or get a base so you can later do this, i reccomend you checking out: Easy Hip Hop Dance Tutorial | Danielle Peazer
And basically she takes you through the steps REALLY slowly and then if you are ready she goes crazy fast but aftr wathing the slow part like 15 times, I mastered the fast part. And if you like it then try to do on Awesomness TV there is this video called Jordan Jones top 10 faveourite dance moves, and this girl called Jordon shows you her fave dance moves then at the end she combines them all toghether and its relly fun and its super easy :)

Okay, Im scrolling down through the comment section and everyone is thinking negative about themselves. Look, I am a beginner in dancing hip-hop and stuff like these, I always put my heart on what I do and think positive. At first, you may fail but never think you can never do it because if we keep on trying, we slowly succeed, and my tip is make up your own moves and make sure youre enjoying your dance and my second tip is make sure youre happy so that your day would be awesome and you can dance like theres no tomorrow! Brighten up guys! I hope I helped you, Im sorry if I have bad grammar, I am only 11 years old and not American/British.

Everyone in the comments is talking about how he needed to slow down, but he repeats all the steps a couple times and you can always rewind it or start it over. It's super easy if you break it into sections.

Makena Winters I think you should learn the song and as Matt said, while dancing you try to match your moves to the lyrics. You'll easily remember it this way. It definitely helped me :) Good luck!

I took ballroom dance classes and realised I loved dancing so now I am really into hip-hop dancing and super excited to learn all this.

This was really hard to learn it took me like 1 and a half hours(I'm a begginer) but this was pretty hard for begginer level
I haven't done a dance routine in over 10 years. Took me 40 rewinds to get the moves right, and 2 days to remember them in order. Day 3 I should be able to knock it out. Thanks for sharing!!

The #1 key to dance is confidence. Start small and work up don't start on advanced of course. When I first started I realized that if you're confident it improves your performance. Don't quit! :)

I Wanna Do Hiphop So Badly But Im Afriad People Will Judge Me Since Im Really Skinny And I Look Like A Twig When I Dance :/
EpicPinnaples ‹3 Don't be afraid of what people will think of you because once you get better and better they'll end of being jealous and wishing they could dance as awesome as you do! I know a lot of skinny people that dance sooooooooo good. If you are just truly afraid of being judged you could try wearing baggy pants and a dark sweater or something. Trust me, I dance and my arms are really skinny, but i love dancing and it makes me happy. Nobody has ever judged me about it and I love hip hop. When dancing, think only about your movements and your emotions, NOT everyone else watching you and you'll do fine! :) Good Luck!

dont give up guys...been try many times just for a day and i did! here's the things, if u couldnt get the step go to setting, click the speed and change it to 0.5 or 0.25 to slow it down so that u can follow the step easily, im sure u will did great :) x

This is the first routine I haven't given up on (YAY ME!!!!) But more importantly Thanks Matt. The Instructions were really clear and at times you made me laugh although I don't think that was the aim of the video but its was worth watching and learning. Hopefully someday I will be able to come to L.A and take class and eventually meet you in person.
