Vicky has had enough of Arthur’s cruelty. So, one day, she finally decided to escape him. She woke up early in the morning and was ready to just leave. But she noticed that Arthur’s hand was firmly grasping her hair. Yet, she wouldn’t allow this to mess with her plan. She took a pair of scissors and carefully cut off her own hair to get free. Very quietly, she put on some clothes, grabbed the keys, and bolted.
Unfortunately, Arthur woke up soon after. He understood what happened, but he was eerily calm. He knew he could easily find Vicky, as he’d put a tracker on her phone.

This is one of the reasons why many girls preferred to have shorter hair.

I'm pretty sure a woman who thought ahead enough to keep her hair short for this very reason would be resourceful enough not to be in this situation to begin with, or strong enough to extract herself regardless of the length of her hair.

No kidding. So, rather than get out of a relationship that had gotten that bad, you'd be fine with just "Oh, I'll stay for the abuse, but I'll cut my hair short so he can't restrain me with it. Yeah, that'll show him!" I don't think so.
As I said, if she's resourceful enough to give it that much thought, she should have what it takes to get out altogether. I certainly hope you would.
