One thing that you missed is the Russian historical sites in Sitka other than St. Michael's. There is an memorial for the Russian Sailors and Aleut Hunters from 1804; the Baranof Castle Hill State Historic Site etc. Sitka was the Provincial Capital of Alaska when it was ruled by Russia, and this is the place where the "change hands" happened. There was a local Russian heritage dance group that performed traditional Russian dances at the community hall. And last, but nit least, you mentioned the Park trails, but did you know that it is part of the Tongass Rainforest? Yes! That is a rain forest in Alaska.
