- Recap of all 10 songs of Melodifestivalen 1984, the Swedish national selection for Eurovision Song Contest. Please, enjoy!
Melodifestivalen 1984 was the selection for the 24th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 23rd time that this system of picking a song had been used. 90 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The final was held in the Lisebergshallen in Gothenburg on 25 February 1984, presented by Fredrik Belfrage and was broadcast on TV1 but was not broadcast on radio. Herreys went on to win that year's Eurovision Song Contest in Luxembourg; Sweden's second Eurovision win.

Elisabeth Andreassen must have been like "no qualification?! Wait till next year.."
To be honest the reason why I am watching this video is for diggi-loo diggi-ley
Seems to be the last year in MF they had microphones with long wires (just a fun fact 🙂).
Btw, in my opinion, Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley is one of the catchiest winners in ESC history.
Was this in the same venue of Eurovision 1985? The stage have some similar elements.
Same city, not the same venue. This is Lisebergshallen. Eurovision 1985 was in Scandinavium.
But they most likely recycled the MF84 stage for ESC 1985.
@@paulojrneto for sure ! So similar !
@@paulojrneto You can actually see some evolution in stage elements throughout the 70s and 80s editions that lead up to the 85 Eurovision stage. In a way it was a very typical SVT stage 😂 MF 84 is basically the same stage indeed. Even down to the camera angles.
@@paulojrneto Indeed and the jingle too!
Great top 5
You know what would be good with these MF videos, is to put something about the singers what happened to them after like Anders Glenmark sang the chorus in Murray Head’s One Night In Bangkok with his brother, Karin.
Did they use the same stage as when they hosted in 1985?
Is there any truth in the rumour Kärleksmagi (the melody of) was originally going to be used as a Bond theme?
Yes it is true but it eventually got rejected
What the year.
1984 the herreys won and wins eurovision 1984 with diggi Lo diggi Ley
