    Nice work on the plane setup. Quick question on the 2nd blade/chip breaker. Western planes have it set approx 1mm from tip of the cutting blade.
    Please tell ... How close should it be set for Japanese planes?

      The setup is the same in Japan.
      It is about 0.5 to 1 mm.

    I hope its not to late to to ask if you know other alternatives to the plane used to sharpen the bottem of another plane
    Or maybe info on the angle of the blade or other ways to do the task. Much love. Good day.

      Planes do exist for sharpening the bottom of planes.
      Someday, I will make a video introducing various Japanese planes.

    I am repidly coming to the conclusion that the best carpentry tools in the world are japanese and thant the best carpenters in the world are japanes.
