Great vid alex ta for sharing, some lovely 50s there, always have a soft spot for the 56 though, nice shot of the High speed stuff, and a whizzo, good ole champ....and that railcar looked quaint, the 180 looked nice too....think green suits em, nice evocative wrap though, so many memories on that two car body,. HST looked nice too in its own greeny...final shot awesome...
1:11 chittern Railways just retired the last 121 earlier this year! 1:20 why do I find this livery odd? 2:33 was Tornado the only locmotive at this event that wasn't considered to be a "Western Region" locmotive? 2:55 nice to see a class 43 and class 47 repainted into Intercity swallow livery and still used in normal service! 3:50 nice to see a steamer moving here! Nice to see two trains with special liveries for this occasion! I'm surprised only part of the 180 was in the new livery! 7:57 nice to see that there! 8:42 that picture is an instant classic! City of Truro should've been here!
Ooooofh, 41001 (Aka Project Miller), was sorted out at Leeds Nevile Hill, with quite some input from East Midlands Trains, and quite often found showcasing a HST set from EMT..... would have been nice to have that Paxman Valenta cranked up, screaming it's head off :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_41_(HST)
All of the locos here are in use. Some of them are preserved on heritage railways, some of them are in use still with GWR and some of them are in use with other Train Operating Companies.
