Last year, I was listening to Creature Feature’s cover of Bury a Friend, when a hearse drove by, and I thought “how ironic, they’re burying a friend”, and I was trying my hardest not to laugh to myself because of The Hearse Song.
Now they’ve done a cover of it and it feels like the cycle is complete

My grandpa used to sing this song to me, albeit in a much sillier way. He had a stroke halloween night after I went trick or teating with him and my grandma and was gone within the week. Hard to believe it's been 12 years since then. I miss you so much pepere.

This song is actually really cover or not. Curtis, you did an amazing job on this and it kinda sounds like you're bringing back the style of It Was A Dark And Stormy Night... and I love it. The Hearse song dates back to the 1850s and has many different versions and styles, but this one is the most different that I've heard. It was done really well.

@@AlfredSoul yes, they are !! erik x hasn't been in the band for a while now, mostly due to family issues. that's the rumour anyways. we know he's still a member of the band, but he's not working on stuff right now for one reason or another. curtis sends everything to him for approval before uploads though if that makes you feel any better. he's still apart of the band.

I think this is the first creature feature song I'll can't finish. This song has always brought my depression back. New lyrics or not. Glad to see you guys with a new song but i'll wait for the next one.
You need some serious help if a song brings on depression that easily. Or you're just glorifying it as depression is seen as cool to have and so if you feel slightly not happy for a day, oh that's depression! 😒

While I can adore creature feature's music and it's dark themes, for some reason this song has always brought it my depression back. I detest people who try to be "cool" by saying they have it or think it's just being sad for a few hours. I know the crushing pain of not feeling a damn thing even as life crashes down around me or people I know die! Staying up for days on end dreading the slow creep of time coming for me and I will never escape it. I like creature feature's music because it helps with it, helps keep it away despite singing about what I dread the most. But this song is an exception. I don't know why but it does. Always has. Don't treat me like I'm just trying to get attention

Wow, another CF song that is gonna live in my head rent free
I never knew that I would become such a macabre fan yet it makes sense as I've always been deep/philosophical and fascinated by oddities and everything weird.
Every single CF song is truly an inspiration to me as they capture vast imagery and topics. Many songs express the unpredictability of death and how trivial it is to obsess over. Others talk about aliens and the paranormal (both of which I'm an adamant believer in). I can say without doubt that this is my absolute favourite band. The composition, vocals and vast instrumentation is remarkable and their vocabulary is exemplary. Thank you guys for gifting the world with your imagination.

I- my mom used to sing this to me when I was little because she learned in her guide unit.. it sounded so much different than this but I didn’t know I needed a rock version of this song, I was planning a campfire for my guide meeting and I remembered this song and so now we’re going to “sing” (we aren’t allowed to sing :/) it for our enrolment. Idk how to finish this but like anyone who doesn’t know this as an old guide/scout song picture a bunch of like 12 year old girls singing this but with more worms eating your stomach and crawling out your ears and into your eyes
