Wish more people would appreciate the early beginnings of trance. Not just follow a straight line that is mainstream. Places like Goa and Ibiza have such rich history when it comes to the true spirit of dance and trance music ✌️
@@JenXOfficialEDM Yes I'm totally hearing Mr Vain in this mix from 3.15 onwards. I think it demonstrates how similar the riff of Mr Vain (and also The Real Thing by 2 Unlimited) was to Rhythm Is A Dancer which is of course based on a sample itself.
never looked long for this. came out in '92, and it's in my HOUSE since '92, just because of a friend. it was, is & will be 4ever just a cheesy pop club hit. but a really good one ;)
Joyous to find it here, now, in 2025. I remember this came up on shuffle one nite, 2008 rumpin' aht my Eclipse. It got the nod and the vibe was vibrant that nite! 🤘
@ I think the CD only had 3 tracks; original mix, radio edit and Purple Haze mix. Rhythm Is A Dancer ‘single’ CD is what you want if you’re looking to buy it online. Hope this helps.
@@mr.thegreat557 'Preciate the heads up. I thought this Purple Haze joint was on some epic compilation CD of sorts. I've got a few of them puppies laying around, '98 era. EPIC cuts on there; i.e. a Madonna Like a Prayer trance remix that'll peel your eyelids clean off! 🤘(my fave was a 'Pure Trance Party Mix(?), a 2 disc'er, one black, one white.)
Little did I know in 1992 that my musical brain was craving something more. It took until 1998 to really discover the underground scene of hard driving DJ music
Fuck that Spanish Guitar break gets me every time. Didn't care for this when I had the single. Then as you get older you start to appreciate the true pioneers of our genre. I just played D2T's Take a Free Fall in the gym too weirdly. Love your channel my friend.
I always loved the original Eurodance hit, and never paid much attention to the remixes until years later. I do really like this version from DJ Dag & Jam El Mar though. Has a touch of class about it IMO :)
oh this takes me back to rave days..... every time an artist we liked came out with a new album we would scramble to find out which mix "it" was. Because for a good few years there, you were guaranteed that the single version (an LP/CD) would have a version on there to be played at the raves. This new genre of dance music had no agreed-upon name yet ("Definitely not disco" maybe or "Definitely not 1983"), so the right mix could be called anything. There is nothing cooler than already knowing the song the first time time you hear it played at a rave. It thought I was the shiznit in an I-think-I-know-everything-since-turning-eighteen sort of way. the memories.... i mean, this is still the time that everyone did acid at the clubs. thats why they were underground, we all thought. oh the melting, breathing,,, memories,,,,,,,,,
Uplift everyone and help instead of negative and downing. And not yet but in 2023 u can book your dream whilst still time cruise grey 2024 ,so do your VERY BEST XXO
Great song! I remember this in the 90's being played on Z100 and KTU like every day lol. Man, the memories...lol that cover is funny, that looks like an adult version of the Nirvana cover where they have a naked baby swimming with his winky hanging out. This one has an adult dude with his thingy out lol. But anyway, great remix!
mrmarcellos The original is a great track as far as Eurodance goes for sure but we wouldn’t add it here. This version from Jam El Mar & DJ Dag is nice and Trancey though with more of a dreamy feel to it. Has a touch of class about it. Love them both in their own ways 😊
Purple Hazed ..... aka legends Dance 2 Trance (DJ Dag & Jam El Mar) :)

Oh, I thought it was Purple Haze aka Sander van Doorn. I'm confused and a little disappointed. But, undoubtedly, the remix is wonderful.
The best mix IMHO. I love Dance 2 Trance. Their style reminds me a lot of that of the late Torsten Fenslau.

Heavily influence by Stella by Jam (El Mar) & (Mark) Spoon.
Man I've been looking for this version for too long! Finally found it ❤️ 📣2022 anyone??

I bought the single on cassette in 92 and listened to this more than the A side
Fell in love with this remix as soon as I heard it back in 1992 on MTV party to go Vol. 3 It is THE ONLY version of Rhythm Is A Dancer I like ❤
Turbo B! the only rapper to accidentally start a religon 🕺🕺. thanks for keeping me to my roots @Trance Classics ♥
My mate had this mix back in ‘92 on a CD. I was the only one who liked it, everyone else thought it was crap. Idiots.
😀
This was on a CD in 1992?! I WANT THAT CD!!!

This remix was on the cassette single i had but back in 1992 i never liked this remix. Listening to it now, I really like it 😁

You can really feel the jam el mar influence in this. Maybe should of been on triptomatic 😗
I loved it since first hearing like the original version, searched a long time to find it, today I got luck ❤ thank you 🙏
Same! I was only 12 back then so wasn't quite ripe enough yet for this mix!
I have the original CD with this Versin on it❤
Such good times
Its funny my parents always said why do you prefer this version?! I told them as its really spaced out lol Liked the washed out vibe.
Goosebumps...we got old!

the song just reminds of beer
In Brazil, this song is, till today, related to male strip tease because of a 90's soap opera.
😆
Schoner Classic im Remix
💯🔥
I am desperately trying to find a very specific 12 inch version of this song called the Jiminy Cricket Mix. Any ideas?
Art of Mix?
