Haven't used it much yet but I'm pleased with how it is and the glowing reviews it's getting, and hey, LDAC. Also managed to get for around 90bucks on sale with a pair of bullets type c. I would love these. Just for the form factor. But the added fun sound… that’s another bright side. I have the Airpods Pro but I recently started mixing between using it and my OG wired Earpods. Man this design may be a bad fit for some people, but I love it and when it works, it REALLY works.
Silicon tips always really hurt my ears. I have an android phone, but would seriously consider these. Would have been nice if you'd briefly mentioned which of the features are iPhone-only. I have over-ear headphones for when I want ANC
I got these for myself recently, I tried the linkbuds but they just wouldn’t stay in my ear. I got lucky and got a new pair for £130, for comparison in the UK my local store sells the older AirPods for £119 so I feel I got a good deal. I’m quite happy with them and the Apple magic is quite nifty with my iPad.
4:56 that's the most moronic feature I've ever seen, why the hell would anyone want to hear their music like it's coming from one single spot, literally the worst part of using speakers, and have it as a "feature" on their headphones/earphones????
Same i had the air pods 2 and thet broke and I got the 3’s on my bday on March 14th and I’m so glad I got the 3rd gen and I love them more then any model
I traveled to Vancouver in September and stayed in Surrey during my trip (a lot farther than I expected…), but this is the first video I’ve seen from LMG that I recognize the location, knowing that the LMG offices are in Surrey. I’ll never forget those double bridges with one for cars and the other for the metro/subway.
The battery in the case of my 2nd gen let go a few days ago. I’m in love with the 3rd gen. I’ve now had all 3 and always been happy. The pros have those silicone tips which for a segment of the population who have higher water content in their ear wax, are deeply uncomfortable.
make them type C and I'll buy them. For now, I'll keep the normal wired ones that came with my iPhone 6S, since I prefer non rubber tip earphones, and my android phone still has a headphone jack
I just started watching Mac Address yesterday on a lazy Saturday. Despite being all-in on non apple products (aside from my iPhone) I’m still captivated by Jonathan as a presenter. It’s a great plus that my girlfriend can watch and actually get interested in a tech video too. You guys kill it on MAC addresses. I don’t know if it’s just being an underdog to LTT that makes you go above and beyond, but I’m marathoning these videos and I can’t wait for more.
Omg it’s so obnoxious when my Pros disconnects from my iPhone for my iPad when someone is calling me and then my MacBook M1 takes over randomly and I’m struggling to listen to Spotify while I’m focusing on a project
8:05 the Galaxy Buds are cheap and sound bad? That's not like most reviews I've heard of them, and the shape is also so different it doesn't seem like a wannabe product
I have these as my first wireless earphones and the only issue I have with these so far is, that I fling them across the room occasionally when taking off my face mask in a hurry
I know some people hate them, but I have a pair of Galaxy buds live and I love them, they fit my ear perfectly and a way more comfortable than my old silicon tipped earbuds
They are pretty great for those of us who hate IEMs but still want some earbuds that sound good and are pocketable. While I wouldn't call them audiophile they do sound pretty good when compared to my X2HR's that I use at my desk. I was lucky though the fit is good for me and they don't seem to fall out. No isolation at all though like wearing open back headphones you hear EVERYTHING around you. My only real complaint is I wish apple would come up with a way to replace the batteries since they will end up being replaced I'm guessing in 2-4 years.
I am SO GLAD that Apple isn’t giving up on regular Airpods in favor of the in-ear version. Silicone tipped earbuds don’t fit in my ears, so AirPods Pro are completely useless to me
@@krazymeanie I've never found a size that didn't fall out, ive tried so many They're just super uncomfortable and refuse to stay put in my ears. The regular ones on the other hand feel like they aren't even there and are rock solid no matter how i move Its just a matter of different ears being different. A lot of folks love silicone tipped earbuds, but a lot of other folks just cant make use of them at all
5:41 -- Aaaaand *there* is the reason I will never own a pair of wireless earbuds. Only the wired kind, where the two earbuds are connected to each other by a wire, and can hang around your neck when they're not in your ears (like the Beats Flex, for example). Because when you need to take your wireless earbuds out to have a normal conversation, you have to put them somewhere -- and that "somewhere" usually winds up being a table or desk nearby. Then you walk off and forget them. You're lucky ever to get them back again at that point. I'm not dealing with that, ever. Nope. Not doing it.
THANK YOU for talking about price. So many reviews (mainly from the big players *cough* MKBHD *cough* completely ignore price with Apple products (and their other products). I love that you acknowledge the price, put it into context, and admit that they are pricey (like most Apple items :P) I'm not really an Apple fan, but this channel is GREAT
I will stick with Apple because their products are not expensive with apple care, calm down and hear me out. I brought my AirPods 2 with wired charging case at a discount and apple care ended up paying the exact same price as a new AirPods 2 due to various battery problems like the left earbuds and the right one was not balanced on battery level and the battery health is running low, I have replaced the earbuds for 5 times and the case one time during the past 2 years with 0 additional charges. This means I have been using the AirPods with a slightly higher price tag than the knockoff while having a genuine product from apple.

iam a peasant with a high IQ. Bloody MAC. Linux with a purpose. What is that purpose today? Money/control + ARM. Its like good vs evil. 2 halves. What we buy defines them. All BT is is a a highly compressed high latency speaker in your ear, it is. 2.4ghz is 15ms+ before dual everything.. 5ghz? Hello. Wires + wave? My time. I clean my own stuff too, last longer too. Me dumb, me like ×= 0.5 for /2. CPU like me. Planet too.
I once bought Samsung galaxy buds and razer hammerheads to compare them to my AirPods because I didn’t want to believe that the AirPods are the best true wireless buds and I send the android competitors back after just one day because there was nothing as good as AirPods even if I’m an android user. The others just didn’t fit in my ears and felt VERY cheap compared to the AirPods. I just knew they wouldn’t last that long. And to be clear, I’m NOT talking about sound quality. I’m taking about build quality because I don’t see myself in a position to rate the sound quality
I couldn’t live without silicone tips anymore. But maybe that’s because I’m from the era where all you had were some flimsy foam over the speaker and you really to force them in. Still get PTSD only thinking of the discomfort while wearing them… Even if the shape has nowadays changed, I just can’t pick them up. Something in me is struggling
I have some gen 1 AirPods. Are they better than my Shure SRH1840 OTE? No obviously not even close, I have to use a headphone amp for those bad boys. BUT…are they decent, yes, is their integration into the OS seamless, yes, is the battery life decent, yes. They may not be the best at everything but as a package they are the best. That’s Apple. Obviously the pros and these new ones are better, but it’s the same thing, they aren’t the best at anything, they are good at everything which very few products will get right.
$189 for these? AirPod pros are constantly on sale for cheaper, and is currently for sale for $159 on Amazon, plus you get ANC. I mean sure if you don’t like the silicon tips, sure, but if your looking for the better option, the pros are better and most of the time cheaper
LOve the videos. I get it you only do apple hardware product vids. All the vids are like i am looking on to world through apple devices. How about a reverse perspective vid. ….. sorry if that sounds dumb. Idk what i am talking about 🙃
Mite I suggest an iPhone, Uh no, I'll stick with my Samsung phone that I can transfer files with type c port. Buds pro or buds 2 work better but I need noise cancelling as my environment is always noisy.
The weird thing is that according to the credits this video was made by the exact same people as normal LMG videos, but somehow it has this much more personal tone. The other LMG videos often feel like high quality factory products whereas Max Address videos are artisan products.
This was really nicely done and presented. But noise cancellation comes up on my radar often. I can get into a lot of noisy environments and I'm not sure these would perform. But, silicone makes my ..er, ear canal sweat.?? What to do ..what to do. I have headphones but they're hard to carry. So now what?
>Not cleaning your ears >Not cleaning your earbuds >Not cleaning your nails >Or cutting them for that matter after they exceed 3mm+ Wtf is up with Americans and personal hygiene?
Sony have been making in ear buds with tips for decades and you’re telling me that they’re not liked? I’ve owned so many pairs of rubber tipped ones. I can’t cope with how loose the airpods are- or all the crap I can hear from outside.
Now people have to make a choice either the new airpods, Or the beats fit pro that are slightly more expensive like 20 bucks more. I am a owner of beats fit pro and they fit so good they feel insecure but are very secure, but if you have very small ears I don't recommend them cause of the wing tip.
I wish I can test out a pair of Airpods/Airpods Pros to see if they can at least fit inside of my ears. My ears aren't friendly to earbuds, and I need to stick to (over-the-ear) headphones but then my ears get sweaty.
I don't know why people complain about them collecting earwax (gag), is it the headphones that are the issue or your personal hygiene habits that's the gross problem?! 😂
I had some time ago come across this channel and was like, this is some kind of apple nerd. Then I watched a video from LTT that mentioned this and I was like.:"Wtf." :-D
Having just bought a pair of OnePlus buds pro last week, and has a one plus phone... I will get an iPhone when they have no notch (like the one plus 7 pro which I will not give up), and speed charge over usb type c. Until then sir. I will be buying a MacBook pro m1 max though...
If you use the smaller sized silicone tips then the airpods don't fall out. At least that's how it worked for me. They fit great with the smallest tip size and don't fall out. Ever.
those earwax shots gross. How is that possible even, don't people clean their ears every day? I once wore airpods for 8 hours straight and took it out clean.

Love your videos. Covered it from every angle possible. The ear wax part was unreal. Great production value. NEAT
I love the sound of this…im using this for 3 days now from airpods 2 user, it was a big leap, from design and sound quality
They’re not hard to maintain. They’re outright disposable
What kind of psycho turns there phone to the right to full screen 😂
he's left-handed i think
@@neilmacalevey7453 ah! Did you know the Latin for 'left' is sinister?
But that's none of my business 😂😂😂
The battery in the case of my 2nd gen let go a few days ago. I’m in love with the 3rd gen. I’ve now had all 3 and always been happy.
The pros have those silicone tips which for a segment of the population who have higher water content in their ear wax, are deeply uncomfortable.
My mans really out here doing the headshake test on a wooden jetty out to sea with cracks in between the planks
Love the intro
make them type C and I'll buy them. For now, I'll keep the normal wired ones that came with my iPhone 6S, since I prefer non rubber tip earphones, and my android phone still has a headphone jack
This channel is the best addition to LMG by far. Quality content!
He said a lot of them are wannabe’s, he didn’t say all of them were
@@markomclane475 True. But they don't seem to fit any of the descriptions mentioned. They sound good, aren't cheap, and aren't imitations.
Excellent video as usual! 👌🏼 Could you tell us more about the issues you experienced between AirPods and the 24" iMac please?
I have these as my first wireless earphones and the only issue I have with these so far is, that I fling them across the room occasionally when taking off my face mask in a hurry
Sounded amazing, were so uncomfy had to return them. Just bought a new pair of Gen2 to replace my dead gen1
In the same boat. I miss the quality of the 3’s but they were just uncomfortable
I didn‘t realize you lived in the Vancouver area! So cool, hope you‘re safe during the crazy weather recently.
for anyone wondering how these stood up to ear wax: sarah did end up clogging the third gens with ear wax still
tyvm
@@komayo another update tho! they found a belkin airpod cleaner kit that clears it all right up for $15 :)
@@mib5633 oh yo! i’ll keep this in mind for future reference. i appreciate it :3 ❤️
I know some people hate them, but I have a pair of Galaxy buds live and I love them, they fit my ear perfectly and a way more comfortable than my old silicon tipped earbuds
yeah came here to defend the Galaxy buds, they are not "cheap, bad, airpod wanna be's"
The thumbnail brings me back to the old iTunes days
You can swap for third party foam tips on AirPods Pro.
bro for tha price, those are TGH - too goddam high!! and its a review, not overview right? .. we need to talk to another options for the money then...
I feel attacked by that transparency mode comment
I don’t know why but I’m getting David Brian Gilbert energy from this guy
But, they scratch so easily, I haven’t dropped my AirPods on any hard surfaces, and they have so many scratches!
I think your expectations are quite
too low. Hence they are performing better than expected.
I am SO GLAD that Apple isn’t giving up on regular Airpods in favor of the in-ear version. Silicone tipped earbuds don’t fit in my ears, so AirPods Pro are completely useless to me
Aren't there like different sizes??
@@krazymeanie I've never found a size that didn't fall out, ive tried so many
They're just super uncomfortable and refuse to stay put in my ears. The regular ones on the other hand feel like they aren't even there and are rock solid no matter how i move
Its just a matter of different ears being different. A lot of folks love silicone tipped earbuds, but a lot of other folks just cant make use of them at all
Disagree. They don't sound better than the pros, if not simply because of the better seal
Just want to say that I am a PC and Android guy, but your content is next level. I watch every video.
I love that you acknowledge the price, put it into context, and admit that they are pricey (like most Apple items :P)
I'm not really an Apple fan, but this channel is GREAT
MKBHD always talks about price.

I love my airpods pro not interested in the airpods I am definitely going for the pros 2 when they come just to show apple I support the pro lineup and that it shouldn't be cancelled
I use 30$ earbuds from Anker where i can mix the Sound. I would not waste so much money for "more bass" sound. 🤷♂️
Heh, this dropped right as I was buying my 3rd gens
Your style of reviews are amazing. Storytelling camera quality. Camera movement etc
Sometimes I think about getting some sort of AirPods, but then remember I prefer headphones and I don't listen to anything on my iPhone anyway
Linus Media Group should eventually invest in a 3D head or ear pair microphone (3Dio or similar) for audio device reviews
I don't really care about Apple at all. I own no Apple products. But I can't stop watching your videos!
iam a peasant with a high IQ.
Planet too.
After having used Airpods Pro for 1.5 years, there is no way I am ever buying headphones without ANC again.
Still get PTSD only thinking of the discomfort while wearing them…
Even if the shape has nowadays changed, I just can’t pick them up.
Does AirPods Max still way ahead better than these or close enough that doesn't make sense to spend so much?
The bluetooth issues kill me more than having to have my right earbud at max volume to hear anything 😔
Running out of budget, is it still recommended to buy 2nd generation AirPods?
$189 for these? AirPod pros are constantly on sale for cheaper, and is currently for sale for $159 on Amazon, plus you get ANC. I mean sure if you don’t like the silicon tips, sure, but if your looking for the better option, the pros are better and most of the time cheaper
LOve the videos. I get it you only do apple hardware product vids. All the vids are like i am looking on to world through apple devices. How about a reverse perspective vid. ….. sorry if that sounds dumb. Idk what i am talking about 🙃
Mite I suggest an iPhone,
Uh no, I'll stick with my Samsung phone that I can transfer files with type c port.
>Not cleaning your ears
>Not cleaning your earbuds
>Not cleaning your nails
>Or cutting them for that matter after they exceed 3mm+
Wtf is up with Americans and personal hygiene?
Sony have been making in ear buds with tips for decades and you’re telling me that they’re not liked? I’ve owned so many pairs of rubber tipped ones. I can’t cope with how loose the airpods are- or all the crap I can hear from outside.
Now people have to make a choice either the new airpods, Or the beats fit pro that are slightly more expensive like 20 bucks more. I am a owner of beats fit pro and they fit so good they feel insecure but are very secure, but if you have very small ears I don't recommend them cause of the wing tip.
This nails it… also, what are y’all doing to produce so much ear wax?!?
What kind of monster uses transparency mode ALL THE TIME??!? I guess I just don’t like people and prefer to be isolated 🤷♂️
I wish I can test out a pair of Airpods/Airpods Pros to see if they can at least fit inside of my ears. My ears aren't friendly to earbuds, and I need to stick to (over-the-ear) headphones but then my ears get sweaty.
I heard the air pod sound in the vid and thought wtf is going on because I had my own on and that confused me
HELP! When I use head tracked spatial audio with my AirPods Pro, it doesn’t sound like the audio is coming from my phone. Can anyone help me
I don't know why people complain about them collecting earwax (gag), is it the headphones that are the issue or your personal hygiene habits that's the gross problem?! 😂
7:25 I feel personally attacked
I had some time ago come across this channel and was like, this is some kind of apple nerd. Then I watched a video from LTT that mentioned this and I was like.:"Wtf." :-D
I love the production but holy fuck can you PLEASE stop showing that shot of the wax-filled airpods? It's revolting
1:56 i thought my audio cut out 😂
Having just bought a pair of OnePlus buds pro last week, and has a one plus phone...
Personally find these buds painfully average, and much prefer the pros as I’m am audio purist. I really appreciate this video though
