This method of learning is probably my fav right now and im using it to get wrap dub full now. I've always had strong wrap full and wrap full hyper but on every wrap dub full attempt i would land on a really weird axis and fall to the side. For a couple of days im trying to do something similar to what you explained here (doing wrap full 1.5, landing on one foot in semi and pushing my 2nd leg to the floor) this method really reduce falling on trick and it allows you to progress at your own pace.
