This was such an awesome show! The lush tropical setting, high performance vehicles and action packed stunts! Sure do miss it now but you guys really had alot of fun! Thank you so much for the excellent video!
Hey Matt, Holly O'Brien here (Pat's wife) how I missssss that show! Pat doesn't, he was pretty sore after 7 years of doing that show, the poor old body starts to fight back....lol. Water World is stupid, I hate it. Vice had a way of appealing to all ages and interacting with the audience, much like the rest of the tour in those days - everyone felt welcome. We had some fun years there for sure. I cried when they tore down my old job (Victoria Station). Universal is now like every other amusement park; digital rides and blank faced tourists walking like robots from one ride line to the next.
You couldn't have summed it up any better, Holly. We were there during the truly golden years. Was there crap to put up with? Yeah, sometimes, but man that was a lot of fun! I'm glad I got to have fun on stage with Pat. Please say hello! Nice to "see" you!
@@mattcreeks1446 I absolutely will (he's at work but he'll be thrilled we connected!). You are so right, those were the Golden years and every one who either worked there or visited said the same thing. We were very blessed to have been a part of it. Hugs my friend. Hope you are well! xxoo
@@sevenyes7 glad you liked the show. I think I edited 3 or 4 shows together for the different camera angles. Oh, to go back and do it again! Here's to 2023!
1:00 you know I might be crazy but I've always thought that was a different person being shot (comically through the door) but now I'm realizing it might be the stuntman playing the director. Could you correct me if I'm wrong?
@@mattcreeks1446 I thought that would've been the case and I skipped through the entire soundtrack from Jan Hammer but couldn't find it. Not sure it it was an original piece composed exclusively for the show but I might have to go back and comb through the soundrack once again. Love that song's guitar riff.
@@chronoslayercs I was in this show almost from the beginning and I'm pretty sure no original music was created for it. If I remember correctly, there were two different soundtrack albums. It's out there somewhere.
@@rollandtrann679 if you watch another video on this channel titled "Universal Studios Hollywood", you will get some good footage when the show was under construction. Other than that, I just went to work, grabbed the microphone, and did the show.
Miami Vice was one of the best show's Universal had! I miss it. I met Carl who played Crockette in 92.
August 1988. I was there😎👌

what role did you have in the stunt show? did you ever get to play as Crockett?

You are correct. It's actually me being shot through those doors and then coming out as the director.
@@mattcreeks1446 wow, that's gotta be a fast change of shirts then lol.
Very nice video ❤stay connected pls ❤
Anyone know the song name that plays in the background during 4:08?
Not entirely positive. It's from the Miami Vice soundtrack by Jan Hammer, but not sure what cut this is.

it's an unreleased track from the show that Jan Hammer made, it's called 'Klaus' as reference to the episode it's used in.
Do you have anything on behind the scenes of the show itself? Would be cool if you did
No, I sure don't. I was just going to work everyday. I didn't think to videotape it.
@@mattcreeks1446 I see, that's ok, would you be willing to tell me how things went though?

@@mattcreeks1446 What's inside the area you come out? (the house the blows up) resting area?
@@rollandtrann679 no, a fall pad on it's side and the cable system attached to weights that drop when my foot presses on the button.
