I’ve been doing this for years without knowing it had a name because I’m a deathrocker/goth who uses white face paint and whose style was partially influenced by fairy kei, decora, visual kei and ball jointed dolls, specifically elfgutz. I’m excited to look into this more
I adore extreme aesthetics like this and commend anyone who commits to it because it takes A. LOT. of effort to look this epic. From trad goth and scene to Lolita and stuff like this. Wish I had the confidence and time to pull it off.
i think that i really like and or love that and or this style and or the style shown and or involved in this 30 second short and or shorts video and or i think it is really cool and or aesthetic and or pretty and or nice to look at at least to me and or for me and or with me and or on me and or in me and or in my personal opinion to me and or for me and or with me and or on me and or in me
yes. if you arnt trying to be rude, nothing should be seen as rude. painting yourself can be a display of art. unless you walk around making fun of other cultures, it shouldn't be taken wrong at all.
@@cherry_chewerThis might be controversial. But would the same go for a white person using black facepaint? Ik theres the whole blackface thing but if its not associated with blackface (which 99.9% of the time it isn’t) then I feel like its fine

genuine question, japanese alt styles specifically or any alt style? like, id try something like it if its socially acceptable to do it with my usual scene kid stuff
it is something that hails from japanese alternative fashion, the history behind it is pretty interesting! and dark, though i notice cybrgrl avoids talking about darker aspects of jfashion lately. basically it used to be apart of japanese nationalist protest, until around 80s/90s when it got picked up in harajuku slowly as an addition to other fashions, so it presently no longer has that association when worn by people now. however, there is already precedent for similar white-face type makeup in western gothic, in the form of tradgoth styles doing makeup with a very very thick layer of white powder! and even then, feel free to experiment! if you want to mix this type of makeup with scene, go for it! i know scene kids that take insp from decora and fairy kei, as well as visual kei substyles thats were popular in the 2000s! fashion is all about experimentation and finding out what fits your expression of self best :)!
It's funny how some bully people who dress like this or do these types of make up, saying that there is something wrong with the newer generation when most of these "trends" are based on old traditions from different cultures
Sunset Makeup has a white foundation that is really good, Ben Nye Clown White is the other best option and a container of it will literally last YEARS. I’m a deathrocker who uses it on a daily basis and over the past 5 years I’ve only gone through enough to fill probably 1/4th of a mason jar. It looks the best if you first pat an even coat onto your face with your fingers then go over it with a beauty blender. Ben Nye has a white setting powder that I recommend using with it. Using a pigmented white setting powder is key to getting that paper white, even look and keeping it in place.
It’s what I used for the white under my eyes in my profile picture. If you want a drugstore makeup option to test the waters, the nyx jumbo eye pencil in the color milk also works and if you can’t find white setting powder you CAN set it with a matte white eyeshadow

the interview with minori was great
I love the ones that made themselves look like dolls!!
That’s so cool!
oo slightly like corpse paint in the metal scene :)
I mean I sort of see the connection but the aim of corpse paint is to actually look like a corpse, this gives me more of a porcelain doll feel
You are adorable!!! I LOVE the colorful aesthetic. It's so joyful.
Gives the appearance of a Porcelain doll
Minori’s looks are so pretty.
Wooow
Cool! I want to thank you for introducing me to new styles I may nit know of.
Omg no I am in love with these outfits ❤❤❤❤❤

shironuri reminds me of matyoshka (sorry if i got the song name wrong)
OMG I ALWAYS WONDERED IF THAT WAS A THING i always liked painting my face white but i was afraid it make me look like a clown or a walmart geisha 💀
Some of theses gives Kikuo vibes
Anyone know any good white foundations? I would love to do this!❤
That’s an interesting type of style .0.
Can non Japanese do this style? I heard that its inspired by the traditional geisha makeup, and I don't want to be disrespectful.
I’d love to know as well!
Yes. There are Shironuri artists from USA, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil & Europe as well.

What about of you did a decora Lolita look 😆
this invites experimentation with clowncore imo, so playful
Kuronuri when?
