It doesn't make wallbouncing faster, it makes it smoother and easier. By setting your setting from Default to Alternate means you can wallbounce all day. The Alternate setting means X is to Roadie run so A is a separate button for wallbouncing. The main purpose of this is to stop rolling when you are trying to wallbounce

when i first switched to alternate i felt a huge difference in the speed, but i also felt like i was sticking to a lot more walls at first too because of how fast you can slide into cover... it takes a while to adjust to it, so if i was you i would just pick one or the other and stick with it, cause switching back and forth has to be confusing

it depends on alot of things... how wide the hallway is, if you want to go wall to wall or stay somewhat in the middle... probably like 45 degrees is the easiest description

the best way i can explain it is that the angle you take has to match how wide the hallway is and how you are moving your left analog stick... basically you can stay mostly in the middle if you take a lesser angle or you can take a bigger angle and go wall to wall
i use the razer onza... it has a two extra bumpers in front of the standard ones that you can program to be whatever button you want... i use alternate so my left programmable button i use the X button and the right programmable button i use the A button... so technically i am hitting the A button when i press the extra bumper
yea it happens a lot when you first start, the entire movement is switched around... the angles are different so you can't wallbounce the same as you can on default.. you just have to get used to it ;)

Nice bouncing, but I got some questions, how do u keep from rolling out while bouncing? Also, my sensitivity is at 30 30 30 and my character can't look around as quickly as yours... Could it be that I'm using an old controller that's not as sensitive as a new one? And lastly it seems like u can duck into cover from farther away than me
i've never tried the scuf so i have no idea... the only complaint i could have about the onza is that it breaks easily and for no reason... but if you have a warranty then its the perfect controller for any game

on alternate controls it will seem hard to go from wall to wall u basically just need to pull away from the wall just a little quicker when your moving constant better when you look from one wall to the other when bouncing for some people just takes practice
this video is all done on alternate controls... sliding into cover feels alot faster then it does on default so pulling off is a hard thing to do at first... the best thing for alternate is not to pull off, just go to the next wall with the left analog stick cause you dont have to worry about rolling... its all about the angles when you are on alternate =]

It's much easier to wallbounce when using both Default and this Hanzo controller. You can mash the bounce button (see 07:02 / mashing RB) without fear of diving/rolling by mistake.

point to the wall you want press A use the left or right stick or both to look to another wall and bounce to the other wall your looking at as fast as possible so left A button right A up and to left A button.... and so on

theres a lot of different play styles in gears, some people think hard aiming a gnasher or using a rifle the entire game takes skill which is a joke to me... its every players personal preference
And for those trying to learn how to angle bounce, learning while having the camera angled to the right is much easier and more natural than with a left angle. Both are useful and an asset to you, but this is for learning purposes.
no they're great but the buttons randomly stop working, they don't last very long... i wouldn't want you to go out and buy one and have it break within a week then be out 50 bucks
In GoW UE you can use the tournament controller mapping otherwise, switches the Tac and Roadie run/cover/mantle, meaning you get run on LB and tac on A.
ehh i've never had a problem with it breaking in my hands if you mean its like cheap plastic or something like that lol... it has a lot of internal problems like buttons just stop registering

Play Gears of War 2 when it comes out until it ends, then you will become a master wallbouncer. Until late in Gears 3, when everyone is using clawbounce and people can turn really fast that they can shoot you no matter what you do.
