Sros you use fresh tumeric l have seen it . The leaves have a nice aroma to steam and make rice dumplings .we call it patola the local term .it is made in August. A thick rice paste applied on the leaves and filling of coconut and jaggery with cardimom powder you have to cook it dry no water added..the leaf is folded and steamed . It is so yummy . You have the leaves. Coconut in plenty and Jaggery. Which you say palm sugar. Many make this .

@@SrosYummyCookingVlogs your most welcome. So many call me Master chef, and tell me to enter compitions. But I like to keep a low profile. I use to take classes and orders years ago. But now l don't .l only put what l make on Instagram. You have so much around and a nice market. Though l don't eat some stuff ,l appreciate your cooking, we all have different eating habits. I never order food and eat in hotels from long ago. I prepare everything at home.

I use Kashmir chili dried ones from the grocery.l roast it a bit and take the seeds out . Store it , when used soak in hot , when cooled blend in mixer. You get a fine paste sharing this tip . The same with fresh coconut pour hot water on the scraped coconut. When cooled it grinds to a fine paste. We make curries with fresh and dedicated coconut roasted. 4 to 5 times l run the blender off and on. I share useful tips .
